Rana Daggubati is one of the most eligible bachelors in Tollywood. The actor’s alleged affair with Trisha hogged headline some time ago but the rumours did not survive as Trisha got engaged to another man. Later there were rumours about several link-ups of Rana with Kajal Agarwal, Shriya and Tapsee.
However Rana says all this are rubbish and his Casanova image is just a false creation. The actor went on to add, he is single right now. But the lanky actor did not hesitate to confess that he has had many relationships and they didn’t work out to take them to its logical conclusion.
The Baahubali baddie however claims that he is still touch with all his Exs and is friend with them. “We should never lose contact with anyone, lovers should move on when things do not work out,” Rana said. The actor is currently working on Baahubali – The Conclusion and bilingual film, Ghazi.
Nithin on the verge of joining coveted club
Nithin, Samantha and Trivikram Srinivas’ A..Aa has collected about 44.38 Crore Share in its full run at the box office in the two weeks run so far. The movie is inching towards the Prestigious 50 Crore Share club which is a very big achievement given there is no big stars presence in the film.
The buyers of all areas are in profits zone by the end of first week itself. Buyers in few areas like Nizam have already got 100% profits for their investment. A..Aa is the biggest hit of the Summer in terms of return on investment. Given that there are no notable releases till next month, 50 Crore Share may not be difficult.
According to the trade experts, the movie should find a place in the 50 crore club by some time in its third week. Nani’s Gentleman which released on Friday is doing well at the box office, but is not posing threat for A..Aa whatsoever as family audience are lapping up the film big time, thanks to Trivikram’s Brand Value.
KCR destroying greenery in Hyderabad!
Coming down heavily on TRS government for its policies, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that unscientific approach of the government would severely harm the green cover in city leading to environmental disaster.
He said that state government’s stance over developing the Strategic Raod Development Program (SRDP) would spell a doom for the park. During a power point presentation on SRDP by the Congress leader Marri Shashidhar Reddy at Gandhi Bhawan, Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that TRS government was destroying KBR and other parks in the name of development.
He reiterated that Congress party would not be a mute spectator to the destructive policies of the government.
He said, “Developmental activities must be carried out keeping the public interests in view but TRS has been eyeing only political and financial gains”, said Uttam.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said that state government has been centralizing the resources promising to build Skyways and twin towers and this would lead to severe repercussions on the environment of city in future.
He said that projects like SRDP and others would also lead to traffic issues in the future. He flayed the state government for causing unnecessary delays to the Metro Rail Project by stopping the project in the middle.
Hyderabad: More NRI Brides File Dowry Cases
Hyderabad: More cases of dowry harassment involving NRI brides are being reported of late. Police attributes this to the lack of proper background check of grooms, and brides being unable to adjust with the cultural differences after after marriage.
According to the police, out of around 100 NRI marriages every year, at least 10 per cent are troubled. The CID issues look-out circulars against persons who are accused in dowry harassment cases, which enables them to nab the accused when he lands at any international airport.
As many as 27 LOCs were issued in Telangana till April this year. Officials from the Crime Investigation Department, who investigate NRI-related dowry harassment cases, say that in addition to demanding extra dowry, there are many others reasons leading to harassment. In most of the cases, lack of adjustment to the local situation and lack of family support act as triggers.
Parents of Indian brides accept NRI grooms without background checks on his education, job and other issues.
“Many such grooms after marriage are found to be either jobless or have exaggerated facts to the bride’s family. A few people who are already married abroad marry a second time and take the girl to do household chores,” said and official from the CID.
For many parents, their son being abroad is an additional reason to demand more dowry. The education of the girl, caste and employment status also affect the amount of dowry demanded.
“Parents look at dowry as an option to recover the money they have spent on their son’s education abroad. In the recent past, harassment cases have involved grooms who are highly educated,” he said.
Police says parents should not believe blindly in what the man or his family says, and should do a background check before accepting the proposal. Girls marrying NRI men also should be aware of the cultural and social differences between India and overseas, they said.
He said NRI men also face harassment when their wives fail to adapt to foreign lands and threaten them with police cases.
A Web-Series Inspired By A Fraudulent Experience
Following the super success of Muddapappu Avakai, the first ever Telugu web series featuring mega-heroine Neeharika, yet another T-town personality is trying his luck by attempting something similar.
Anand Ranga, director of the critically-acclaimed Siddharth-starrer Oy has uploaded the first episode of his 6-part series titled what if Superman lived in Hyderabad.
Speaking about the project, Anand says, “It’s basically a fun film centred on Superman being a Telugu guy living in Hyderabad and the kinds of nativity issues he faces. The first season will be of six episodes and we will develop it further.”
Ironically, the inspiration for the humour-series stemmed from a bitter experience Anand had at the hands of a Mumbai-based web channel.
“A con man named Bhara approached me from a web channel based in Mumbai, ‘con’ machine. Later I came to know that he was the most unfit guy available as he was kicked out of Radio Mirchi & Sun TV. I felt it was a new experience and worked on many scripts for them. They took all that and did not pay me anything. Then I felt I should not depend on them and do something on my own and so scripted, produced and directed this web series ‘What if Superman lived in Hyderabad?’ I uploaded it on my web channel Thokkalo Thoughts which is part of my production house Random Thoughts.”
But isn’t working on a web series, a sort of a climb down for a T-town director? Anand doesn’t think so!
