Usually, film makers follow a pattern in promoting their films. First they release the first look followed by a teaser. Then, they release the trailer followed by audio launch. But, ‘Kabali’ audio came out in the market but the trailer is not getting released. Insiders explain that Rajni is the reason behind this. As he is in America from the past two months, dubbing work is getting delayed.

Till date, a teaser and a song teaser were released and they received thumping reponse from audience shattering all records. It is sure that ‘Kabali’ trailer too breaks several records if released. So, we need to wait and see whether trailer will be unveiled or not.

After being seen as a bike-riding assassin in the music videos for “Needed Me” and as a dancing vixen in “Work,” RnB singer Rihanna has now donned the avatar of a beautiful alien in the music video for “Sledgehammer.” It is a piano-based ballad-like song from the soundtrack of the upcoming film “Star Trek Beyond” and it has been written by Australian singer Sia.

Directed by well-known music video director Floria Sigismondi, the video sees Rihanna with a tattooed face and shaved eyebrows as she sports an alien-like outfit while standing on a desert of a distant planet and singing the song. As the clip progresses, Rihanna slowly starts moving towards the sky and into space before multiplying herself and eventually becoming one with the universe.

The singer recently said in a video on Facebook that she has been a “Star Trek” fan since childhood and that she is emotionally connected to epic characters from the movie like Captain Kirk and Commander Spock. “My dad really is the one who introduced me to Star Trek, it just took me one episode to fall in love with this other world I couldn’t understand but I felt I could relate to,” she said.

The video, with its trippy visual effects, looks like a space adventure of sorts. It is quite a befitting preview to the epic space adventure of the latest film of the “Star Trek” franchise. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Sigismondi explained that he wanted to create unique visuals for the video while incorporating elements from the actually movie. “We wanted to use some of the elements from the film. I watched the film and gravitated towards some, like the floating rocks. I thought that could help elevate my world and make it otherworldly. We used the broken moon, we used the swarm ships, and we used [Starbase] Yorktown—that’s the big floating thing that looks like a planet but is actually a base where people live,” he explained.

Andhra Pradesh CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu is buoyed by the deals he signed with several Chinese companies to the tune of nearly 55,000 crores during his just concluded China trip. However, the CM had to feel the disappointment in his home turf.

Babu flew down to New Delhi directly from China and met with the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely regarding the centre’s promise to allot funds for Amaravati construction. But, Arun Jaitely reportedly told Babu that the Modi government can only afford to give 2,500 crores. This left Chandrababu disappointed and speaking to the media in Vijayawada, the CM said that so far the centre has given 1,500 crores for the capital construction and that Arun Jaitely has told him that the centre can only give another 1,000 crores more.

Babu said that he can’t even lay high-tension underground electric cables in the capital area with the funds sanctioned by the centre. A deeply dejected Babu said that he will pressurise the centre in all the ways possible and convince it in understanding the financial plight of the state. Babu further expressed confidence that AP and its people will build the capital on its own.

Already, Andhra Pradesh’s CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu is neck deep into water wars with his arch rival and Telangana CM KCR over the allocation of the waters and construction of various projects on the Godavari and Krishna rivers. Now, Chandrababu has found himself into yet another water war with his Tamil Nadu counterpart J Jayalalithaa. Recently, Jayalalithaa wrote a strongly worded to Chandrababu expressing severe concerns over Babu’s decision to increase the height of the check dam across Palar river at Perumballam village in Chithoor District near the Andhra-Tamil Nadu border.

The Tamil Nadu CM came down heavily at Babu and the Andhra Pradesh irrigation department for causing widespread panic in Tamil Nadu and warned of a strong protest against the Babu government. In her letter, Jayaa said that Palar is a River which is already deficient in water supply. This river supports an ayacut of about 4.20 lakh acres in Tamil Nadu. Farmers in the Northern Districts of Tamil Nadu are solely dependent upon this River for irrigation and for drinking water supply to several towns and villages in the Northern Districts of Tamil Nadu.

Jaya further pointed out that on February 10, 2006, the Government of Tamil Nadu filed a suit in the Supreme Court seeking to prevent the AP government from constructing any structure across the Palar River in violation of the Madras-Mysore Agreement, 1892.Jayaa has also requested Chandrababu to personally intervene in the matter and pass the instructions to the irrigation officials to take quick and appropriate steps to bring the level of the check dam back to its original level.

Cricket In Olympics for 2024?

Cricket in unarguably the most popular game in India and it is reasonable for any other sports professional complaining about their less popularity just due to cricket in India. But needless to mention, Cricket is not that popular internationally because superior countries like America, China, Japan and Europe are still away from this game.

According to the latest statement released by Italy board of Olympics, India can gain a better prominence as the former decided to add cricket in Olympics in 2024 if they win the bid for it.

