Stars Shower Their Love On Naga Chaitanya
Naga Chaitanya is celebrating his birthday today. And all his friends from the film industry have taken to social media to express their love and wishes.His dad, Nagarjuna, was one of the first people to wish a wonderful birthday.Currently Naga Chaitanya is working on Saahasam Swasaga Saagipo which is being directed by Gautham Menon.
This will be a Tamil-Telugu project with Simbu in Tamil and Naga Chaitanya in Telugu. His director and co-star from the movie Manjima Mohan also wished him as he turned a year older.His cousin, actor Rana Daggubati also showed his love for Chay on on social media. he also tweeted a pic of the two of them with their grandfather. A very touching and sweet moment indeed.
Avika Gor To Team Up With Nikhil
Actress Avika Gor will collaborate with actor Nikhil Siddhartha in his yet-untitled Telugu project, which will be directed by Vi. Anand. The makers are also in talks with Taapsee Pannu to play one of the leads. “Avika is already on board. She will be playing one of the leads, while we are still in talks with Taapsee to play another leading lady. The film will also feature a third heroine, but we still haven’t finalised anybody,” Anand told IANS.
The film, which will be a love story with some fantasy elements, will feature Nikhil in two different avatars. “It’s a performance-oriented role. We were on the lookout for an actor who can play a youthful and trendy character. Nikhil perfectly fits the bill,” said Anand, adding that Nikhil is a versatile actor of the younger lot.
To be produced by Venkateswara Rao, the project will go on floors in mid-December. Sekar Chandra will compose the music. Anand also has plans to remake his last Telugu directorial “Tiger” in Tamil, but everything is still in the nascent stage.
Chaitanya’s Shocking Surprise In SSS
New teaser of Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo is launched on the occasion of Naga Chaitanya’s birthday. This teaser is entirely different from the first look teaser that gave an impression that the film is a romantic drama. New teaser shows the other side of the film which highlights the action part in the film.
Surprisingly SSS looks like an action thriller in true Gautham Menon’s style. People expected another Ye Maya Chesave kind of romantic drama from this combination but Gautham Menon is trying out new genre with Chaitanya. The trailer is classy and Gautham’s mark all over it. This surely raises the expectations over the movie.
Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo is slated for January release. Chaitanya who took a hit with his previous release Dohchay is expecting to be back on track with SSS. Music of this film is scored by maestro AR Rahman. Malayalam actress Manjima Mohan is making debut in Telugu cinema with it.
Dil Raju Hits Bull’s Eye Once Again
Dil Raju has been lucky till date thanks to small films and he is once again bang on with Kumari 21F. Though he did have problems as a distributor with big films, he has always made money with small films and looks like the saga continues. Barely three days old, Kumari 21F is already getting him profits, as per trade analysts.
Talk is that Dil Raju acquired the nizam rights of Kumari 21F for Rs 2.5 crores. Of that Rs 25 lakhs is returnable advance. And the film has made Rs 1.5 crores on Friday and Saturday and that is excluding the collections made on Sunday. It means that Dil Raju has already got the money he invested. Since most of the theatres are either owned by him or leased, he is likely to make good money by the time the film is out of theatres.
Women Declare ‘Happy to Bleed’
Sabarimala Temple board’s controversial move for inventing a machine to ‘check the purity of women’ entering the famous temple has invited flak from women across the nation. Taken aback with this, women have launched a counter campaign ‘Happy To Bleed’ on social networking sites. Taking on ‘menstrual taboos’ and ‘sexism’ of the board, the counter campaign instantly went viral online.
Earlier this month, the Sabarimala temple authorities, when asked about allowing women to enter the shrine, said that can only be done once a machine that scans menstruating women – “just like the ones that check for weapons” – is invented.
“A time will come when people will ask if all women should be disallowed from entering the temple throughout the year. These days there are machines that can scan bodies and check for weapons. There will be a day when a machine is invented to scan if it is the ‘right time’ for a woman to enter the temple. When that machine is invented, we will talk about letting women inside,” Prayar Gopalakrishnan, who recently took charge as Devaswom Board President, told .
From time immemorial, women have not been allowed inside shrine in Sabarimala temple. Meanwhile, several intellectuals too joined the cause and offered support to the campaign of ‘Happy To Bleed’.