“My ultimate passion is to direct films. Irrespective of the format, I see this as no less than a feature film. It is always fun to direct films irrespective of the duration. It gives me a high. I will direct a few pilot episodes and my team will take over from there. It is exciting because there is no restriction on content; there are no distribution or exhibition hassles involved and the ‘connect ‘is directly with the audience. Ultimately, it can turn out to be a pretty good self-sustaining model for all kinds of filmmakers,” said Anand.

Star’s Ex-Wife Booked by Goa police
Entrepreneur and designer Sussanne Khan, ex-wife of Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan, has been booked by Panaji police in an alleged Rs 1.87 crore cheating case.
Real estate firm Emgee Properties is the complainant which has accused Khan of falsely projecting herself as an architect to secure a contract with the company .
Managing partner of Emgee Properties, Mudhit Gupta, in his complaint to the police, said Khan had represented herself as an architect and designer by profession. In September 2013, the company executed a written contract with her “for architectural and designing services“.
The project concerned is Emgee Properties’ Naira Complex being constructed at Siridao in Tiswadi, North Goa. The complainant alleged that Khan failed to deliver the project within the period stipulated in the contract.
Advocate Arun Bras de Sa, representing Emgee Properties, said that as police were reluctant to file an FIR, they approached the court seeking a direction to police. But, before the court could issue directions, the police filed the FIR.
In his complaint, Gupta alleged that relying on the representation made by Khan in the contract, the company had disbursed Rs 1.87 crore to her.
The complaint stated that when it was found that her work was not up to the expected standards of a professional architect, the company suspected that Khan was not in fact an architect as she had claimed.
Nani To Focus On Entertaining Movies
Nani received unanimous praise for his performance in ‘Gentleman’ that is playing in theaters all over the world. Currently it is drawing good collections.
Though the collections are good, it will not raise his bar as star. Since it is in thriller genre, the movie’s potential at box-office has its limitations. So to deliver another big hit, he needs to come up with entertainers.
He has already putting this into action as his next two films are entertaining movies. The one he is doing right now is a love story set in the back drop of movies which is directed by Virinchi Varma of “Uyyala Jampala”.
Like “Bhale Bhale Magadivoy”, Nani’s biggest hit to date, this film is being made with comedy plus love drama. So he is hoping that the film would again make him the darling of USA audiences.
Soon after this, Nani will be working with a director who is known to be making mass-oriented entertainers. Trinadha Rao who made highly entertaining comedy “Cinema Choopista Mama” is set to make a movie with Nani from October. This will be enjoyed by all mass audiences.
Nani has clear cut plan for his stardom.
Nobody Cares Ileana Now!
Lanky Goan beauty Ileana is desperate to return to Tollywood, which had given her name and fame in the past.
She went to Bollywood to make it big, but at any stage, she could not get the kind of stardom which had got in Tollywood. Though she got one or two offers in Bollywood, they could not enhance her range.
So, that is why Ileana is trying to stage a comeback to Tollywood. But, the problem with her is that she has a lot of ego and hence, she is not able to contact any director or producer on her own.
Apparently, she is of the view that they might look down upon her, since she had deserted Tollywood at a time when she was being paid hefty remuneration of over Rs 1 crore. Though she is trying to take the help of her friends to approach film makers, they are not coming to her rescue at all.
Having no other option, Ileana has conveyed her intention to return to Tollywood through media. She hopes that at least after seeing media reports, producers would give her chances. Even if she gets the opportunity, it is doubtful whether she would regain her past glory.
SJ Surya Opts For Mahesh Over Pawan
Here is the latest update about upcoming Pawan Kalyan’s film that was supposed to be directed by SJ Surya. As per official press release from the production house, Surya has been replaced by Gopala Gopala fame Dolly for Pawan’s next film.
Surya who has proved his mettle as an actor with Tamil film Iraivi has been getting lot of offers as an actor from Tamil and Telugu film industries. He is going to play the antagonist in Mahesh Babu’s next directed by Murugadoss.
Surya has to give bulk dates for this film which will start rolling from July. Surya was supposed to direct Pawan Kalyan’s film at the same time.
So when Surya told about his busy schedules to Pawan Kalyan, the latter asked him to carry on with his other commitments. So Dolly who did Gopala Gopala with Pawan will wield the megaphone for this faction love story.
Pawan has promised to do another film with Dolly during Gopala Gopala and he made use of this opportunity to keep that promise.
Mahesh Is Back, Thanks To Filmfare
Mahesh Babu has completely gone missing after Brahmotsavam failure. His last tweet was posted on May 19, a day before the release of Brahmotsavam. The film was a colossal flop and even Mahesh looked out of place and confused in it.
With nothing worthy to mention about the film, Mahesh stopped tweeting and went for a vacation with his family. Mahesh Babu didn’t even attend the Filmfare awards ceremony that was conducted last evening.
Mahesh won the best actor award for Srimanthudu, but he was not present at the event to receive the award.
Mahesh thanked Filmfare for the award and also thanked his fans for making this possible. It took exactly one month for Mahesh to come back on Twitter.
Thanks to Filmfare, if not for the award, he would have been missing for few more days. His next film with Murugadoss is all set to start rolling from July.
Mahesh fans are hoping that the superstar would bounce back with this film to reclaim his position.
