First Look: Balayya with Item Bombs!
This picture of Nandamuri Balakrishna flanked by bombshells Mumaith Khan, Shraddha Das from his upcoming film Dictator is the buzz of tinsel town. Touted to be Balayya’s 99th film, the movie directed by Sriwass is all set to set screens ablaze on Jan 14th on the eve of Sankranthi.
Balayya is already looking stylish-ever in Dictator as stylists from Bollywood were flown to design his costumes, special looks in the film. For the first-time, writers Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan have worked for Balayya. After stupendous success of Loukyam, Sriwass is directing and co-producing this film.
KCR’s Grandsons Stuns All at Yagam
More than their grandfather and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, it was his grandsons who stole the show during the Chandi Yagam. KCR’s grandsons Himanshu Rao, Anil Aaditya, Anil Aarya were cynosure of all eyes.
In fact, pushing their grandfather KCR aside, Himanshu, Aaditya and Aarya took centre stage as they grabbed all eyeballs. At the five-day-long Ayutha Maha Chandi Yagam, Himanshu, Aaditya and Aarya were seen sitting beside their grandfather patiently and offering prayers.
On the final day, Himanshu, Aaditya and Aarya were seen taking blessings from the guests. Himasnhu, son of KT Rama Rao, was seen touching feet of elders and taking blessings.
CM KCR too looked happy for his grandson’s respect for elders and asked the guests to bless his grandchildren more than anyone. Sons of Kavitha, Aaditya and Aarya, too spotted at the Yagam.
BJP Begging For My Apology
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has once again spewed venom on his rival party BJP. Following the recent CBI raids on his office, Arvind raised the intensity in his attacks against PM Modi and other BJP honchos. Then came the DDCA corruption scandal as a blessing in disguise for Kejriwal.
Soon after former Indian cricketer and suspended BJP MP Kirti Azad broke the financial scam in the DDCA and accusing the Union Minister of Finance Arun Jaitely of heavy corruption, Kejriwal has already initiated a probe into the scandal, pushing the BJP to a corner.
And today, Kejriwal has something more interesting to claim as he took to Twitter and said, “BJP almost begging me for an apology. Sorry. I won’t oblige them. Let Jaitley ji be cross-examined in defamation cases. Let truth prevail.”
Well, if the CM’s words are anything to go by, the battle between AAP and BJP seems to be getting even more interesting in the coming few days.

Ram Charan’s Movie Launch Postponed
Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s new movie was supposed to be launched in the third week of January. Update is that the movie’s launch will be delayed furthermore. Since the director of the movie, Surender Reddy, is in the US on his personal affairs, it takes three more weeks the director to return India. That’s why the movie’s launch has been pushed to February 10.
However, once the movie rolls down the shooting will be wrapped up in quick schedules. Shruthi Haasan has been roped in as the female lead of this high octane action entertainer. Arvind Swamy sports the role of main villain of the movie.
Tentatively titled as ‘Rakshak’, the movie will be produced by Mega Producer Allu Aravind on Geetha Arts. The movie is expected to be a sure shot blockbuster. As we know, original version of the movie ‘Thani Oruvan’ was a blockbuster in Tamil Nadu.
Tamannaah cuts her fee?
Tamannaah, who had a rough patch in her career with a couple of her B’town films and a Telugu flick not doing well at the box office, is back in the game with the monstrous success of Baahubali. The actress has been very much in demand after the release of the multilingual film.
Though her next project in Tamil Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga failed to create an impact at the box office, her recent Telugu film outing Bengal Tiger turned out to be a moderate success. It was reported recently that Tamannaah was roped in as the female lead for Seenu Ramasamy’s Dharma Durai, which has Vijay Sethupathi playing the lead. The film has three other actresses too essaying crucial roles.
A source says that the actress has cut down her remuneration as she was impressed with the script and her character in the movie. The shooting of the film began a few days ago in Theni. The actress currently has Oopiri in Telugu and Baahubali 2 lined up in her kitty.
Trisha unveils her New Year plans
Trisha is one actress who spends every New Year with her band of friends and this year, too, is no different. The actress took off to the West Coast of US along with a few friends.
Speaking to DC from US, Trisha said, “I am happy and contended that 2105 has treated me so well. The year was very hectic with six films that released in Tamil and Telugu put together. I wanted to take a lengthy break and I am currently travelling in the US, the West Coast with my friends”.
She adds, “I landed in Vegas and then visited the Grand Canyon and Napa Valley. I had an awesome time spending Christmas there, which is known for its best wines. The whole place wore a festive look with lovely decorations all around.”
Language is never a barrier for me: Parul Yadav
Actress Parul Yadav, who has successfully tested waters in many industries, is now eagerly looking forward to the release of the multilingual flick Killing Veerappan, which is set to hit the screens on New Year. The Mumbai-based actress believes that her performance in the film is her best till date, and is all praise for Ram Gopal Varma, who helmed the project.
According to her, the film is based on the last operation against Veerappan, and will include few interesting anecdotes from his life. “The film will garner a lot of attention after its release because the core theme will keep the audience glued to their seats. Ram Gopal Varma resea-rched for around eight years for the film, and the freedom he gave artistes to be themselves is commendable and admiring,” says Parul.
The movie will first release in Kannada and Telugu and later in Tamil and Hindi. Parul portrays the role of a girl who was chosen by the police department in the operation against Veerappan.
“It is based on a real character. I was curious to know what made a 20-year-old girl give a nod to such a dangerous operation. I’m happy that through my character, the plight of that girl will reach the public,” she says.
The actress marked her debut in Kollywood with Dhanush’s Dreams a decade ago, but says that she would like to act in more Tamil films. “Few of my favourite movies are from Kollywood — in fact, language has never a barrier for me,” she says.

Rajinikanth Calls in Jet Li for Kabali
While Bollywood Star Akshay Kumar is roped as antagonist for Super Star Rajinikanth in ‘Robt 2.0’ currently under production mode, latest we hear is director Ranjith Pa of ‘Kabali’ is also looking for bigger attraction than Akshay Kumar.
If reports are to be believed, makers are looking at East to bring Jet Li into the casting for villain character in ‘Kabali.’ In this regards, makers have met six actors including Jet Li.
Others in the list are Donnie Yen from ‘IP Man’ series, Winston Chao from ‘Zhong Kui Snow Girl’ and ‘The Dark Crystal,’ Simon Yam of ‘Lara Croft Tomb Raider’, Jiang Wen from ‘Gone With The Bullets’ and Chow Yun Fat of ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean: At Worlds End.’
As and when one of them will be finalized, an official announcement is expected. Reports suggest, Jet Li is the frontrunner and once Rajinikanth takes the final decision, he will join the shooting.
