Prominent producer Dil Raju is planning to make a film with young mega hero Varun Tej. Class and intellectual filmmaker Sekhar Kammula will direct the movie. It is a love story between an NRI guy from USA and a Telangana girl. Varun Tej will play an NRI and heroine is yet to be finalized for this untitled movie. Dil Raju said to start the shooting soon. Meanwhile, Varun Tej is busy shooting for a romantic family entertainer movie Mister being directed by Srinu Vaitla. Lavanya Tripathi and Hebah Patel are female leads in the movie. Varun has also committed to do a film titled Rayabhari under Krish’s direction, but it will take some time for this film to go on sets, since the director is presently doing a periodic drama film Gautamiputra Satakari with Balakrishna playing the title role.

On the other hand, Varun Tej’s new film director Sekhar Kammula has approached several heroes after his last movie Anamika failing at box office. There were reports that, his next film will be Leader 2 with Rana Daggubati. However, the project got delayed as Rana is busy with other commitments.The line story of- love between an NRI and a mass Telangana girl hints that, the movie is going to be a hilarious entertainer. Buzz was extremely positive on Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam, before release of the movie. However, things have completely reversed post the release. The movie got unenthusiastic response from critics as well as public, owing to poor writing and bad making by director Srikanth Addala. Unrealistic emotions and unnecessary drama has turned spoilsport for the movie.

Brahmotsavam grossed $556,660 through premieres in USA from 149 screens. As per trade analysts, sales have slowed down in the territory owing to negative mouth talk. Early estimates suggest that, Brahmotsavam day 1 shares are around Rs 13 crores in Telugu states.

Heavy rains in Andhra have affected the movie collections in the zone. Due to over class making and poor mouth talk, the movie is doing average to below average business in ceded. Although day one collections are good in Nizam, response is weak on day 2.Reports state that, day two starts on dull note in all the centers, including Nizam. Seems like, nothing even the nature is helping Brahmotsavam to sustain at box office!

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja has become over cautious in finalizing scripts and directors. His last movie Bengal Tiger released later in 2015 was an average grosser. Ravi Teja took almost five months time to give nod for director Chakri’s script.

Meantime, Ravi Teja suggested several changes, every time Chakri approached him by making changes to script. Few well-known directors and producers have approached Ravi Teja, but only thing the actor asking from them is a good script. As per insiders, Ravi Teja is asking for commercial subjects, which would take his stardom to next level.

Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam released yesterday amidst huge hype and much promise. Distributors from all over have invested insanely huge amounts and the film has clocked nearly 85 Crore pre-release business. However, the day of numbers the film managed to notch up shows an alarming situation for the film’s buyers and makers.

Brahmotsavam has collected nearly 3.67 Crores Nizam and another 1.45 Crore Ceded area. While Guntur saw 1.90 Crore share, East and West Godavari districts collected 1.60 and 1.92 Crores respectively. Furthermore, 44 lakhs from Nellore and 93 lakhs from Uttarandhra/Vizag region and 74 lakhs from Krishna district were collected at the box-office.

After connecting a share of Rs. 12.65 Crores in the twin Telugu states, Brahmotsavam stood in the 4th place in the list of all-time highest opening day earners, following, Baahubali, Sardaar Gabbar Singh and Srimanthudu. On the other hand, Brahmotsavam grossed a decent $560K from the premieres, but Friday collections are expected to be around a disappointing $240K.With buyers on the verge of losing big both in India and in overseas, looks like it’s no Brahmotsavam for Mahesh and his fans or all the parties involved.
