* Megastar Chiranjeevi dons greasepaint as a hero after a huge gap of 9 years. He is likely to work for Tamil blockbuster ‘Kaththi’ remake and VV Vinayak will helm the project. Although some silly reasons are heard to stop the project, inside buzz says the movie will go on sets in the month of March and will hit the screens for Dasara season.

* Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ is the craziest project among the movies which are on sets now. Pre release business of the movie touches 100 crores including all rights. The makers are planning to release the movie on April 8.

* Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s highly awaited crazy project ‘Thani Oruvan’s remake will go on sets on February 17. The movie will release on August 12 targeting ‘Krishna Pushkaralu’ season.

According to trade reports, the film is doing good business in B and C centers of two Telugu states while in Tamil Nadu, it almost joined 20 Crores grosser club.

A Kollywood trade buzz says, ‘Aranmanai2 grossed Rs 16.8 Cr approximately by opening weekend only due to family audiences. By today evening, the film is likely to join 20 Cores club. Telugu version is also faring enough. Horror and comedy mix worked.’

Amazed by the response from audience, Sundar C began the preparations for ‘Aranmanai 3’ which might go on sets within this year with whole new bunch of stars becoming a part. Most probably, Hansika Motwani will retain her devil characterization for third installment also.

Nagarjuna’s Pongal blockbuster collected two times more than the closest competitor through the weekend. Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitraalu opening has been decent and the credit should go to Raj Tarun for his impressive track record.

Kalavathi opened on a strong note as the masses were attracted by the star studded posters and promos. This film will be a successful one for the buyers as it was sold for reasonable rates. Lavanya Tripathi’s LOL ended up as a flop as it wasn’t able to take off. SARS need to do well until the next weekend if it has to come closer to the safe zone. For a change there won’t be multiple releases in this weekend. Bellamkonda Srinivas’s Speedunnodu is going to enjoy a solo release on this Friday.
