In this scenario, Tollywood is going to see a sea change by 2020 where all independent producers will disappear, say analysts. The phenomenon is already prevalent in Bollywood and as Tollywood is next big film industry, the culture spreads.

Industry will be ruled by Stars and only Corporates enter into the market. Already Eros, UTV and other big Bollywood Film Banners have entered Tollywood in the last few years.

Since stars are the face and brand ambassadors of their films, they always enjoy major chunk and the Corporates those handle the modus operandi will act as working partners. The bottomline is, Film Industry hails but nails the independent producers in the process.

Prabhas, at the just concluded GAMA Film Awards in Dubai where Baahubali grabbed most of the awards, revealed several hidden and interesting facts about Baahubali. The Young Rebel Star said that Baahubali was initially planned as only one part and that once the script was locked and budget was chalked out, Rajamouli told the film’s producers Shobu and Prasad that Baahubali will not be commercially viable.

Prabhas went on explaining that being passionate about films, both the producers asserted Rajamouli that they will pump in any amount of money to  back the project at any cost and even told Rajamouli not to worry about the risks and finances involved. And then, the film began and the rest was history!
