Less Pay, More Call Sheets For Sam
Following his last release, the Ram Charan starrer Govindudu Andharivadele, director Krishna Vamsi has been planning to make a high budget fantasical graphic extravaganza titled Rudraksha. There were reports that Anushka has been roped in for the female lead’s role.
Now, latest buzz in the grapevine is that Anushka could not allot the huge number of call sheets Krishna Vamsi wanted her to and that she had to be finally replaced. The new actress to step into Anushka’s shoes is none other than the petite beauty Samantha. Apparently, Sam even cut down her remuneration for this film.
This will be Samantha’s first full fledged female oriented role in her 6 year long career. Krishna Vamsi is known for his perfection in extracting stunning performances from his heroines, and Sam must be hoping that this film will be a memorable milestone in her career.
Teaser Talk: Chubby Hero’s Tuntari Punch
And finally, the teaser of Nara Rohith’s much talked about sports drama Tuntari has been released just a while ago. The film, an official remake of Tamil hit Maan Karate, has its story penned by star director AR Murugadoss.
Tuntari is directed by Kumar Nagendra of Gundello Godari and Joru fame and produced by Ashok Baba and Nagarjun. Let’s see what this teaser has in store for us.The teaser starts off with stylishly shot slow motion visuals of Nara Rohith, a boxer, preparing himself for the biggest fight of the year.
In an intense fight between Destiny and Hard Work, Nara Rohith is shown to be losing the bout with his opponent, Kabir Duhan Singh of Jil fame.Then comes an interesting fantasy element, as a swamiji is shown in a deep penance underwater, adding a mystery element to the story.
Then comes the beautiful Latha Hegde, the film’s heroine who is making her Tollywood debut. Looks like Latha plays a crucial role in Nara Rohith’s victory in his bout.The teaser has definitely set the expectations soaring. Let’s wait for the theatrical release which is due in February.
Mohanlal’s Son in Janatha Garage!
Actor Mohanlal sharing screen space with NTR in his next to be produced by Mythri Movie Makers is no longer breaking news. It’s already known that Mohanlal would be seen as NTR’s Pedda Nanna in the movie. Now latest buzz is that Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan has been roped in to play Mohanlal’s son in the movie. Apparently, Mukundan’s role in the movie will have negative shades.
Though he’s not playing the lead antagonist in the film, he’ll be essaying a significant role in the movie. Billed to be an out-and-out commercial entertainer, the movie has been titled as Janatha Garage.
With this it’s clear that NTR’s next would deal with rivalry between cousins. After industry hit Srimanthudu, director Koratala Siva is wielding the megaphone. Naturally, expectations on the film are floating around. The movie’s first schedule will be in Mumbai and NTR would join the shoot in this schedule. NTR will be romancing two heroines in the movie. While one being Nithya Menen, the hunt for female lead is going on.
OMG! Hyd Voters Bribed With Water
Gone are the days when candidates from most of the political parties desperately tried to win elections by bribing voters with liquor, cash and other expensive stuff. Now, what several contestants in the GHMC elections are bribing their voters with will leave you speechless.
Several candidates who are in the fray for the intense GHMC battle are distributing water tankers to the residential colonies in several areas in the GHMC region which are badly hit by limited or no water supply. Apart from supplying them water, these candidates are also promising them continuous water supply if elected to power.
While this innovative act shows the gross negligence of the current representatives and the lack of basic civil amenities that are plaguing the residents, it also shows how leaders have realised the importance of winning the voters’ hearts by addressing their basic problems.
Voters too have become smart and they no longer trust politicians who simply bribe them some amount per each vote before the polling, come into power and forget their problems till the next elections. This time, the voters will surely choose those leaders who are really genuine in solving their issues.
Sardaar Gabbar Singh to shift to Kerala
The current schedule of Pawan Kalyan’s Sardaar Gabbar Singh is now complete. It is known that a special village set was erected for this schedule at Banjara Hills. The next schedule of the movie will begin in Kerala in the first week of February.
