Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s next under the direction of Puri Jagannadh had its First Look Poster a short while ago on the occasion of Kalyan Ram’s Birthday tomorrow. The movie is titled ‘Ism’ (Ism as in Journalism), in which the actor plays a journalist. The first look poster showcases Kalyan Ram in Brand New Look and earned instant impression from all quarters.

The movie shooting is progressing at brisk pace. Miss India 2015 Aditi Arya is playing the female lead in the film and it marks her filmy debut. She already joined the team. The movie is said to be a mass entertainment with a social message. Puri himself penned the story, screenplay and dialogues for the film.

Kalyan Ram himself will be producing the film on his own banner, NTR Arts banner. The actor is reportedly dolling out a whopping 30 Crore for the film, which is the highest budget for any film of him. Nandamuri fans have pinned high hopes on Kalyan Ram’s Ism. This is the first time, Kalyan Ram is working with a star director.

Thikka is being directed by Om 3D fame Sunil Reddy and it also comes with a caption ‘Handle with Care’.

It is interesting to note that Sai Dharam Tej has given a chance to Sunil Reddy despite a disastrous debut directorial, Om 3D. Mumaith Khan will be seen in an important role in the movie. Foreign Model, Larissa Bonesi is playing the female lead in this film. Mannara Chopra is the other heroine. Thaman is composing music for the film.

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Prestigious 150th film, Gautamiputra Satakarani has three songs ready. Devi Sri Prasad finished the recording of the three songs in the film. The musician had taken utmost care on the film songs as the movie is the first historical film in Devi Sri Prasad’s career.

Gautamiputra Satakarani began the Georgia schedule from today. A massive war sequence which comes in climax of the film is being canned in this schedule where Satavahana soldiers will fight with Greeks. These hefty battle episodes are to be canned in scenic locations of Mount Kazbeg in Georgia, very close to Russia border. 1000 soldiers, 300 horses and 20 chariots are being used for this shoot.

This is the second foreign schedule of the film after its first schedule in Morocco. The makers are shooting non-stop for the film so as to make sure the movie releases on January 12th, 2017 release as Sankranthi Special. The recently released first look poster of the film is greeted to good response and increased hype on the film.

The other day, there are rumours all over the media, that Powerstar Pawan Kalyan had decided to shelve his proposed project under the direction of Gopala Gopala fame Dolly and will move on to do a film with Trivikram Srinivas. The makers have also maintained silent about this development.

However a source close to the actor tell us that the news is false and the project is still on. “The project is on. It will go on floors this month end. Trivikram Project will begin as usually in December as planned earlier. It is not easy for a director to adapt a script left behind by another director so the project is taking time to materialize,” the source said.

Sources also say that the makers have brought in Bhoopathi Raja, the original writer of Veeram on board to prepare the script. The teamm will finalize the script in a week or two. They say the movie will go on floors by the end of this month and will be targeting Sankranthi-2017 release.

The 6th South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA 2016) were held in a grand style in Singapore a few days ago. Stars from all the four film industries attended the awards ceremony and made the 2-day event a huge success.However, Tollywood’s Superstar Mahesh Babu disappointed his fans by not making it to the awards function, where he was adjudged Best Actor for his performance in Srimanthudu. This was Mahesh’s this SIIMA award after Dookudu and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu.

While fans were upset with Mahesh missing all the action at SIIMA, the Superstar made things even more mysterious with his stoic silence. Finally this morning, Mahesh broke his silence and thanked SIIMA with a tweet saying, “Received my “Best Actor” Trophy for Srimanthudu! Thank You @siima”.

SIIMA organizers sent a personal invite Mahesh Babu to grace the awards ceremony. However, the reason why Mahesh gave SIIMA a miss was that he got completely busy with the pre-production work of Murugadoss’ project, which will begin towards the end of this month. Mahesh is working on his new look for the film and perhaps he wants to keep it as a surprise until the film’s release.
