Watch Vikram’s New Film Projects Cancelled ?
Guns And Gangs: Nothing Before Kumari
Yesterday Tollywood saw a horde of films hitting the cinemas. Out of them, three movies have released amidst huge hype, including Kamal Haasan’s Cheekati Rajyam, Sukumar’s Kumari 21F and James Bond flick Spectre. Other small releases are Chiru Godavalu and Okkaditho have also hit cinemas. Surprisingly there is only one film that is dominating the total bunch.
Kamal’s narcotics officer role and the way he deals with a gang in a night has won critical appreciation but audiences are not much excited about it. So, Cheekati Rajyam may find limited crowds at box office. Highly hyped James Bond movie Spectre isn’t appealing like the previous bond film Skyfall. Many Bond fans are disappointed with this intelligent story while they are expecting guns, gadgets girls and thrill from it.
And then, whether someone calls it adult content or some say artistic new-age stuff, Sukumar’s story Kumari 21 F made huge impact at theatres. The film has unprecedented love being showered by youths as the content struck them on hearts. Kumari is going to lead the pack at box office without any opposition until movies like Size Zero and Thanu Nenu arrive next Friday to prove their mettle.
Meanwhile small films like Chiru Godavalu and Okkaditho are not even heard about their talk, and their limited release is not going to create any impact in front of Kumari 21 F. That’s the story folks.
Automation Technology drives simpler life
Imagine a situation, you are sitting in an extremely important meeting and you are next in line to present an idea that you put together after burning the midnight oil. You are all charged up and the effervescence combined with hard work is enough to convince your boss. Suddenly it strikes you that you may have forgotten to lock the house while hurriedly leaving for work in the morning. The thought of an open house with valuables inside especially when you are at least an hour away from work is bound to get you worried, to an extent that it impacts the presentation you are about to deliver. What next? Well, it is simple. With home automation locking your house is just a click away! Home automation, simply put, is associated with a system that provisions centralized control of lighting, HVAC (Heating, ventilation & air-conditioning) appliances, shades, AV systems, security locks of gates and doors resulting in convenience, enhanced comfort, energy efficiency and security. With the number of smart devices – smartphones, tablets & the more recent smart watch on the rise, interconnection and communication has become a useful and desirable feature. The time is right to reap the benefits of this remarkable revolution, in much the same way the world has moved/is moving from incandescent to more sustainable and energy saving LED bulbs.
On an average, a working individual spends about 9 hours at work and 7 hours sleeping, leaving little time to tend to the home front. In today’s age where time management is a major concern, we have to prioritize and make our lives as easy as possible. At the home front, automated systems are bound to simplify our lives to a large extent. A pragmatic approach will be to adopt a system that makes everything hassle free. After all, home is a place where we all wish to relax and be devoid of any stress. In addition to creating a serene atmosphere, it is a fruitful investment, fruits of which are borne in time. With the depletion of sources of energy and rising awareness around environment friendly methods, automation systems have gained popularity. It enables optimal usage of electricity and minimizes wastage. For instance, using sensor based technology lights will automatically turn on/off basis our presence/absence in the room. Automation will considerably bring down your electricity bill without any compromise on the living standard. For an average household, you can save up to 60 per cent of your lighting energy and 10-30 per cent of your heating and cooling costs by adopting various strategies such as occupancy sensing, daylight harvesting, personal dimming control, automated shading, plug load control and time scheduling etc. Dimming your lights by 25 per cent can save 20 per cent energy. Automated shades can help block harmful UV and solar heat gain, thus lowering energy consumption by air-conditioners.
With implementation of automation systems, one can view all that is going on in the house even when you are sitting miles away. No longer does one have to rely on neighbours to keep a check on the house, when everything can be remotely managed. In extreme weather conditions, for instance in the time of scorching heat, you can switch on the air conditioning an hour prior to reaching home. The same holds true in the case of extreme winter conditions when you can switch on the heating system to ensure that you are living in the “comfort of your home”.

Again, Gopichand Continues Title Sentiment
Tollywood’s angry young man Gopichand is known for his sentiment in naming his films with letters ending with the Telugu phonetic ‘am’. Good luck started kissing Gopichand ever since Teja’s Jayam turned a huge hit. Gopi then followed it up with Varsham, which was again a huge blockbuster.
