AP Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has got an interesting reply from Prime minister Narendra Modi on special status to Andhra Pradesh during their meeting in New Delhi.

Naidu told his party MPs after meeting that Modi is very much interested to accept the long pending demand for special status to AP. But Modi is not ready to give it at the moment as many states have been demanding the same status and pending before the union government.

The TDP Chief said Modi was very much concerned about the injustice meted out to AP after the bifurcation of the state and assured to provide financial assistance fro the development of the state from time to timeIn the meeting, Naidu invited Modi to Krishna Pushkarams begins August 12 in his state. Naidu also met several union ministers and presented invitation letters to the pushkarams. –

After a whirlwind campaign for BJP and TDP during the 2014 elections and ensuring handsome victories to both the parties, film star and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has since then disappeared from active politics.Barring a couple of instances where he ‘raised his voice’ via a series of complicated tweets in the capital farmers, Kapu reservation and special status issues, there is hardly any significant role played by Pawan in either finding a solution to the problems faced by the state and its people.

People who voted for the TDP-BJP combine after Pawan’s assurances even put up banners and flexes across the state demanding that Pawan should come out and fight for their issues. But nothing could move Pawan even an inch and the reclusive star remained unavailable for the very people whom he vowed to fight for.

What angered people and even several supporters of Pawan and his Jana Sena party is Pawan’s unbearable silence over the special status issue and BJP’s betrayal to AP. People believe that special status will ensure AP’s development and with Pawan not in a mood to ‘question’ his good friend Modi about his backtracking, the very people who believed in Pawan stopped counting on him anymore.

Apart from the common people, even no opposition leaders took Pawan’s name over the special status issue. Realizing that he is being ignored by everyone, Pawan, who has already become a political buffoon with his maddening silence, is said to be in a deep state of political insecurity now. If this continues, it could prove detrimental to Pawan’s future political aspirations.

In a recent survey that was conducted by Association it’s Democratic Reforms (ADR) to trace out the assets and criminal cases of the legislators in the 29 states and Union Territories, Andhra Pradesh’s Minister of Municipal Administration P Narayana (Rs. 496 crores) has been declared the richest millionaire legislator in India.

Out of the 620 Indian legislators, the ADR conducted its survey on 609 legislators. While the average of Indian legislators’ assets is Rs. 8.59 crores, the AP ministers topped the average of assets with an aggregate of Rs. 45.49 crores. AP was followed by Karnataka and Arunachal Pradesh, while Tripura stood at the bottom with Rs. 31.67 lakhs.

Telangana ministers secured third position in the list of ministers with highest number of criminal cases. A total of 210 ministers have criminal cases pending on them with 210 ministers facing charges of murder and kidnap.With 18 of its ministers finding their names on the list, Maharashtra topped the ministers with criminal charges lost, while Bihar (11) occupied the second spot and Telangana (9) and Jharkhandh (9) stood in 3rd and 4th spots.
