The trailer of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie, “Dunkirk,” is out and it has taken the internet by storm, especially among devoted Nolan’s fans. The trailer is just one minute and 7 seconds long, but it hints at several elements that will be included in the film.Nolan is known for his distinctive style of film-making and has produced and directed several critically acclaimed movies. Some of the notable ones are “Inception,” “The Dark Knight” trilogy, “Interstellar,” “The Prestige,” “Following,” “Memento,” and “Insomnia.”
The latest project is being directed and written by Nolan and is based on the real life events of Dunkirk evacuation, in which Allied soldiers from the beaches and harbour of Dunkirk, France, were evacuated between May 26 and June 4, 1940 during World War II.Though the trailer is brief and provides only a glimpse into what the actual movie could be, it surely has that specific vibe for which Nolan’s movies are known for. What really enhances the overall setting of WWII is Hans Zimmer’s iconic background score.
The teaser starts at the sea shore, much like the beginning of “Inception.” Afterwards, some soldiers can be seen, standing at the beach amid a storm. It is a military encampment area, probably where Germany has surrounded the Allied forces. A soldier can be seen, moving into the waters while unloading his gears. The scene cuts to a bridge where soldiers are waiting for someone or something. The tension and seriousness of the atmosphere can be felt while watching the trailer, as if something ominous is about to happen. Eventually, the distant noise of a fighter plane can be heard, which gradually increases and it seems the approaching plane is enemy’s as soldiers duck so that they are not spotted.
Just when the tension and excitement is at the brim, the trailer ends; again, an effect seen in most of Nolan’s film.
Though “Dunkirk” is based on real life events, given that it has been directed by Nolan, audiences can expect a unique and never-before-seen experience, just like it is with Nolan’s other works. Several rumours and speculations regarding the plot are already surfacing over the internet regarding the movie, some of which mentions that the story will incorporate elements from other WWII incidents too.

Director Chandrasekhar Yeleti likes to experiment with different genres and scripts. He mostly did thrillers and action adventures in the past. Perhaps he won appreciation for every film, but none were commercial hits, except for Aithe. Yeleti’s latest film Manamantha hit the screens yesterday amidst low expectations which become affirmative.
Manamantha is a result of perfect planning and team effort. Lives and mind set of typical middle class people are shown efficiently. Yeleti described how different persons of different age groups react to odd situations in their life.Mohanlal shines as sales manager at a super market. Gautami did full justice to her role. Most of her gestures reminded of a typical wife, who takes best care of family with limited resources. ‘Superb’ is one word that will describe her astounding performance.
Viswant Duddumpudi of Kerintha fame was good. But, Raina Rao steals the show with outstanding and emotional performance. The way Yeleti connected four characters in the end makes us moving. Audience will definitely come out of theaters with teary eyes. The care with which the script is done, the grace with which the direction part is executed and the characterization and performance makes Manamantha worth real appreciation.

Anushka Shetty’s first look from Om Namo Venkatesaya is out. The devotional film features Akkineni Nagarjuna as the lead protagonist. Nag will be seen essaying the role of Baba Hathiram, the 18th century aficionado of Lord Venkateshwara. Anushka too will be seen as an ardent devotee of the Lord Balaji. It’s learnt that Anushka’s role has significance and takes the story forward. The Rudhramadevi actress has already started shooting for her part and this could be her most de-glam role she’s playing on screen. Stylists have been roped on to style Anushka in very simple, traditional look.
It’s common knowledge by now that ace director K Raghavendra Rao who had directed Nag’s three previous devotional films – Annamayya, Sri Ramadasu and Shirdi Sai – is directing the film that seeks to recreate the life and times of Baba Hathiram. The movie, set in 18th Century, also chronicles the history of Tirumala. The movie is tentatively titled as Om Namo Venkatesa. The film’s principal shoot will begin in July.
Pragya Jaiswal, of Kanche fame, is also seen in a special role. After hits like Soggade, Oopiri, Nagarjuna is back with a devotion film.
