NTR then revealed that he underwent liposuction and after that continued to maintain the same physique by working out in gym regularly. From Yamadonga, NTR’s physical transformation is amazing and got a new lease of life to his career.

Just as Chiranjeevi is preparing for his comeback movie with the remake of “Katthi”, here comes the news that Telugu Film Directors’ Association and Film Federation Members have decided to boycott the movie. The reason is that the makers of Chiranjeevi’s “Katthi” are not honouring the decision taken by Katha Rachayitala Vedika headed by Dasari Narayana Rao.

A writer named Narasinha Rao has been claiming that the story of Murugadoss’s “Kaththi” is his and the team of Murugadoss has used it without giving him credit. But Murugadoss turned down his claims. Later the writer approached Katha Rachayitala Vedika which was chaired by Dasari and Dasari declared that the film shouldn’t be cleared for dubbing/remaking into Telugu unless the makers settle the issue with this writer.

But the Director’s Association now says Chiranjeevi is remaking the movie without settling the matter with writer. Hence the association forwarded the issue to the Federation and they decided not to cooperate Chiru’s production team. The issue is now at film chamber of commerce. It is clearly Dasari vs Chiranjeevi’s battle. Everyone knows they don’t get along well.

During those times, a writer named Narasimha Rao came forward claiming that ‘Kaththi’ is a story written by him and Murugadoss copied/used it without giving him any respect both in title credits and also in financial success.

At a time when Vinayak and his team along with Paruchuri Brothers are deeply involved in making changes to Tamil version, Narasimha Rao approached Katha Rachayithala Vedika headed by Dasari. Immediately, Dasari ordered for non-co-operation to Chiranjeevi ‘Kaththi’ and till the time Narasimha Rao is given the due recognition, there’s no way Dasari is going to loosen his stand. The issue has now headed to Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce for a solution.

Padma Sree Award is not just an honor or a matter of grown respect; it also builds a sense of responsibility on SS Rajamouli to think and execute his forthcoming films with much more accountability, sincerity and of course a social cause. A honor which isn’t decorated for greatest of directors like K Raghavendra Rao, Dasari Narayana Rao and other specialized commercial directors especially garlanded on SS Rajamouli might obviously throw some critics into aggressive mode but the Award is announced and we need to accept it.

True that Rajamouli redefined commercial and Box Office value of Telugu cinema and thus Indian cinema with projects like ‘Magadheera, Eega’ and ‘Bahubali’ made on highest technical standards ever used in Indian movie making. Displaying a brilliant eye in visualizing creative scenes added with enormous technical grandeur resulted in magnum opuses. But, how far these films showed a path for societal enlightenment or in which way they are different from ongoing trend?

Time has come for Jakkanna to forget his commercial storylines and begin his hunt for experimental lines to be coated with commercial treatment. This could be possible only if Rajamouli’s dream project ‘Maha Bharatha’ is materialized. Despite those routine glamour and heroic elevations his films are popular for, there is another side of the coin where Rajamouli has to work on. Will there be any effect of Padma Sree on ‘Bahubali 2’ or will he continue to excel in his own known way?

Film Story Rights Vedhika Chairman, Dasari Narayana Rao reportedly ascertained that Kaththi has similarities to the Narasimha Rao’s story and asked the producers of Chiranjeevi to come forward to settle the issue.

However since there is no response from that side, Film Federation and key unions of industry have declared ‘non co-operation’ for the prestigious project. Kaththi remake was supposed to go floors in March.

Universal Hero Kamal Hassan made his Twitter debut the other day on the occasion of Republic day. He is welcomed by his daughter, Shruti Hassan to the Tweet World and his account was verified by Twitter very soon.

Chennai: As many as 30,000 people have “followed” actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan on Twitter within 24 hours of him joining the micro-blogging site.

Haasan joined Twitter on the Republic Day and his daughter Shruti Haasan was the first person to welcome him. His handle “@ikamalhaasan” is already verified.

His first tweet was a video of him singing the national anthem, composed by maestro Ilayaraja. “India’s freedom struggle remains unique even today. Respecting it is d only way to keep it & set new world standards,” he wrote along with the video.

Mumbai: Filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor, who has directed Katrina Kaif for the first time in his film “Fitoor”, says he is a huge fan of the actress. “I am a huge fan of Katrina as she works with so much of sincerity and gives her heart and soul to each and every character that she portrays,” Abhishek told reporters in a group interview.

“Also, she tries to prove all her critics wrong thorugh her hard work. What more can she do as an actress? I am happy with Katrina’s work,” Abhishek said. “Fitoor” is an adaptation of Charles Dickens classic novel “Great Expectations” and will have Katrina playing Firdaus, while Aditya Roy Kapur will portray the character of Noor.

Asked what prompted him to make this film, Abhishek said: “I have never attempted a love story. I read this book long time back and felt this is a story Indian audience would love to watch. There is old school romance, pure love and heart break in it.” The film also stars Tabu, Aditi Rao Hydari, Lara Dutta and Rahul Bhatt. “Fitoor” will hit the theatres on February 12.
