Hot Heroine Dreams Come true
Actress Aditi Rao Hydari says the experience of working with a legend like Amitabh Bachchan makes her believe in the saying that dreams do come true. “I feel foolish when someone ask me about the experience working with Mr.Bachchan. What can I say about a great actor like him? I don’t have enough words to express my feelings, to say what I feel to be actually been a part of this film like ‘Wazir’. Whoever wants to be a part of this industry and has a dreams, I like to tell them Dreams do come true. I know they do with this experience,” she said at the film’s press conference.
Aditi, who was much appreciated for her portrayal in “Yeh Saali Zindagi”, called herself “privileged to be around most respected people in Bollywood”. “Every single moment I spent with Mr.Bachchan, Farhan, Vinod sir, Bejoy, Abhijaat was really amazing. Mr.Bachchan connects with you personally… that’s something I will never forget. And he has sparkling eyes that is something I will always keep with me.”
Apart from “Wazir”, Aditi also has an interesting upcoming project in 2016 – Sudhir Mishra’s “Aur Devdas” where she plays the contemporary version of Chandramukhi and Abhishek Kapoor’s “Fitoor” where she plays a younger version of Tabu’s character Begum Hazrat.
“Katrina” the most hardworking actress!
Mumbai: Actress Tabu feels that her “Fitoor” co-actor Katrina Kaif is the most hardworking actress she has ever worked with and admits to being amazed by Katrina’s involvement in her work. “I must say that Katrina is the most hardworking actress I’ve ever met, I’ve ever seen and worked with. We had only three days of shooting but the involvement with which she worked was amazing,” said Tabu at the trailer launch of their film on Monday.
“Fitoor” is based on Charles Dickens’ novel “Great Expectations” and as seen in the trailer, Tabu plays the role of the begum who is the hurdle that her daughter Firdaus (played by Katrina), has to cross to unite and reunite with her love Noor (played by Aditya Roy Kapur).
When Katrina was asked at the press conference about her “fitoor” (madness for something), Abhishek intervened: “She is just passionate about work. If you see her on the sets, you see that she has the maximum ‘fitoor’. The manner in which she works and the dedication with which she listens and works, shows she has a afitoor’ for work.”
“On sets, she was always open-minded and she was always willing to push the envelope as far the performance was concerned and personally I’m very happy with the work that she has done in the film,” he added. The film also starring Lara Dutta and Rahul Bhatt among others, is scheduled to release on February 12.
The final frontier!
The upcoming GHMC elections are the final frontier for the TRS. Should they nail these elections, then KCR can sit back and truly afford to relax. And it is no surprise therefore, that he is going all out in his efforts to win the public to his side.
A slew of decisions were taken by KCR solely with the GHMC elections in mind which included waiver of drinking water bills amounting to nearly Rs 500 crore, a promise to install ‘lifts’ in the 2 bedroom houses meant for the poor and reductions of annual property tax to Rs 101 for those paying up to Rs 1200.
But the thing that beats political analysts is that he keeps giving away things free of cost as if the State is his ancestral property and then complains of no assistance from the Center. If winning elections is the only objective even at the expense of fiscal prudence, then it is hard to see such an administration ushering in real development.
Fact Sheet: TDP Insults Young MLA
The TDP policy of discrimination against Opposition MLA’s continues unabated and the Party is now bold enough to pursue this in a brazen manner. The TDP government released a GO no 68 recently which sanctioned Rs 2 crore as part of the constituency development fund to Allagadda constituency.
The report in the GO says the funds were sanctioned on the recommendation of TDP leader of Allagadda, Gangula Prabhakar Reddy. The MLA of Allagadda is Akhila Priya, daughter of Shobha Nagi Reddy. How can the Government, issue a GO naming its own Party member as the MLA of the constituency?
One might think it was a clerical error but it is hard to accept it in the wake of recent incidents. YSRCP MLA Roja has alleged that elected representatives were ignored at Rayachoti, Bapatla, Santhanuthalapadum Kamalapuram, Maidkuru, Araku and other places and works were instead entrusted to the TDP leaders. And now, this seems a deliberate slight to Akhila Priya.
