Energetic Hero Ram’s next under the direction of his Kandireega director, Santosh Srinivas is progressing at brisk pace. The team is right now canning the crucial interval sequence of the film at Vishakapatnam Harbour. The shooting in the coastal city will go on till 30th of this month and then the team will shift to Hyderabad.

The actor will be romancing his Shiva co-star, Raashi Khanna once again in this film. The director with his first movie, Kandireega delivered a blockbuster to Ram but then bagged a big disaster with his second film, Rabhasa starring NTR. The makers are planning to release it for Dussehra. That will mean that the film will clash with Ram Charan’s Dhruva at the box office.

Venkat Boyanapalli presents this movie produced by Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara on their 14 Reels Entertainment banner. Ghibran has been roped in to compose music for the film which has Art by Avinash and Story-Screenplay by the director himself. More details of the project later.

Ram Charan recently turned producer to produce his father Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 150th film “Kaththilantodu”, but he will not be involving in the day to day production activities. Chiranjeevi has begun regular shoot today. When his father is returning to the sets, Ram Charan is in Kashmir shooting for his movie “Dhruva”. Generally a producer will be on the sets but Ram Charan will be continuing as his job of hero and left all the production work to executive producers.

Charan wanted to work for this film for two or three months and oversee everything personally but his dad is said to have scolded him on his decision.“There are many people in our camp who can do the production, why waste time on it and do your movie,” he reportedly told his son, when Charan came up with the idea of personally involving in production job.

So, both dad and son are now shooting for their respective films in two different cities at the same time. Since Charan entered into movie industry as hero, this is the first time that Chiranjeevi putting makeup as hero.

If the speculations doing rounds in political and media circles of Vijayawada, three more MLAs belonging to YSR Congress party might shift their loyalties to the ruling Telugu Desam Party soon.According to these reports, the three MLAs, all from Krishna district – Kokkiligadda Rakshna Nidhi from Tiruvuru, Meka Pratap Appa Rao from Nuziveed and Uppuleti Kalpana from Pamarru – had agreed to join the TDP, thanks to hectic lobbying by Krishna district party unit.

They are waiting for the appointment of TDP president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for appropriate time to don the yellow colour. The YSR Congress party had won five MLA seats in Krishna district in 2014 elections. Of them, Jaleel Khan from Vijayawada East had alrady joined the TDP.

If these three MLAs join the ruling party, the YSRC will be left with only one MLA – Kodali Nani from Gudivada in the entire district. It will definitely be a big blow to Jagan, say analysts.

Mudragada Fast: Who Lost, Who Gained?

Share

MUDRA

The 14-day fast taken up by Kapu strongman and former minister Mudragada Padmanabham has brought to an end a big political turmoil in Andhra Pradesh. Now, political pundits are busy analysing as to who had lost and who had gained politically in this entire episode. For Mudragada, his fast has brought both positive and negative publicity. Coming to positives, he has once again proved that he is the lone fighter for Kapus and that he would go to any extent to get justice to his community. The government was forced to release the arrested youth who were involved in Tuni violence, only because of Mudragada’s agitation. However, on the flip side, Mudragada’s fast has evoked little response from the common man, only because he has been choosing fast as a weapon every time.

Everybody knows he will not die and his fast is only to blackmail the government.YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is the biggest gainer in the episode. He has supported Mudragada agitation though to settle scores with chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Since he was the only person who could openly support the cause, he has gained considerable sympathy among Kapus. This will definitely fetch him mileage in the next elections.

As far as Naidu is concerned, the Mudragada agitation has dented his image to some extent, though he also earned brownie points for acting tough in the episode. While he tried to woo the Kapu community with a series of sops, he had to act tough with the agitators who resorted to violence. However, he has certainly lost a sizeable chunk of Kapu vote bank. The provocative statements of his Kapu ministers damaged his reputation to some extent.

The jokers in the game are Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan. Though Chiranjeevi tried to exploit the situation by issuing statements against Naidu government and visiting Mudragada, he could not get any acknowledgement from public. On the other hand, Pawan remained completely silent on the issue, fearing that it would harm his acceptability among other communities, if he takes up Kapu cause.

The Best Statement Of His Life

lokesh

There is a serious competition among two politicians of Andhra Pradesh for the tag of ‘Rahul Gandhi’ of AP.The two contenders are Nara Lokesh, who was allegedly educated by Satyam Ramalinga Raju and thrice-married Pawan Kalyan.Neither of them has come across as a sensible politician and had they been in national politics, they would have given Rahul Gandhi, a serious run for his money.