There was this proposal since sometime to make T20 format cricket as a part of Olympics. But this time with Italy Olympic board statements, chances are high that Cricket can be added to Olympics in 2024. If that happens, India gets a fairer chance to shine country’s pride in Olympics too.

Verbal war between TRS and opposition party leaders reached a crescendo. Telangana Panchayat Raj minister J Krishna Rao called the TDP working President A Revanth Reddy a big fool for opposing the Palamuru – Ranga Reddy lift irrigation project taken up in their native Mahbubnagar district.

The minister wondered why TDP was opposing the project which has been conceived by TDP government in the united Andhra Pradesh. Revanth is mudslinging against TRS government only to get media attention.

He also took strong exception to the allegations made by congress senior leader DK Aruna and BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy that thousands of crores of rupees siphoned off by ruling party leaders in awarding contract works to the agencies. The two leaders also behaving like fools, Krishna Rao added.

Bangladesh’s worst hostage crisis ended on Saturday when heavily-armed commandos stormed a popular eatery in Dhaka in the diplomatic enclave and killed militants who had been holding many people, including foreigners, captive for over 12 hours.Gunshots and sounds of explosion rocked the area at 7.40 a.m. local time as security forces launched an offensive to end the siege at the Holey Artisan Bakery in Dhaka’s Gulshan diplomatic zone.Tuhin Mohammad Masud, a commander of the elite Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) which stormed the cafe, said there had been a number of casualties, including six hostage-takers.

“We have gunned down six of the terrorists,” Mr. Masud told reporters.A total of 18 people were rescued from the restaurant, a senior police official said.Among the rescued are Indian, Sri Lankan and Japanese nationals. Some of them are injured, said Mohammad Jashim, a deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. An RAB official said at least five bodies were recovered during the raid, but did not confirm whether they were of hostages orgunmen. The hostage crisis followed a Friday night gun-battle with police that left at least two senior officers dead and 40 people injured.

Fire-fighters rushed to the scene after the raid this morning with extinguishers, probably to put out flames from explosions. A medical team also rushed to the scene with stretchers.According to unconfirmed reports, at least one foreigner has been shot during the raid inside the cafe.Army men in armoured personnel carriers (APCs) had moved in with commandos. Over 1,000 rounds of gunshots were fired and almost 100 blasts were heard in the first half an hour of the raid, media reports said.Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the attack through its Amaq news agency, nearly four hours after the hostage crisis unfolded, according to the U.S.-based SITE Intelligence group, which monitors jihadist activity online.

It later issued a number of photographs of what it said were scenes from inside the restaurant. The pictures showed what appeared to be a number of bodies lying in pools of blood.Amaq also claimed that 20 people had been killed in the attack.Heavy firing and explosions continued at least for an hour after the operation began. A resident of a building, just 50 yards from the scene, reported spotting snipers firing from their guns.Shots were also fired from armoured personnel carriers (APCs). Grenades were also apparently exploded. Later, the APCs broke through the walls and entered the restaurant premises.

After hours of quiet at the Holey Artisan Bakery where terrorists were holding hostages, a fresh round of heavy gunfire rang out in the morning. On Friday night, terrorists shouting “Allahu Akbar” barged into the Holey Artisan Bakery, frequented by diplomats and expatriates, and opened indiscriminate fire at around 9.20 p.m., local time. The military-led rescue operation today was launched jointly by a navy commando squad, paramilitary BGB, elite anti-crime RAB along with special police units.According to CNN, senior U.S. officials believe that the attack has been probably carried out by al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent, which was declared as a terrorist organisation by the U.S. only a day earlier.

According to a local news channel, one of the persons being held captive, messaged his relative that the terrorists are using them as human shields.A hostage was also seen tied up in a chair on the balcony of the restaurant. The deceased policemen have been identified as officer in-charge of nearby Banani police station, Salahuddin Ahmed and Additional Commissioner of Police Rabiul, identified only by his first name.An Argentine national and a local escaped after taking refuge in a nearby house when the gunmen entered the restaurant.Police said they have detained two employees of the eatery for questioning.

A kitchen staff of the restaurant, who managed to escape, said several armed men entered the restaurant and took the chief chef hostage. “They set off several crude bombs triggering panic,” he added. The Muslim-majority Bangladesh has witnessed a wave of deadly attacks on religious minorities and secular bloggers by suspected Islamist militants.A 48-year-old Hindu priest was on Saturday stabbed and critically injured by unidentified assailants in Bangladesh’s Satkhira district.Earlier on Friday, a Hindu priest and a Buddhist leader were brutally hacked to death by machete-wielding Islamic State militants while another Hindu man survived a bid on his life.