NTR Clears Air About Media Party
Surprising everyone NTR suddenly threw a bash for film journalists at star hotel in Hyderabad even while his Nannaku Prematho’s shoot is progressing. Other than giving interviews during the release of his movies, he never had informal get together with media persons. Hence many speculations started. To put an end to this, he said he is clearing the air about the party.
NTR said the small bash is all about saying thanks to the media who have played key role in his success in all these years. Since Nannaku Prematho is his 25th movie as hero, the actor said he felt he needed to thank the media. Although there were gossips doing rounds that he is going all out to get maximum promotion for his Nannaku Prematho as the movie is competing with his uncle Balakrishna’s Dictator movie at the Sankranthi boxoffice, NTR clarified that he hasn’t done this for the publicity of his movie.
Clearly, NTR is happy with the tremendous response his film’s trailer has received and the buzz around the movie is too strong. He wants to turn all this attention in his advantage and make the movie biggest blockbuster.
Maybe De-Centralization Will Help
Anantpur, Kadapa, Chittoor and Kurnool comprise the four districts of Rayalaseema. The backwardness of the region has spawned faction-lords over the decades who keep people in a vice like grip.
Majority of youngsters choose either Chennai or Bangalore for a better life. But not everyone can be that lucky! Following the bifurcation, people of the region were hopeful of a better deal from the politicians.
But barring Kuppam, no other constituency in Rayalaseema seems to merit the CM’s attention. Nevertheless, despite this official apathy, solutions will have to be found out to streamline the administration in Rayalaseema.
One way could be to increase the number of districts in the region with headquarters at Nandyal and Tirupati and perhaps even Guntakal and Kadiri. That would help towards empowering the smaller towns and villages of the region. it would be a start!

Yesteryears glam queen Kushboo says that she is a big fan of NTR. Few fans asked why Kushboo was going gaga over NTR’s upcoming film Nannaku Prematho and she has opened up about her admiration towards the young Nandamuri hero.
“For all those who ask from AP n Telangana..I m a die hard #Jr.NTR fan..hardly miss his films except a few..watch it as n wen time permits (sic),” Kushboo tweeted a while ago. Tarak fans are overjoyed to know that Kushboo is a great fan of their idol.
ER Buyers Terrified Of Nannaku Prematho!
Low budget movies usually stay away from clashing with big budget movies. When small films don’t like to compete with one big movie, Express Raja producers surprised everybody by entering into the Sankranthi race. Even Soggade Chinni Nayana starring veteran star Nagarjuna is likely to struggle to get good number of screens because of the clash of Dictator and Nannaku Prematho. How could Express Raja get a decent release when three biggies are fighting it out?
UV Creations has a wonderful track record and Sharwanand has become more reliable than ever, but pitching ER against three big movies is questionable. The effects of this are already seen as few buyers are expressing helplessness in getting a decent release for Express Raja. As per sources buyer who has bagged the overseas rights of Express Raja is worried about the heavy competition. Nannaku Prematho in particular is riding on high expectations and is likely to be allotted maximum screens in US. Sukumar’s brand name and the buzz around this NTR’s film have put Nannaku Prematho above the competition.
Dictator and Soggade Chinna Nayana too would try to get as many screens as possible. Express Raja buyer who bagged the overseas rights for Rs 1.2 crore needs many screens to recover his investment. That is not possible in this scenario. Run Raja Run has done well in US but it was released when there wasn’t any competition. Express Raja too could do well but these may not be the ideal conditions for this small film.
As per trade sources buyers of this movie are facing trouble in finding good theaters in the domestic circuit too. This film will need something exceptional to withstand this tough competition.
‘Handcuffed and locked up’ by US officials
A student from Hyderabad sent back by United States authorities has alleged that she was handcuffed and locked up by immigration officials there at an airport, deepening a swirling controversy over recent instances of deportation of Indian students headed to two California-based universities. The young woman says her only “offence” was reaching the US to join an institute recognised by the US consulate in India but classified as “blacklisted” by the US immigration department.
