Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Lion’ was the only movie which got released this year. Sadly, the movie scored a debacle at the ticket windows. The movie scored a full run share of Rs.18.30 crores world wide. Balakrishna is expected to strike back with his ‘Dictator’.

Young Tiger NTR’s ‘Temper’ above average result was a big relief for the actor as he got a string of failures prior to the release of ‘Temper’. The movie collected a share of Rs.42.16 in its full run world wide. NTR’s ‘Naannaku Prematho’ has generated huge buzz among Sankranthi releases.

Kalyan Ram scored the first super hit of the year ‘Pataas’. However, he could not continue to the momentum with ‘Sher’. The movie was a huge disaster. Moreover, Kalyan Ram’s own production venture ‘Kick 2’ also incurred heavy losses.

All in all, Nandamuri Heroes have faced mixed results in 2015 and 2016 is likely to bring cheers to them and their fans.

In the wake of the deportation of 14 Indian students and denying boarding to 19 Telugu students at the RGIA Airport recently, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has asked the US to honour the visas issued by its consulates and embassies.

The Indian government reacted after the US stated that the decision to deport students was not due to the blacklisting of the US universities, but based on the immigration assessment of the individuals as they provided ‘inconsistent information’ to immigration officials.

The MEA ministry also issued an advisory asking Indian travelers to carry valid documentation to ensure their admission into the US. Apart from valid travel documents, the students should also provide documentation regarding their study plans, housing, financial support, health care arrangements etc.

Apart from deporting and denying boarding to Indian students who got admissions into the reportedly ‘blacklisted’ American universities such as Silicon Valley University at San Jose and Northwestern Polytechnic University, Fremont, some Indian nationals travelling on business, tourism, work visas have also been deported.

Lakhs of Educated Beggars In India

Next time when you come across someone begging alms, don’t just mumble something in English thinking that they will not understand you. The census data of 2011 has made an astounding revelation that 21% of the beggars in our country are educated to the level of SSC or more.

Delving deeper into the details, there are around 3.72 lakhs of literate beggars. Around 75,000 of them are 12th Pass outs and 3000 are believed to have either professional diplomas, graduation or post-graduation.

Some of those beggars were interviewed to know the reason for them to have chosen this as their livelihood. While some of them have chosen this path being not able to get any kind of employment, some others have opted it as it yielded them more income compared with their previous jobs.

Whatever may be the reason, this portrays the alarming state of the educated youth in our country. Whether it is a vocation or an avocation there is urgent need that we have to retrospect regarding the current system of education as it is not instilling the confidence to become an entrepreneur rather than looking out for a job.

Chiru’s 30cr Remuneration to beat Mahesh?

Apparently the remuneration of Megastar Chiranjeevi became a huge topic now, with Ram Charan and Lyca Productions teaming up to producer iconic 150th film. If there is only Charan as a producer, then remuneration topic wouldn’t have surfaced. But with Lyca’s presence, everyone is anticipating that the Tamil production house is getting ready to pay a might packet for Megastar.

A report has surfaced other day that Chiranjeevi is being paid 30 crores by Ram Charan because Mahesh is now getting paid 25 crores for AR Murugadoss bilingual. Ambiguity prevails over this report because Mahesh himself is not charging money from producers these days, but only taking share in the project by becoming a co-producer.

Cut to the rumour, why would Charan pay 30 crores to Chiranjeevi on paper, making it a taxable income for the senior? Maybe Chiru would take a cut from movie’s profits as a share, without taking a single paisa from either Charan or Lyca. Sources from Chennai revealed that Lyca Productions is claiming a small share in production just for the sake of giving Kaththi remake rights and they may own overseas rights of the film. Entire production and publicity calls will be made by Charan only, while Vinayak takes the onus of giving first copy without exceeding the fixed budget.
