kalyana

Naga Shaurya’s Kalyana Vaibhogame got postponed yet again. The film is already postponed twice with this. The makers have decided not to announce a release date further until every thing is in place.

Poor availability of theaters is said to be the reason for the postponement. Sankranthi releases are already occupying good number of theaters leaving behind a theaters scarcity. Films that released after Sankranthi compromised on their release, but Kalyana Vaibhogame makers do not want to do that.

‘Ala Modhalaindhi’ fame Nandini Reddy is wielding megaphone for this film. The lady director after a phenomenal first film success, faced a massive disaster with her second film, Jabardasth. So she is banking on this film to stage a comeback. Kalyan Koduri is the music composer.

Guntur Talkies Trailer: Spicy Cuss Fun

Share

The new generation film makers are crossing the old barriers so easily with their new content. Following the boldness and rawness formulae inherited from world cinema, here is ‘Guntur Talkies’ from National Award winning Paveen Sattaru. Although the movie is in production process from some time, here comes the trailer unveiled from the hands of Nandamuri Balakrishna.

The first impression is so hot, spicy and fun oriented. The strictly adult contented trailer introduces Hari, Giri (Siddhu, Sr Naresh) as petty thieves while Suvarna (Rashmi Gautham), the local beauty in steamy affair with Siddhu gets into intimate lip lock. Then comes in the crime and thrill element Jackie (Mahesh Majrekar) taking the name of Anushka with cuss. Then there is Revolver Rani (Shraddha Das), sex maniac woman. Rest is the play of confusion fun game between all these characters which makes ‘Guntur Talkies.’

Music for the film is composed by Sree Charan Pakala while Ramireddy’s camera work and Dharmendra Kakarala’s editing looked so sharp.

Balakrishna 100th Film Confusion Continues

Share

ballaya

The enormous buzz which began to spread like a wildfire regarding Balakrishna’s 100th film is now slowly fading out. There were names of Singeetam Srinivas Rao for ‘Aditya 999’ then Boyapati Srinu and also ‘Pataas’ fame Anil Ravipudi in combination with producer Dil Raju roused to top. Just after ‘Dictator,’ these discussions were seen everywhere and Mokshagnya’s name also sprouted in centre.

Looks like Balayya is a confused man for now unable to arrive at a conclusion on what kind of story, script and director to choose. Nevertheless, we also published a post hinting on ‘Aditya 999’ storyline which wasn’t really so exciting. Similar scenario was witnessed for Chiranjeevi’s 150th when Mega family had no idea on which genre would suit Mega Star the best.

Currently, NBK kept all the options open because we never know which script would impress him. All the prior calculations made on the basis of above said three directors’ names may not be applicable now due to uncertainty and hesitancy in Balayya Babu. Down the lane by next two to three months, we can hope for some precision.

Sri Lanka I-Day to have anthem in Tamil

The Sri Lankan government will stick to its decision to have the national anthem rendered in Tamil too at the official event marking the 68th Independence Day here on Thursday, amid objections from certain sections.

In 2010, the rendering of the national anthem in Tamil became an issue as the then Mahinda Rajapaksa government had toyed the idea of allowing only the Sinhala version to be sung. For about five years, there was an unofficial ban on the Tamil version to be rendered at official events. After Maithripala Sirisena became President in January 2015, the ban was lifted.

Commenting on the present government’s move, Lakshman Kiriella, senior leader of the United National Party and Highways and Higher Education Minister, told The Hindu that “the United National Front [led by the UNP] is a coalition of and for all races and religions”. Thursday’s event on the Galle Face Green will begin with the rendering of the Sinhala version and end with the Tamil version, he points out, adding that there is nothing new about the move as this had been done even on the occasion of the first I-Day anniversary.

A few days ago, Thinakaran, a State-controlled Tamil daily, carried a report on the front page, reproducing the agenda of an official event in 1949 to establish that the practice of singing the Tamil version of the anthem had existed even then. At that time, the term used was “national songs” in Sinhalese and Tamil. On the Rajapaksa regime’s approach, the Minister said that though there was no order in writing, the previous government did not follow the practice of allowing the Tamil version to be sung.

The anthem, called “Sri Lanka Matha,” was authored by Ananda Samarakoon, a student of Shantiniketan. It is said to have been influenced by Rabindranath Tagore. Criticising the government’s move, Uday Gammanpila, leader of the Pivithuru Hela Urumaya , said there is no Constitutional sanction for the action.

An app to monitor law and order

The district police have provided teeth to the patrolling system by introducing vehicles fitted video-recording cameras having an exclusive high security app. Launching the hi-tech system here on Sunday, SP N Manivannan said thanks to the ‘fourth generation patrolling vehicles’, he can now monitor any situation in the town sitting in his chamber. “Before reaching the spot, I can assess the situation by getting a 360-degree view of what is happening at the site, be it the scene of crime, law and order problem, traffic congestion, public meeting or a VIP visit,” the SP told reporters after launching the system.