About 200 Indian students have been deported in the last fortnight by US authorities to Hyderabad, the city that sends the maximum number of students from the country to American higher education institutes every year. The woman, a graduate in business administration, says she took off for the United States on December 30 and was to take a flight from Dallas to San Jose to get admission for an MBA programme at the Silicon Valley University. “They told me to go back to India as joining such a university would spoil my career,” she said. “‘Apply for a good university and come back’, I was told.”
Her trauma did not end there, she says. “In the name of procedure, the officials handcuffed me along with a few other Indian students, made us wear a uniform and put us in a cell with other offenders for over nine hours,” she said recounting “the horror”. Karunakar, a student from the state’s Guntur district, said the officials treated them like thieves. “All our papers are proper, but still we were handcuffed,” Karunakar, who returned on Saturday, told TV channels at the Hyderabad airport. The students say they are angry with the Indian government “for not acting tough with the US and coming to the rescue of its citizens”. In addition to the deportations, dozens of students were stopped from taking US flights in the last few days from the international airport here.
“We do not maintain the record of those who are stopped here but those who were sent back would be close to 200,” an immigration official at the airport told HT. Almost all of these students were seeking admissions in the Northwestern Polytechnic and Silicon Valley universities in California and were sent back from ports of entry like San Francisco, New York and the US immigration checkpoint in Abu Dhabi.
Bus fares beat air fares to Vijayawada for festival
Vijayawada: With Sankranti, one of the biggest festivals of Telugus, just 10 days away, the rush of people booking tickets for the native villages and towns has begun. Lakhs of people visit Vijayawada and nearby villages from Hyderabad every year and the demand for all types of transport is very high and prices almost double during the season.
This time, however, private bus fares have surpassed flight fares between Hyderabad and Vijayawada. A seat on a luxury bus costs almost Rs 2,500 per seat on January 14 and 17, as against Rs 1,999 and Rs 4,476 depending on the airline. On the other hand, despite slight rise in reservation charges of APSRTC, all the tickets on peak days have been almost sold out. “I managed to get tickets for my sister and myself to travel from Hyderabad to Vijayawada in a RTC bus but return tickets are not available.
Now I have to spend some thousands for a private service or take a train,” said techie P. Avinash who comes to the city every weekend. The newly launched Amaravati buses, which were put into service after Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu launched them on January 1, were the first ones to get booked.
Rs 5 Cr Set For Pawan Kalyan’s Movie?
One of the costliest sets has been erected for Pawan Kalyan’s current movie in Hyderabad. Presently the movie’s shoot is progressing in Jubilee Hills and a huge set is created that is said to be made with more than Rs 5 Cr budget. This lavish set was created on suggestion of Pawan Kalyan who is said to be tired of doing the scenes in outdoors as the locations the team had chosen is not satisfactory to him. Hence the art director recreated the vision of Pawan Kalyan at a private land in Jubilee Hills.
Sardar Gabbar Singh’s shoot is already under progress in Hyderabad and it will continue till this month end. As we reported earlier, Pawan Kalyan would not be participating in the campaign of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections which are scheduled to be held in the third week of January. Although BJP and TDP have asked him to join the campaign, he reportedly declined their request.
Pawan Kalyan is planning to complete the movie’s shoot by March end and ready it for April 8th release. Directed by Bobby, the movie is produced by his friend Sharat Marar and Eros International. Kajal Agarwal is also joining the shoot of the movie.

Malavika Nair who made her Telugu debut with Nani’s Yevade Subrahmanyam, is currently doing her second film opposite Naga Shaurya in Kalyana Vaibhogame. The actress is dubbing on her own for the movie which is a commendable thing for a second film heroine.
The movie is all set to release on the 22nd of January. The film is all about the wedding woes of a newly married couple. The recently released trailers and music album have got good appreciation from all quarters.
‘Ala Modhalaindhi’ fame Nandini Reddy is wielding megaphone for this film. The lady director faced a massive disaster with her second film, Jabardasth. So she is banking on this film to stage a comeback. Kalyan Koduri is the music composer.
