Nag & Balakrishna Troubling NTR

Share

Not enough time is left and still enough work is left to be done. Nannaku Prematho production unit is simply working with a sole agenda of releasing the movie for Sankranthi, at any cost. When hero Jr NTR is participating in shoots, despite high fever, no other has objections to work day and night.

Calculating many factors, makers haven’t started theaters booking yet and this is bringing big troubles. Nagarjuna’s Soggade Chinni Nayana and Balakrishna’s Dictator makers have already blocked many theaters in AP and Nizam and agreements are on progress for other theaters in many major centers.

If Nannaku Prematho makers make further delay in blocking the theaters, then they may not get sufficient theaters for release. Sankranthi is best season for film release. Despite talk, star hero films get huge openings.

So, makers of Nannaku Prematho don’t want to miss the opportunity to seize as many as openings. But, lack of theaters will disturb their plans.

On the flip side, Nannaku Prematho has done exceptional pre release business. The film’s audio and theatrical trailer hiked expectations. Directed by Sukumar, Nannaku Prematho is expected to have all required ingredients for classes as well as masses.

Trade Report: Crime & Road Comedies Takeover

With big budget films lined up for Sankranthi, a bunch of notable movies released to cash in on the Christmas weekend. Gopichand’s Soukyam was released a day ahead of the other three films. Despite being the biggie among the four releases Soukyam turned out to be the worst of all in terms of content.

Trade expected Loukyam kind of magic from Gopichand but AS Ravikumar Chowdary failed to do what Srivas was able to. Soukyam opened with average openings and didn’t pick up over the weekend as the word of mouth was very bad and the filmgoers had so many other options to choose.

Mohanbabu, Allari Naresh duo failed to get decent openings in spite of having a notable supporting star cast. Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu opened on a dull note and continued the trend without any sign of improvement.

Bhale Manchi Roju is the pick of the lot as it is doing particularly good in A centers and the plexes. This crime comedy got good reviews and is liked by the audience who love to watch quirky comedies.

Bhale Manchi Roju performed decent overseas too while all other movies ended up as disasters there. Jatha Kalise caught the attention of the masses with attractive publicity. This film did okay for its budget and scale. It needs to remain steady to get into safe zone. Not a great send off to this year as there isn’t any super hit among December releases.

* What I love about the promo of #NannakuPrematho is that it doesn’t behave like a dictator demanding love..it actually commands love

Allari Naresh Finds No Luck

What’s happening with Allari Naresh career? How speed is his declining career graph from last few months including that of his most talked about 50th movie ‘Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu’ is also declared a clear failure? He was once considered as safe most Hero with minimum guarantee films to credit. Producers ran in a hush to bag his call sheets hoping for good profits working with this Sudden Star.

With the recently released ‘Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu,’ even the teaming of Mohan Babu, Ramya Krishna, Meena, Poorna and many others did not work anything in favor of Naresh. In fact, many of the audience were clearly seen blaming Allari Naresh for showing his irritating comic acts in the film. Director Srinivas Reddy should also be given the negative credits for following an out dated script and treatment which no where evoked laughs.

Finally, it could be the right time for Naresh to either take a break or learn the lessons from past before his career gets worse from bad. We need to wait and see, how far he is listening to the audience verdict.

Coincidences Worrying Nannaku Prematho

All said and done, Jr NTR’s Nannaku Prematho theatrical trailer impressed everyone for its beauty, a touch of style and class. Impeccable visuals and Junior’s new body language have arrested cinema lovers at the very first second itself. There is another aspect however which is right now worrying Tarak’s loyal fanbase.

If we look closely, Nannaku Prematho looks like an extended version of Sukumar’s 1-Nenokkadine only. Preachy dialogues, intelligent comparisons and hero talking rather slowly with coolness as his primary weapon is something we saw and felt fully in that Mahesh starrer.

That film is about finding his parents and dedicating his father’s creation golden rice to the world. Here in Nannaku Prematho also, hero works for his dad’s wishes and fulfils his will. With the pattern looking similar, people are wondered if audiences could accept this preachy stuff from a stylish looking hero like it happened in the case of 1-Nenokkadine.

Also the theme of Nannaku Prematho is little slower like in the case of 1-Nenokkadine and Devi Sri Prasad’s music sound like another feel-good album. All this coincidences are little worrying the believers of sentiments. Hope the film defies them and wins big at box office on January 13th.

Buzz: ‘No Comment’ Clause For Heroines

Share

sayesha

By the now, heroine Sayesha Saigal’s comments about the disaster “Akhil” have become a big sensation. No other heroine would have commented why a film has failed, but this young lady analysed what went wrong and why the film bitten dust.

She opined that there is not much chemistry between the lead couple, and a bit of romance would have saved the film from becoming debacle. Taking to these comments, we hear that makers of “Akhil” are highly upset. Generally heroines don’t analyze why a film failed, but now with Sayesha’s revelations, it started spreading as if Akhil is not having judgemental skills. Till date even Akhil didn’t speak about his disastrous debut, but Sayesha minced no words.

Upset by the movie’s very own leading actors talking about the loop holes of a flop show, few producers are heard to be advising to introduce a ‘no comment’ clause in agreement such that the star cast will not speak about the film in negative way post the release.

Robots learn to complete tasks

Share

Robot_2673911f

Scientists are teaching robots to watch how-to videos and derive a series of step-by-step instructions to perform a task, an advance that may help future ‘personal robots’ to do everyday housework such as cooking and washing dishes.

The researchers at the Cornell University in New York call their project “RoboWatch.” There is a common underlying structure to most how—to videos and there is plenty of source material available, researchers said. YouTube offers 1,80,000 videos on “How to make an omelette” and 2,81,000 on “How to tie a bowtie.”

