We have sons of star heroes, comedians, directors and producers trying their luck as heroes in our film industry. But here is a star director’s son who wants to become one like his father. Karthikeya, son of the star director Rajamouli is soon to make a debut in direction.

Karthikeya has been working for Rajamouli as assistant from last few films and will be working for Baahubali 2 too. The young chap is very much into everything related to filming and had his hand in cutting trailers for many films. It is heard that Karthikeya got a new zoner story readied for his directional debut and will get launched officially next year.

Many assistants of Rajamouli tried their hand in direction and none of them really got through. We have to see if this assistant-son breaks the jinx and emerges as a hot shot director in Tollywood. Well, Rajamouli must have taught some nice techniques to Karthikeya, like few secret ingredients which he will never disclose to other assistants.

Naga Chaitanya’s much awaited project ‘Saahasame Swaasaga Saagipo’ is waiting to get out of the box from a very longtime. But, the makers did not announce the release date of the film. Coming from ace director Gautam Menon, this film has generated a very good buzz. By looking at the hindrances for this film, this film too may eventually end up like ‘Courier Boy Kalyan’ says the insiders.

‘Courier Boy Kalyan’ was started long back under Gautam Menon’s production but due to financial troubles, the film was kept on hold for two years. After a lot of struggle, the film was released last year but it was a colossal failure and many complained that delays were instrumental in its failure. Now Chaitanya’s ‘Saahasame Swaasaga Saagipo’ is facing same kind of problems.

Though the film is in the news for its songs and teasers, insiders feel that these problems may effect the quality of the product.Hope that it doesn’t happen and Chaitu-Gautam Menon combo delivers another ‘Ye Maya Chesave’ kind of hit again.

Mehreen made her filmy debut with Nani’s Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gadha. She was very impressive in the film and won critics acclaim. The actress has got her second chance now. She is signed opposite Allu Sirish in his next film.

The movie will be directed by a new comer, MVK Reddy (Venu). The movie got launched recently and the regular shooting will begin next month. DS Rao on his Shailendra Productions will be bankrolling the project. The makers will shoot non-stop till completion and will be looking at year-end release.

On the other side, Allu Sirish’s other project, Srirasthu Subhamasthu is also gearing up for release. The movie shooting is complete recently and the post production works are going on at brisk pace.

Allu Aravind is looking at right time for the movie release as they do not want a solo release with out any competition. The actor had high hopes on both these projects to get him the much needed stardom!

Here is a real disappointing news for Trivikram fans. His next film, A..Aa with Nithin and Samantha is not releasing on June 3rd as said earlier, rumour mills are rife that the movie is postponed to July 6th. We do not know the exact reason for this postponement.

But they say one of the reason is that collections will not be good in Ramzan season in some areas. If this news is true, then fans will have to wait two months to watch the film. The challenge for the makers is to make sure the audience interest on the film do not wane out. The movie has problems of some sort since the start.

Anirudh Ravichander walked out of the project midway due to some issues and Mickey J.Meyer is brought in his place. Earlier Senior art director Rajeevan also opted out of the film and AS Prakash was brought in to do the job. Samantha and Anupama Parameshwaran are the heroines.

Nithin will be seen as Anand Vihari while Samantha will be Anasuya Ramalingam in the film. Trivikram’s close friends, Harika and Haasini creations is producing this youthful entertainer. They previously produced Trivikram’s Julayi and S/O Satyamurthy.

At one point, megastar Chiranjeevi and firebrand actress Vijayashanti made a very good pair on screen. Both of them had given a few hit films like Gang Leader and Kondaveeti Donga and the chemistry between the two worked out very well those days.But after entering politics, both the actors adopted different line and criticised each other. Vijayashanti espoused the cause of Telangana; she first joined the BJP, later formed her own Talli Telangana party and later merged it with the TRS to become Medak MP. Finally, she ended up in the Congress.

On the other hand, Chiranjeevi entered politics a bit late by floating Praja Rajyam Party and became an MLA. But later, he merged his party with the Congress and became a Rajya Sabha member. Technically, both of them in Congress party, but ideologically, they are poles apart.Now, Vijayashanti is talking very soft about Chiranjeevi. On Monday, when “Gang Leader” completed 25 years of its release, Vijayashanti recalled her glorious days with Chiranjeevi.

“He was a gentleman to the core. He has a wonderful talent and a great personality. Though there are several young heroes who can dance well, nobody can match the skills of Chiranjeevi,” she said.She recalled how Chiranjeevi threw a big party for her when both of them were shooting for the song “Bhadrachalam Konda..” in Gang Leader.

When the shooting was on, there was a breaking news that Vijayashanti received got the best actress award from the state government for her role in Karthavyam. Chiru immediately arranged a big party that evening and invited several guests including Bollywood actors Govinda and Divya Bharati.“It was a pleasant surprise for me. That was Chiru,” Vijayashanti said.
