Hillary Clinton raises record $112 mn in 2015
Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton raised a record $112 million in 2015 for her election campaign and enters the New Year with a $ 38 million in cash. New York—based real estate tycoon Donald Trump, the leading Republican candidate, is funding his own campaign, while his colleague Jeb Bush — whose campaign is struggling at this point — had crossed $100 million figure months ago. At the beginning of this campaign, 68-year-old Clinton set a goal of $100 million in primary contributions for 2015. But she crossed it by raising more than $112 million in primary money for the year.
Ms. Clinton’s $ 37 million in primary dollars in the fourth quarter set a new record for the best off-year Q4 for a non-incumbent. In addition to the money raised for her campaign, Ms. Clinton raised more than $18 million for the DNC and State Parties across the country through the Hillary Victory Fund in the fourth quarter. Ms. Clinton raised roughly as much for the primary as President Barack Obama did during 2011 as a sitting President and more than either Ms. Clinton or Mr. Obama in 2007 despite having one fewer quarter to raise.
“Thanks to the hundreds of thousands of Americans who have joined together and powered this historic campaign, we are now heading into Iowa and New Hampshire with the resources we need to be successful,” said Hillary for America campaign manager Robby Mook. Ninety four percent of donations to this campaign in the last quarter were in increments of $100 or less, Mr. Mook said.
Ms. Clinton’s nearest Democratic competitor Ben Sanders has yet to declare his year end fund raising figures. Republican Ted Cruz, who’s popularity has increased in the last few months raised $ 20 million in the fourth quarter, thus making a total of more than $ 46 million this year.

On the eve of the New Year, the AP government reportedly received permission from the Union Civil Aviation Ministry for an airport at Bhogapuram. There is nothing remarkable in the permission being accorded as the Union Civil Aviation Minister is none other than TDP man Ashok Gajapathi Raju. But the government will now set about acquiring nearly 5500 acres of land for the airport of which only around 1400 acres is government land. So what?
Getting the airport is the real thing here! Millions of air travellers in AP can now heave a sigh of relief. People in the state had been complaining that there was no airport at Bhogapuram because of which the MNC’s were not coming to AP. Lufthansa, Jet Airways etc had also requested for an airport at Bhogapuram owing to the frequency of air travellers from that region.
And all it entails is the destruction of only another 4000 acres of fertile agricultural lands. Are we not the great Andhras who are willing to destroy 35000 acres for a new capital? Why crib about a few acres more for an airport? Food security? Nonsense!
We can import vegetables and rice from Singapore. Danger to the ecosystem? Sorry, no danger to my community! I was born in this community and I will die in this community! All other emotions of fellow-Andhraites, fellow Indians etc are only convenient add-ons.

If so, all should support it. My support for the formation of a new state was relative to the twin demands that the Union government agrees to reimburse the revenue deficit of the new state of Rayalaseema with ‘no ifs and buts’ and gives meaningful and long term tax incentives for industries to come up in the Rayalaseema region,” he told the newspaper.
It is not regions or people who are responsible for the backwardness of a certain region. it is corrupt or indifferent leaders at the helm. KCR promised a ‘Bangaru Telangana’ but 18 months into his administration, the spate of farmer suicides in Telangana is at an all -time high with there being no steps undertaken to redress their grievances. Division will only result in one set of corrupt leaders being replaced by a local bunch of equal if not more corrupt, local leaders.
The Kashmiris are caught in the crossfire between India and Pakistan. Shall we agree to some of their leaders’ calls for secession because it will result in better governance? We need honest leaders at the helm, not land grabbers. And hopefully, pretty soon, the people of AP will get one such leader.

Prabhas speaks about his marriage plans!
Young Rebel Star Prabhas is a National figure now after the super success of Baahubali. He is also the most eligible bachelor in Tollywood and we have seen several rumours about his marriage in media over the past couple of years.
Prabhas finally opened up about his marriage in an interview to a National Newspaper. “I haven’t thought about marriage yet. I don’t know what qualities I want in my dream girl.

NTR’s Nannaku Prematho Theatrical Trailer which released towards the end of last month, set a new record by garnering a whopping 7.5 Lakh views with 23.5 Likes in the first 24 hours after its release. But the First Look teaser of Brahmotsavam released the other day could not reach it.
The teaser just managed to get 5.45 Lakh views with about 11000 Likes. So, it can be concluded that NTR is much ahead of Mahesh Babu.
Jan 1st Brings a New Record To Hyderabad
In fact, liquor is the best options to celebrate any occasion for bachelors as well as married men. The New Year has been invited with boundless ‘kick’. On December 31, over Rs. 200 crore worth liquor was sold in Telanagna state alone. This is a Rs. 50 crore extra sales compared to last year. Not just in Hyderabad, the alcohol sales were huge in other towns and rural areas too.
According to a report by the Telangana State Beverages Corporation Limited (TSBCL), which involves track & trace mechanism and liquor validation, the total liquor sales in Greater Hyderabad region and its outskirts alone was Rs. 120 crore.
The report adds that, this time alcohol lovers preferred expensive and imported liquor. The TSBCL in a statement said that the total December sales in the state was Rs. 1,250 crore which is around Rs 250 crores high, compared to the month sales last year.
There are 500 retail liquor sales shops, 495 bars, 25 clubs besides resorts and private events in the greater Hyderabad city limits that sold Rs. 120 crore worth of liquor for the New Year event.
The retail outlets, bars and clubs start stocking liquor four days prior to New Year. Starting from December 28 to 31, the various TSBCL depots on average sold Rs. 75 crore of liquor each day!