By scanning multiple videos on the same task, a computer can find what they all have in common and reduce that to simple step-by-step instructions in natural language. People post all these videos “to help people or maybe just to show off,” said graduate student Ozan Sener, lead author of a paper on the method presented at the International Conference on Computer Vision in Chile.

The work is aimed at a future when we may have “personal robots” to perform everyday housework — cooking, washing dishes, doing the laundry, feeding the cat — as well as to assist the elderly and people with disabilities, researchers said. A key feature of the system is that it is “unsupervised,” said Sener who collaborated with colleagues at Stanford University.

In most previous work, robot learning is accomplished by having a human explain what the robot is observing.

More than his films, Tollywood handsome hunk Rana Daggubati used to be in news for his alleged romantic relationships with heroines. Whether the affairs are true or not, Rana was the favorite for gossip mills. Both were spotted together at public and private affairs. However, the duo ended their connection owing to reasons best known to them.

The grand success of Baahubali made Rana(Bhallala Deva) not to look for other options to be on limelight. Rana won accolades for his villainy acts and nationwide media praised him for his brilliant screen presence. The Rajamouli directorial didn’t force Rana to shake his leg.

In fact, Rana who is not a great dancer feels happy for not having any special songs for him to dance in the movie. The actor says he doesn’t enjoy dancing and according to him songs will interrupt the flow of narration.Interim, Rana has resumed shooting for the second installment of Baahubali.

In 25 Years, HE Didn’t Touch Currency!

Believe it or not. It’s been over 25 years and the ace director hasn’t touched currency notes or currency coins. The man in question is none other than director Ram Gopal Varma. Apparently, Ramu has averse to money and he hates money a lot. This was revealed by director Puri Jagannadh that his guru RGV never touched money. On contacted, RGV too corroborated the same.

Money is an irritation to me. If anyone comes to me and tells about someone else that he/she is Crorepati, it doesn’t impress me at all. But if anyone tells me that one has money and they use it aptly, I’d be impressed,” says RGV who is all set for the release of his next Killing Veerappan.

RGV added that all his monetary transactions would be carried out by people close to him and he hates even discussing about money. Soon after the release of Killing Veerappan, RGV will soon be heading to Mumbai for his upcoming projects including Sarkar 3 with Big B Amitabh Bachchan.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India’s new petition calling on the government to uphold the ban on Jallikattu (a bull-taming sport of Tamil Nadu) has been signed by top film and cricket stars, including Sonakshi Sinha, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shilpa Shetty, Kapil Sharma, Amy Jackson, Vidya Balan, Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan etc.

Actress Amy Jackson posted a tweet in support of PETA’s disagreement over Jallikattu and has faced ire of political outfits in Tamil Nadu. ‘#NoJallikattu : Actors, cricketers sign @PetaIndia’s plea against bullfights.  Please show your support too!’ posted Amy on micro-blogging site.

A political outfit called Tamil Munnetra Padai protested against Amy Jackson at Thyagaraya Nagar in Chennai, for voicing against Jallikattu. They burnt posters of Amy Jackson and demanded the removal of the actress from Superstar Rajinikanth’s much awaited flick Robo 2.0. The political outfit also demanded to ban Amy from Tamil films.

Amy Jackson became most sought after actresses in Kollywood after Shankar directed ‘I’. The starlet who was last seen in Thanga Magan (Nava Manmadhudu in Telugu), is currently starring in three high-budgeted Tamil movies, including Rajinikanth’s Robo 2.0.

Now, Amy has invited troubles by expressing her views against the traditional sport of Tamil Nadu- Jallikattu. Let’s see whether Kollywood supports the actress or not!

My father told me not to live like a coward

NTR Junior didn’t say a word about the Sankranthi box office clash with his Babai’s movie. He skipped talking about the topic while everyone was waiting for it. However he said that he wouldn’t fear anybody as his father taught him to be independent. “My father told me not to live like a coward. Fall or face death but never runaway from problems,” is what my father has taught me.

“I am here only because of two people… my grandfather and my father. They are the Gods for me,” said NTR and took the blessings of his father on stage. There was not even single mention or clip or poster of Balakrishna at the Nannaku Prematho audio launch. Harikrishna said Junior has inherited the qualities and looks of his grandfather.

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram said his father Harikrishna is the best son ever who has dedicated his entire life for his dad. NTR said he is here in this stage only because of Harikrishna and Late NTR. One thing is pretty clear that there is a huge rift in Nandamuri family.

Harikrishna and his sons are not trying to send signals of compromising with Balayya. So the clash is on and it is going to be a historical one.

Jagapathi-Babu-Stills-in-Le

Veteran actor Jagapathi Babu is currently busy doing supporting roles and villain characters. After playing a villain in Balakrishna’s Legend now he turns villain to NTR. He is going to be seen as the main villain in upcoming Sankranthi release Nannaku Prematho. Jagapathi Babu says this is the worst character that you will ever see.

“A very bad man, rogue and kaminey is what I play in Nannaku Prematho. People will hate me like anything after seeing this. For the first time in my life I had to act as I am never like this in my life.

This won’t be a loud villain like Legend. It is totally different from typical villain characters. Sukumar is a very intelligent filmmaker and I am proud to be a part of such a prestigious film,” Jagapathi told. Jagapathi Babu who has lost all his assets and money is trying to crawl back to the lost glory and riches. He wants to restart the legendary Jagapathi Pictures very soon.

“I want to restart our production house and produce a very big hit,” JB said at Nannaku Prematho audio launch. He hinted something about ‘Alludiki Prematho’ to which he didn’t give any further explanation. We wonder what JB is up to.