The patrolling vehicles are provided with two cameras each at the front and rear sides. Images would be transmitted through a modem and with the help of a static internet protocol, S Vijayan, Operations Executive of the Chennai-based Devatech Info Systems private limited, which developed the app, said. The SP and Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) S Sarveshraj, who took the initiative in introducing the system, can access the video footage by downloading the app on their Android mobile phones.

The app has been developed with high security features, Mr Vijayan said, adding unlike the CCTV cameras system, ‘outsiders’ cannot have access to the footage, he added. Recording facilities with one month back-up were also available in the vehicles, he said. The cameras with night mode feature can capture clean images up to 20-foot distance and there is a zoom-in facility for accuracy, he added.

The system has been installed at a cost of Rs 1.70 lakh, drawn from the Collector’s fund, the SP said. “We will introduce the system in the sensitive Paramakudi area and the pilgrim island of Rameswaram in the next phase,” he said.

The district police have also installed 12 static surveillance cameras at strategic points in the town. They propose to introduce a dozen more cameras and connect them all to a control room.

Ramya Krishna, Challenging Devil Role in Rudraksha

Share

ramya

Ramya Krishna is a director’s choice artist. Utmost seniority and dedication to work made her to stand on a different pedestal which is higher than many of her contemporaries. Rajamouli wasn’t worried much when Sreedevi had sky high demands to work as Sivagami in ‘Bahubali’ because Ramya Krishna was somewhere in his thoughts. Today, Ramya stood as the biggest asset for ‘Bahubali’ and so is her recent performance in ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana.’

Now, the latest update on Ramya Krishna is going to be a part of Krishna Vamsy’s ‘Rudraksha’ is again sensational to hear. In fact, the director husband and wife heroine are joining together for a film after 15 years gap. Reports say, KV came up with a ghost character for Ramya and she accepted it immediately.

Ramya will be the spooky element in Rudraksha as the project also provides space for Samanta and few more top female artists to lead. The on screen character of Ramya Krishna in ‘Rudraksha’ will be Ramya and she is a wandering soul around whom the entire story is pivoted. After Neelambari and Sivagami, this is definitely something new from her.

Garam Effect On Krishna!

Against the agreement made by few Telugu producers regarding their planning to release one medium budget film per each week, the upcoming week is going to witness two really good movies competing at Box Office. They are Nani’s ‘Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha’ and Aadi’s ‘Garam.’

Fortunately, both the films are surrounded with positive buzz ever since trailers and audio are out in public. KGVPG showed Nani in a new look besides new girl Mehren and the project is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi of ‘Andala Rakshasi’ fame while 14 Reels Entertainments banner has produced it on a decent budget. Coming to Aadi, he went for a complete makeover for the sake of ‘Garam’ from director Madan while Adah Sharma is looking very hot in the energetic youthful romantic entertainer.

Now that ‘Garam’ and ‘KGVPG’ are hitting the screens on same day of February 12, one has to wait and see… how far each of these films will affect the final Box Office result of the other? Meanwhile, we have only ‘Speedunnodu’ releasing this week that is tomorrow.

Pawan-Kalyan-Good-Bye-Films

Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s recent press meet on Kapu reservations issue stood as news headlines. Everyone thought Pawan Kalyan cancelled Kerala schedule’s shoot of ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ and rushed to Hyderabad to reveal his opinion on Kapu reservations.

However, as per report of a leading English daily, there is another reason that prompted Pawan Kalyan made an urgent visit to Hyderabad. As we reported earlier, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s younger daughter Srija gets married soon. The groom is from Chittoor and the family has known him for a while.

The two families met for dinner recently in Chiranjeevi’s residence and finalized all the details. Pawan Kalyan actually cancelled ‘SGS’s shoot to attend the family dinner. As such, Pawan Kalyan came to Hyderabad to discuss Srija’s marriage.

Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi is planning to organize marriage ceremony grandly in the month of March. It is a known news that Srija went to London to complete her Masters from Coventry University.

Tamanna ‘out’ Sonarika Bhadoria ‘In’ @ Speedunnodu

spedunodu

‘Speedunnodu,’ the complete youthful entertainer from Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and director Bheemaneni Sreenivasa Raavu is releasing tomorrow in theaters. For film lovers, what excites more about this project is it’s a remake of Tamil hit ‘Sundara Pandiyan’ and one more aspect is Tamanna’s hot and spicy item number ‘Bachelor Babu.’

Truly speaking, the towering image of Tamanna has swallowed the very existence of a heroine named Sonarika Bhadoria being a part of this project. Yes, Sai is romancing Sonarika in this film and let’s remind you it’s not Tamanna the main heroine. Not to blame on common audience mindset because makers have promoted Tammu’s item song more than anything else as selling factor for the movie.

Starting it from promotional posters to trailers and other stuff, Tamanna is shown as the main face of ‘Speedunnodu’ which automatically kept relatively a newcomer Sonarika Bhadoria on backburner. For viewers’ information sake, Sonarika is the same sexy babe who made it ‘Jaadugaadu’ a special show and now, she is eager to register a mark of her own with ‘Speedunnodu.’ Hopefully, she comes out from Tammu’s domination after the release.
