Actress Avika Gor will collaborate with actor Nikhil Siddhartha in his yet-untitled Telugu project, which will be directed by Vi. Anand. The makers are also in talks with Taapsee Pannu to play one of the leads. “Avika is already on board. She will be playing one of the leads, while we are still in talks with Taapsee to play another leading lady. The film will also feature a third heroine, but we still haven’t finalised anybody,” Anand told IANS.

The film, which will be a love story with some fantasy elements, will feature Nikhil in two different avatars. “It’s a performance-oriented role. We were on the lookout for an actor who can play a youthful and trendy character. Nikhil perfectly fits the bill,” said Anand, adding that Nikhil is a versatile actor of the younger lot.

To be produced by Venkateswara Rao, the project will go on floors in mid-December. Sekar Chandra will compose the music. Anand also has plans to remake his last Telugu directorial “Tiger” in Tamil, but everything is still in the nascent stage.

New teaser of Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo is launched on the occasion of Naga Chaitanya’s birthday. Dil Raju has been lucky till date thanks to small films and he is once again bang on with Kumari 21F. Though he did have problems as a distributor with big films, he has always made money with small films and looks like the saga continues. Barely three days old, Kumari 21F is already getting him profits, as per trade analysts.

Talk is that Dil Raju acquired the nizam rights of Kumari 21F for Rs 2.5 crores. Of that Rs 25 lakhs is returnable advance. And the film has made Rs 1.5 crores on Friday and Saturday and that is excluding the collections made on Sunday. It means that Dil Raju has already got the money he invested. Since most of the theatres are either owned by him or leased, he is likely to make good money by the time the film is out of theatres.

Entrepreneur turned filmmaker Prasad V Potluri is on a production spree. PVP, who has produced extravaganza films like Varna, Balupu, will soon be expanding his base drastically. While his next Size Zero is slated for release this month, two other big-ticket films – Mahesh Babu-Srikanth Addala’s Brahmotsavam, Nagarjuna-Karthi’s Oopiri – are on floors. His next film is going to be in Hindi and it has been titled as Ghazi and it features Rana, Taapsee.

“In the next six months, I’m going to start 9 films. Have made very big plans to be in the industry. It’s not just about making a film, marketing a film is equally important. Hence, we’re chalking out innovating methods to promote, market film,” said PVP who is promoting his Size Zero all out.
