One can’t look any monstrous than this. Here’s the frighteningly beefy Rana Daggubati aka Bhallaladeva pumping iron for his part in Baahubali 2. The macho actor recently tweeted this picture clicked by his personal trainer Kunal Gir, under whom Rana has been working out rigorously.

Rana has so far not taken part in Baahubali 2 shoot and he will join the sets once the unit regroups after their ongoing summer break. Rana will look more menacing and mightier in Baahubali 2 than he looked in the part 1.

Allu Arjun’s “Sarrainodu” opened to average to below average talk as the film’s content is too cliched. Irrespective of word-of-mouth, big movies open strongly in mass centres as the movie is mass-oriented. But surprisingly, “Sarrainodu” didn’t post great numbers in any center in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana or USA. Especially in AP and Telangana, “Sarrainodu” has posted average to above average numbers.

Godavari districts which are traditionally considered as the ‘Kanchukota’ for mega heroes, the movie didn’t get even half the amount that Pawan Kalyan’s “Sardaar Gabbar Singh” collected on day one. In East Godavari, the film has collected Rs 1,02,89,087 including fixed hires, which is too low. On the other hand, in East Godavari the movie has raked in Rs 1,03,03,058 (inclusive fixed hires).

In Krishna district, the movie has collected mere Rs 56,54,085, while Pawan Kalyan’s “Sardaar Gabbar Singh” raked in Rs 1,51,40,712.In Ceded too, “Sarrainodu” has got above average numbers as Day 1 figures are around Rs 1.92 Cr.

Altogether with Nizam area, the film will be around Rs 10 Cr for the first day, which is decent figure for an Allu Arjun movie but this also proves that his box-office potential is still too low compared to other big stars despite coming up with an out and out mass movie which was directed by a top director.

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 100th film Gautami Putra Satakarni which kicked off on Friday amidst a lot of fanfare, has hit the headlines from the day of announcement itself.Not many history-based films have been produced in Telugu in the recent past. And there is no doubt that there is no better actor than Balakrishna to do such ventures.However, it is easier said than done in making such films as per the tastes and plans of the actor and director.

No doubt, Krish is a talented director, but he does not have the experience of handling such mega movie with such a huge budgetExcept Rajamouli, there is hardly any director in Telugu film industry to make a historic movie with tight script and heavy graphics. We have all seen how “Rudramadevi” could not stand before “Baahubali” in terms of production values and script.

Balakrishna is expressing confidence that Gautami Putra Satakarni would be released by next Sankranti, which is hardly seven months away. It is not so easy to make such a gigantic film within a short period.We remember how Krish, who had chosen a wonderful story for “Kanche,” could not do enough justice for the theme.Let us hope at least this time, Krish would give a comprehensive shape to his ideas and herald a magnum opus on silver screen!

Nandamuri Balakrishna is known for his mass entertainers and so for that reason, he is always weak in Overseas where the audience prefer class films. But his 100th film, Gautamiputra Satakarani started its business right from here.

The Overseas rights of the film were picked up for a whopping 3 Crore. This is the highest price for any Balakrishna film until now. Absolute Cinemas which recently distributed Kanche and Kalyana Vaibhogame in Overseas bagged the film rights.

The regular shooting of the movie will begin in the first week of May and the majority of the shoot will happen in Morocco. The makers of the Prestigious film are leaving no stone unturned to make the film as grand as possible.

They have decided to use authentic gold ornaments in the film just like how Gunasekhar did for Rudhramadevi. They are planning to use 12 Kgs of Gold and will arrive at a bill of 12 Crore.

Not many people outside the Telugu States were aware of the young Tollywood hero Prabhas. Why non-Telugu audiences, even actress Nitya Menon who acted in quite a few Telugu movies, feigned ignorance about the existence of an actor by name Prabhas in Tollywood.Now, Prabhas is known across all parts of the country. May be not as Prabhas, but as Baahubali which had created nation-wide sensation.

After the resounding success of Baahubali, not only in Telugu but also in Tamil, Hindi and Mayalayam, there has been a great demand for Prabhas movies.So, some enthusiastic film makers are trying to make dubbed versions of earlier hit movies of Prabhas in other languages, cashing in on the craze he had developed among the audiences with his role in Baahubali.

One such film maker has recently dubbed Prabhas-starrer Telugu movie “Darling” into Tamil. He could have retained the same title, but he named it as “Prabhas Baahubali.” This might be surprising, as the title “Darling” had nothing to do with Baahubali.

May be, the film maker might have thought the title “Prabhas Baahubali” would draw more crowds to the theatres, rather than “Darling.”Don’t get surprised if other dubbed movies of Prabhas might be titled “Baahubali-3” and “Baahubali-4”!

Back then during Baadshah, up on the request of Srinu Vaitla, Superstar Mahesh Babu did the voice-over for the film and now reports are emerging that Koratala Siva asked the Superstar to do that once again for Janatha Garage.

If the reports are true, this is third such instance for Mahesh after Jalsa and Baadshah. Non-stop schedules are planned for the film so that the entire shooting will be completed by mid July.

The makers are considering Janatha Garage (with a tagline – Ikkada Anni Repairlu Cheyyabadunu) as the title of the film even though they did not announce it officially. They are planning to release the movie on August 12th, 2016.

The release date works in the movie’s favour as there is a long weekend holiday due to Independence day holiday on Monday. Mytri Film Makers who turned producers with Srimanthudu will be producing this film as well.

Yerineni Naveen, Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar (Thammudu) and CVM (Mohan) are the producers. Music Devil, Devi Sri Prasad will be composing music as Koratala’s previous films – Mirchi and Srimanthudu.
