Demanding a white paper on the MoUs signed by the TDP government with foreign companies in the capital area region, YSR Congress has said that the State should categorically tell where the commercial space would be given to the farmers who gave up their land.
“What is happening in the capital areas region is not known to the outside world and the three Singapore companies have joined CRDA to form a consortium which was given 1,700 acres of land for development, details of which are not known. We demand that the state publish a white paper on the issue and also specify as to where the farmers would be getting the commercial space in lieu of the land they had given up,” party MLA A Rama Krishna Reddy told reporters here on Wednesday.
There are reports that the foreign companies had bought the land at Rs 4 crores per acre and the entire deal and how the capital area work is progressing should be put on public domain by publishing a white paper, he said.
There are fears that the foreign companies were given the right to sell the land which makes it a commercial proposition and in any venture the natives should have an upper hand but here the foreign companies are holding 52% stake while CRDA has only 48% which makes the deal murkier, he said adding that the option of selling 32% of the stock is given to the Singapore companies.
Kapu patriarch and former MP Mudragada Padmanabham called off his indefinite fast after his wife gave him lime juice at his residence in Kirlampudi village in the presence of hundreds of supporters and Kapu activists just a while ago.Calling off the fast, Mudragada spoke to the media and accused Andhra Pradesh CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu saying that the TDP chief is acting vindictively against the Kapu community and that Babu failed to keep the promises he made to the Kapu community.
Mudragada also alleged that the police foiled his fast by forcibly shifting him and his family members to hospital and keeping them under confinement for 14 days. He then vowed to intensify his fight for Kapu reservation in the coming future.Meanwhile, political circles have been abuzz with discussions that Mudragada rose to prominence in the Kapu agitation like a hero, but lost his reputation after ending three indefinite fasts without any resolution.
Many are even alleging lack of sincerity in Mudragada’s protest as he continued his fast through fluids at the hospital. With the Babu government not budging on the release of the accused in Tuni violence, Mudragada lost a moral battle and his credibility is in question.
The Nara Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP is relentlessly haunting the tainted opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who is buried in neck deep charges of corruption, which were levied by the CBI. Babu government has already got the President’s nod to fast track the CBI enquiry on Jagan.
Now, the AP government is planning its moves to attach disproportionate assets amassed by Jagan exploiting his father’s influence and power by bringing a special ordinance. In the process, the Babu government has kept a strict vigil on Jagan’s illegal assets on foreign shores and has already initiated talks with foreign authorities. In its preliminary enquiry, the AP government found out that many NRIs have close ties with Jagan’s assets in several countries. A special team has been sent to Australia to investigate about Jagan’s shady assets.
Seems like Chandrababu has devised a master strategy to weaken Jagan and his party leaders who have been alleging huge corruption and discrepancies during the land acceptation in Amaravati.Several YSRCP leaders have been alleging that Babu and his partymen purchased many acres of land in the capital region. Adding to this, the YSRCP has also been alleging that Babu has businesses and star hotels in Singapore.
