According to trade reports, the Box Office collections of Allu Sirish-starrer Srirastu Subhamastu are pretty good. Even after the first weekend, the family entertainer is doing steady business at the ticket windows. Till Monday, the film has collected Rs 4.25 Crore share in AP and Nizam alone. The film (original Telugu version) has collected another 40 Lakh share in Karnataka and Rest of India.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal-Gautami starrer Manamantha which released on same day has seen a slow start. The openings were poor. However, the collections of emotional drama have picked up. Thanks to positive reviews and good word-of-the-mouth, theatres are witnessing turn out from family crowds.

On other hand, Pelli Choopulu is strong at Box Office. Made on shoe-string budget, the film is minting money. While the film’s overseas collections were pretty good, it witnessed a slight dip in Andhra, Nizam and Ceded.

After launching his political outfit Jana Sena to ‘question’ injustice, Power Star Pawan Kalyan himself made the party ineffective and lifeless by maintaining silence over the impending issues in the state and thus people lost trust in it.While Pawan continues to elude from his responsibilities to make Jana Sena a formidable alternative in state’s politics, his fans and the party’s cadres have finally woken up from the slumber and are holding a series of meetings to revive the party’s strength.

Recently, thousands of Jana Sena activists from the two Telugu states held the party’s governing council meeting in Vizag, Vijayawada and Nellore and discussed on the various means to strengthen the party’s roots in AP and Telangana, keeping the 2019 elections in mind.These cadres have decided to carry out a series of charity works and social service camps on Pawan’s birthday through the party’s banner and urged all the Power Star fans to take part irrespective of their political choices.

While the cadres’ initiatives are highly appreciable, it still remains to be seen whether Pawan will take inspiration from his fans and join their efforts to revive Jana Sena.

Naga Chaitanya has signed a film in the direction of Chandoo Mondeti. The film is the official remake of Malayalam super hit film Premam. The film is titled as Premam in Telugu too. He has paired up with Anupama Parameswaran, Madonna Sebastian, and Shruti Haasan in the film. Sitara Entertainments is the production house that is bankrolling the project Premam. Here is an interesting update about the film release. Naga Chaitanya has released a poster of the film featuring him in all the three looks and said that the film is gearing up for September release.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, one of the top actresses of the South who pockets not less than a crore for each film, says that she finds no satisfaction in it.

In a cozy conversation with a leading media house, Samantha revealed that she had started earning at the very young age of 14. ‘I used to do some causal works at the weddings of rich people, and they used to pay Rs 1000 for 3 hours. Seeing the hard earned money, used to give so much satisfaction in those days,’ added that top actress.

Samantha has just finished her part in NTR starrer ‘Janatha Garage’. She has not signed any film and is sitting pretty much idle, waiting for her wedding to happen. Even Nagarjuna hinted about Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s marriage taking place soon.

Supreme hero Sai Dharam Tej is currently gearing up for the release of his next film titled Thikka. The film completed censor formalities and awarded with U/A certificate. The film is slated for a release on August 13th, a day after the release of big budgeted film Babu Bangaram.

The censor board members have appreciated the film unit a lot and have also praised the lead actors for their performances. The young hero is hoping to continue his success streak and pinned a lot of hopes on Thikka.

Putting an end to the speculations and suspense, Pawan Kalyan’s new film, tentatively titled ‘Kadapa King’, has gone on floors today.‘Gopala Gopala’ fame Dolly has been roped in to direct this film after SJ Suryah walked out. Now, a story is circulating on social media claiming to be the actual story of this film.

Pawan will play a faction leader based in Kadapa. He will have a love story at his young age, but it fails due to few issues. The faction leader decides not to marry and remains a bachelor even at 40. Then enters the beautiful heroine, who changes his opinion and makes him fall in love with her. The twist in the tale comes when the father of heroine doesn’t like factionists. How our faction leader mends his ways for the love of heroine forms the rest of the story.

Shruti Haasan will join the unit by August end.

Ace producer Dil Raju has unveiled the motion poster of his new production venture ‘Shatamanam Bhavati’.

Makers have clearly revealed that the film will explore the relationship between a grandfather and his grandson. Dil Raju compared the film with his earlier classic production venture ‘Bommarillu’, which explored the sensitive relation between a father and son. Prakash Raj, who played the father character in Bommarillu, has been roped in to play grandfather role in Shatamanam Bhavati. Jayasudha also is playing a key role as grandmother of hero in this film.

Sharwanand is playing the main lead. Anupama Parameswaran is essaying his leading lady. Satish Vegesna, who has worked as screenplay writer for many big films including ‘Gabbar Singh’, will direct this sentimental drama which is set for release next year.

The comedian turned hero Sunil has been working hard to make his presence felt as a full-time hero and in the same, he has come up with a fun entertainer Jakkanna which released on July 29. The film opened to a decent response and had made a good collection at the worldwide box office.As predicted by trade experts, the movie witnessed decent occupancy in theaters across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP/TS). The film collected Rs. 4.85 crore gross at the AP/TS box office on the first day and earned Rs. 3.30 crore for its distributors. It became the biggest opener in Sunil’s career after Maryada Ramanna.

Jakkanna collected Rs. 10.25 crore at the AP/TS box office in the first weekend and Rs. 6.81 crore for the distributors of these states. Jakkanna also had a good opening in Karnataka and other parts of the world. The film collected approximately Rs. 1 crore gross in other areas. The movie has collected approximately Rs. 2 crore gross in areas other than the Telugu-speaking states in the first weekend. It has earned Rs. 82 lakh to the distributors of those regions.

Jakkanna has collected a total of Rs 12.25 crore gross at the worldwide box office in the first weekend. The movie has earned Rs. 7.63 crore for its global distributors in three days. The film has recorded career best openings for Sunil till date and the audience are appreciating nonstop comedy. Directed by Vamsi Krishna Akella, the film set high expectations right from the promotions with impressive trailers and teasers. The film stars Mannara Chopra as the female lead, and the comedy has been received well by the audience.

Well, this must be a huge wave of relief for Sunil because he has been working to get a good break as a unique hero!