Anyway, locked in a dead heat for the tag of ‘Rahul Gandhi of AP’, Nara Lokesh made the most brilliant statement of his career.“International Yoga Day made the world realize the significance of healthy living through Yoga,” said Nara Lokesh.

This is a sensible statement and therefore since Pawan Kalyan hasn’t said anything on similar lines to date, the tag of ‘Rahul Gandhi of AP’ should go to Pawan Kalyan. Since the award will be presented after 2019 polls, the race is still open.

The war of words between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh has intensified over water sharing between the two states as the two governments are reluctant to go back on their stand at a meeting in New Delhi.Telangana Irrigation Minister Harish Rao said the Krishna River Management Board had no right to allocate water and management of projects until the tribunal finalised the quota.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma Maheshwara Rao maintained that the two states should abide by the decisions taken by river board as per the AP Reorganisation act.

After the meeting with centre, the two ministers held press meets and took strong exception to the stand taken by each other on Krishna and Godavari water sharing.

North Korea’s Kim Jong-Un says new missile can strike US bases in Pacific

Share

korea

North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un hailed the successful test of a powerful new medium-range missile as a direct threat to U.S. military bases across the Pacific, as the U.N. Security Council met late Wednesday to consider its response.Mr. Kim, who personally monitored Wednesday’s Musudan missile test, applauded a “great event” that significantly bolstered the North’s pre-emptive nuclear attack capability, the official KCNA news agency reported.“We have the sure capability to attack in an overall and practical way the Americans in the Pacific operation theatre,” Mr. Kim was quoted as saying.

The Musudan has a theoretical range of anywhere between 2,500 and 4,000 km, with the upper estimate covering U.S. military bases as far away as Guam. After a string of failures in recent months, North Korea tested two Musudans on Wednesday, one of which flew 400 km into the Sea of Japan (East Sea).KCNA said the missile had been fired at a high angle to simulate its full range, and had reached a maximum height of more than 1,400 km.The success of the test “marked an important occasion in further strengthening the nuclear attack capacity of our state,” Mr. Kim said.

UNSC meets

The launch was condemned by the international community and the U.N. Security Council met for closed-door consultations on how best to respond.France’s deputy U.N. ambassador Alexis Lamek, whose country holds the council presidency, told reporters after the meeting that Council members had been united in “deep concern and opposition” to the test which was a clear violation of U.N. resolutions.Existing U.N. measures prohibit North Korea from using ballistic missile technology. The United States, NATO and Japan also denounced the test, with South Korea vowing to push for tighter sanctions on Pyongyang.

Experts warned that Wednesday’s success marked a significant step forward for a weapons programme that ultimately aspires to develop an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) capable of delivering a nuclear strike on the U.S. mainland. The North has displayed an ICBM, called the KN-08, which uses the same engine technology as the Musudan but has never been test-fired.

ICBM test next?

Jeffrey Lewis, director of the East Asia Non-proliferation Program at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in California, said the international community had to find a way to get Pyongyang to accept a missile test moratorium.“If we do nothing, this ends in a successful flight test of the Musudan-based KN-08,” Mr. Lewis said. The front and inside pages of Thursday’s edition of North Korea’s ruling party newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, were plastered with pictures of a clearly elated Kim Jong-Un watching the test and celebrating with military scientists.

There were also multiple photos of the missile blasting off from a mobile launcher near the eastern port of Wonsan. The international outcry suggests North Korea could face renewed sanctions, either on a unilateral level or from the United Nations. After Pyongyang conducted a fourth nuclear test on January 6, 2016, followed by a long-range rocket launch February 7, the Security Council adopted its most punishing sanctions yet against North Korea.Any further measures would require the support of veto-wielding permanent council member China, traditionally the North’s closest ally.

Responding to Wednesday’s launch, China’s Foreign Ministry had cautioned against “any action that may escalate tension” and called for a resumed dialogue on Pyongyang’s nuclear drive.U.S. Defence Secretary Ashton Carter, meanwhile, stressed the importance of strengthening U.S. missile defence systems, including those deployed among regional allies South Korea and Japan — a strategy strongly opposed by China.“We need to stay ahead of the threat by making sure that our missile defenses are good qualitatively, but also constantly expanding,” Mr. Carter said.
