Successful producer gifts a posh BMW car to a star director
Successful producer BVSN Prasad has gifted a luxury car to director Sukumar as their latest offering Nannaku Prematho becomes successful at the box office. A source close to the unit said that the BVSN Prasad has been contemplating to gift Sukumar ever since the film turned out to be a success and finally purchased BMW X3 and finally gifted Sukumar recently.
Producers gifting a car to the directors has become the recent trend in the industry. Soon after the success of Bhale Bhale Magadivoy producers Bunny Vas, and Vamsi, have gifted expensive Jaguar car to director Maruthi. Producer Bandla Ganesh had gifted 44-lakh worth diamond lighter to director Puri Jagannadh in the past before the duo worked for Iddarammayilatho.
Meanwhile, star heroes also presented cars to the directors. Superstar Mahesh Babu has gifted Audi A6 to director Koratala Siva for delivering a blockbuster Srimanthudu. Jr NTR recently said to have gifted a 20-Lakh watch to director Koratala Siva before the shooting of Janatha Garage kicked off.
Satellite To Decide Jakkanna Fate
Sunil starrer Jakkanna has collected a share around Rs 9.5 crores so far is expected to make around 10.5 to 11 Cr for full run. The film directed by Vamsi Krishna Akella was made of a budget of Rs 12 crores. The makers are in talks to close satellite business.
In fact, fate of Jakkanna depends on at what price the deal will be closed. Sunil has decent value when it comes to satellite rights. Usually, his films make business somewhere around Rs 2 to 3 crores. If Jakkanna makes 3 crores business, then producer Sudarshan Reddy will be very much safe.
The film Jakkanna was released in last week to mixed response. However, the film could survive due to funny one liners throughout and impressive promotions by the makers. Bhavani Prasad and Maharshi’s writing was biggest asset of the film.Jakkanna made decent business in Telugu states; nonetheless the movie has been turned out to be a flop maker for overseas distributors. While weak content was the prime reason, Pelli Choopulu’s domination in overseas was the other reason for the film bombing in the region.
Chaitu Cameo, Akhil Special Song For Cousin
Apparently, hero Nagarjuna has taken responsibility of his nephew Sushanth too. His elder son Naga Chaitanya appears in a cameo role and his younger son Akhil will be seen shaking his leg in a special song in Sushanth’s upcoming film Aatadukundam Raa being made under Annapurna Studios Banner.
After scoring back to back hits with Soggade Chinni Nayana and Oopiri, Nagarjuna announced to take care of his sons future ventures. Naga Chaitanya and Akhil’s next film scripts and directors are locked. In the meantime, Nag has also produced a film Aatadukundam Raa to provide break for his nephew Sushanth.Touted to be a hilarious entertainer Aatadukundam Raa has Sonam Bajwa playing female lead role. G Nageshwar Reddy, who is known for making comedy entertainers, has helmed the project, while Anup Rubens has scored music.
The film’s audio was launched yesterday grandly in Hyderabad amidst all the Akkineni family members. Nagarjuna couldn’t make it for the function since he was busy with other works.Let’s see how far Chaitu’s Cameo appearance and Akhil special song will help Aatadukundam.
Amala Files For Divorce
In a major disappointing development, the dusky Malayali beauty Amala Paul and her director husband AL Vijay have filed for divorce with mutual consent through their advocate Saib Jose Kidangoor at a principal family court in Chennai this morning.
This news comes just a couple of weeks after the reports of cracks in Amala and Vijay’s marriage emerged in the media. Amala Paul and Vijay fell in love on the sets of Deiva Thirumagal (Nanna) and tied the knot in 2014 in both Hindu and Christian traditions.
There were reports that Vijay’s parents and even Vijay opposed Amala’s decision to act in films even after marriage and that this eventually led to irreparable damage in the couple’s relationship.However, Vijay recently issued a press statement and said that their marriage is ending on a sad note due to breach of trust. Amidst gossips that Amala is seeing a Punjabi designer New Delhi, Vijay’s statement added fuel to the fire.
Nehru Gets Family Package From Naidu?
Latest reports says that, Senior most Congress leader Devineni Nehru from Krishna district is all set to join ruling TDP soon. His son and Andhra Pradesh youth congress leader Avinash will also switch loyalties to TDP.Speculations doing rounds for the last one year that Devineni will join TDP but it was not materialized as TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu did not accept the wishlist put before him by the Congress leader.
Fresh political news is that Nehru will be given a nominated post and his son will get a party post once they joined. Nehru will be given freedom to strengthen his group in the party.

Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dunkirk’ release date
The trailer of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie, “Dunkirk,” is out and it has taken the internet by storm, especially among devoted Nolan’s fans. The trailer is just one minute and 7 seconds long, but it hints at several elements that will be included in the film.Nolan is known for his distinctive style of film-making and has produced and directed several critically acclaimed movies. It is a military encampment area, probably where Germany has surrounded the Allied forces. A soldier can be seen, moving into the waters while unloading his gears.The scene cuts to a bridge where soldiers are waiting for someone or something. The tension and seriousness of the atmosphere can be felt while watching the trailer, as if something ominous is about to happen. Eventually, the distant noise of a fighter plane can be heard, which gradually increases and it seems the approaching plane is enemy’s as soldiers duck so that they are not spotted.
Just when the tension and excitement is at the brim, the trailer ends; again, an effect seen in most of Nolan’s film.
Though “Dunkirk” is based on real life events, given that it has been directed by Nolan, audiences can expect a unique and never-before-seen experience, just like it is with Nolan’s other works. Several rumours and speculations regarding the plot are already surfacing over the internet regarding the movie, some of which mentions that the story will incorporate elements from other WWII incidents too.
A Hit And A Flop Hero For Puri
Director Puri Jagannadh is an experienced campaigner who can deal star heroes as well as young heroes relevantly. The filmmakers who once made films with stars like Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, NTR is now doing a film titled Ism with medium range hero Kalyan Ram whose last movie Sher was a flop.
