The romantic thriller film written and directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti and produced by Sivalanka Krishna Prasad is getting ready to hit the big screens on June 17th.Soon after the release of this movie, Nani will join hands with Cinema Chupistha Mava fame director Trinadha Rao Nakkina for a new film to be produced by ace producer Dil Raju. Shruti Haasan pairing up with Naga Chaitanya for the first-time with Majnu, the Telugu remake of Premam, is common knowledge by now. But a gossip has been doing the rounds in the film nagar circles.During the pre-production stage, Naga Chaitanya had strongly recommended heroine Shruti Haasan for film as he genuinely thought she’d fit the role and at the same time bring craze and hype for the project. Chaitu had expressed that Shruti would be apt for the film to take it to the new high. However, producers were apprehensive as they couldn’t afford Shruti.

Especially post blockbusters like Gabbar Singh, Race Gurram and Srimanthudu, Shruti has become costly. But still Chaitu was keen on having her on board. And the YMC star reportedly agreed to cut down his remuneration by half crore for the film and makers apparently adjusted it in Shruti’s pay.

Chaitu’s last biggest hit was Manam and it was also a multi-starrer. So, Chaitu is very keen on scoring a solo hit which has been eluding him for sometime. New name is being considered for Chiranjeevi’s landmark 150th film. Buzz is that producer Ram Charan and protagonist Chiru are contemplating to rechristen the film although it’s tentatively titled as Kathilanthodu. Remake of Tamil superhit Kaththi, director VV Vinayak is wielding the megaphone.

While Catherine is roped in for a notable role, Vennela Kishore is cast as side-kick. Though rumours are rife that Deepika would be cast opposite Chiru as the female lead, it’s heard that nothing is finalised as of now. A hunt for leading lady is still on. Meanwhile, the film’s regular shooting is expected to star from June 29.

On other hand, Ram Charan-starrer Dhruva has got a release date. Touted to be remake of Thani Oruvan, the film directed by Surender Reddy is likely to hit the screens on Sep 30.

Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth has been admitted to ICU in a private hospital in USA. While the exact reasons behind his sudden illness isn’t revealed, it’s heard that Rajini is not feeling well for sometime. Rajini, who was holidaying in US, has been hospitalised.

Director Shankar, Subaskaran Allirajah (producer of 2.0) and other crew of Robot 2.0 are heading to America to visit Rajini. When questioned, Rajini’s close aides have confirmed the news.However, more details are yet to be known.