The audio release event of the movie will take place on March 12th. The makers are planning to release the movie on May 11th, 2016 as Summer Special. Power fame Bobby is wielding megaphone for this film. Devi Sri Prasad will be composing music.
Pawan Kalyan’s close friend Sharath Marar is producing the film under his North Star Entertainment banner. Pawan Kalyan himself is the co-producer. Eros International had bagged the film even before the start of the shoot.
Seethamma Aandalu Ramayya Sithralu Movie Review – 2/5
Story:
Ramu (Raj Tharun) is a non-serious young lad who cares for nothing in life and keeps on wandering in his village In his childhood itself, he falls for Seetha (Arthana) and the crush grows along with him till Seetha becomes a Medico. After much deliberation, he manages to propose love to her but Seetha as well as her parents reject him outright. Rest of the story is all about how he manages to convince them and win Seetha.
Performances:
Raj Tharun’s character is also most like a photo copy of the characters he did in the past. But he managed to pull it off well which is what the character demands. But when the comparison sets in between all his films you feel, he needs to look for a change.
Arthana is seen as a girl next door and is alright. However she has to work on her expressions. Shakalaka Shankar does well what he is expected of with his excellent comedy timing. Rest of the characters do not have any impactful roles. Raja Ravindra is wasted in a poorly written role.
Technical Performances:
Srinivas Gavireddy, the debut director has done well with individual scenes but when the scenes are combined, they lack the punch needed to keep the audience engrossed. Once the film enters the challenging phase, he lost control completely and ended up killing his first big chance. Gopi Sundar came up with good music as always. It helped the narrative part. BGM is equally good as well. Editing is decent while Camera work is fine. Some comedy punches worked well while the stunts are over the top.

Final Say:
The movie has strong similarities several old Telugu movies. You feel like watching one of them. If not for the entertainment quotient which worked well, the movie would have been a huge disaster. Try it at your own risk having said that all.
Baahubali-2 completes Kerala schedule
The second schedule of SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus, Baahubali – The Conclusion is wrapped up the other day in Kannur, Kerala. The schedule went on for about 10 days there and the team are on their way back home. The next schedule of the movie is likely to begin in Ramoji film city very soon.
Malayalam period film Pazhassi Raja was extensively shot in rural Kannur. Rajamouli was very much impressed with the locales of the movie and so shot there. 40% of Baahubali-2 shooting is already completed with the first part.
Rajamouli will have to finish the remaining shoot. The movie may see light only in the first half of 2017 which means a good one and half year for the remaining shoot and the post production work.

Rajinikanth has been troubled a lot by distributors for his Lingaa disastrous result. The superstar then decided to pull a feat with young director Ranjith with new movie Kabali, wherein he plays a Don.
Flops can never pull back Rajini. While there are huge expectations on Rajinikanth’s Kabali allover the fans and film circles, the films rights are now hot cakes around the World. Cinegalaxy reportedly bagged Telugu and Tamil version rights of Kabali for 8.5 crores in USA and the right went upto 1.65 crores in Australia. Along with these, there seems to be a huge competition for Malaysia rights.
Lingaa and Kochadaiyaan left Rajini fans in huge disappointment and distributors in big losses. Even after that, the per-release business of Kabali is commendable!
Superstar Admits His 14 flops In A Row
Bollywood’s ‘King of Action’ Akshay Kumar said that the reason behind his successful starry career is his fans. Akshay said that in the career span extending over 20 years he learned that an actor becomes star only due to his or her fans.
Khiladi actor stated that when he joined the industry he did not have much of choice and he was only focused on stunts. The actor stated that he never takes things for granted as he has been through rough patches in his career path. The actor admitted that he once delivered 14 flops in a row and then he was back with two super hits again.
He further said that he likes doing films which turn as source of entertainment for the entire family. He revealed that he requested Lara Dutta to become his co-star in ‘Singh is Bling.’ Showering Lara with praises, Akshay said that his co-star’s performance was flawless in the flick.