The title sentiment only grew stronger with a series of hits like Yagnam, Ranam, Lakshyam, Souryam and the recent hit Loukyam. Even the unsuccessful films like Andhrudu, Okkadunnadu, Mogudu, Wanted etc added the sentiment, pushing Gopichand to stick to the titles with ‘am’ sound in the end.
As per the latest buzz, Gopichand’s next film after he completes Soukhyam has been titled Balam, following the sentiment. However, it is not yet confirmed whether Balam will be the title for his next film under senior producer AM Ratnam’s son Jyothi Krishna’s direction or some other director.
Why did Farhan Akhtar opt out of SRK’s ‘Raees’?
Actor Farhan Akhtar says he chose to opt out of Shah Rukh Khan’s forthcoming “Raees” as he did not want to play a police officer again. The 41-year-old “Dil Dhadakne Do” star will be seen as an ATS officer in Bejoy Nambiar’s “Wazir”, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan. When asked if playing the role of a cop again was the reason why he did not do “Raees”, Farhan said, “Yes, absolutely right. Raees was supposed to happen at a very different time. It was not about not wanting to play a police officer in it, it was about not wanting to do it immediately. So it would’ve been the next thing I would have shot for (after Wazir),” he told reporters. The actor was speaking at the trailer launch of “Wazir“. Farhan, who is co-producing “Raees” through his banner Excel Entertainment, said he was a bit “uncomfortable” to play a similar character but is happy actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is doing the part now.
“I was a bit uncomfortable with that. The two are completely different projects but more or less you’re playing the same kind of character. The foundation is the same so I didn’t want to do it. But it’s fantastic because we have Nawazuddin who is playing that character, he is a fantastic actor.” Farhan also said that currently he has no plans to make “Don 3“. “No plans yet. I’ve always maintained I have enjoyed writing that character.. he is a very exciting character to write for and I had a tremendous time working with Shah Rukh. Hopefully something will come along. But I really don’t have a plan.”
The actor, however, did not divulge any details regarding the cast. “I don’t have a script so its very difficult for me to tell you who will be in it. Don will definitely be in it. Apart from that it depends on what characters are there in the film.”

KCR Wants To Save Rs 5000 Cr in 4 Months!
The new state of Telangana is not so flourishing as expected. With the increased interest on loans and poor revenue collections, Telangana state’s financial condition is poor. In an attempt to avoid further worsening of the situation, Telangana government imposed restrictions to curb wasteful expenditure in the next four months of this financial year (2015-16) and thus wants to save at least Rs 5000 Crore.
CM KCR has convened an emergency meeting with CMO, finance department officials on Friday and discussed to implement strict austerity measures till the financial situation becomes better. KCR directed his cabinet colleagues and HoDs to hold meetings immediately with subordinates to come up with plans on cost cutting.
Finance officials pointed out that Rs 15,000 crore was being spent on miscellaneous expenditure and if austerity measures were implemented, around Rs 5,000 crore could be saved this year. Following this, the CM asked officials to come up with measures to curb wasteful expenditure to save Rs 5,000 crore.
As per the latest rules, the TS government has stopped purchasing things like air conditioners, furniture, telephones, office vehicles, electrical appliances, computers, printers, photocopy machines and etc. Government also said clear ‘no’ to foreign trips of ministers, higher officials on public exchequer in the next four months.
KCR also said to have asked ministers, officials to not to waste money on vehicles, fuel besides cutting down on operational costs in all government offices. Though the TS govt. initially planned to sell its lands to mobilise funds, lost its hope on it due to slowdown in the state’s realty sector.
Many say even if we the government could save Rs 3000 Crore, it would be a big achievement for KCR’s government.
Too Many Creative Brains Cooking Sardaar
Powerstar Pawan Kalyan is busy shooting for his upcoming flick “Sardaar” in and around Vadodara, Gujarat. Those who have seen the shooting are busy cuckooing about the number of creative brains involved in the film and how the output is coming out.
Director KS Ravindra (Bobby) is the one who has written story and dialogues for Pawan’s sequel of Gabbar Singh, titled Sardaar Gabbar Singh. Suddenly there was an entry of writer Sai Madhav Burra to provide an alternate version of dialogues for the movie.
And then, producer Sharath Maraar himself is a creative guy with nearly 20 years experience in TV and Film industries. We cannot rule out the fact that he’s not giving any creative inputs. Former choreographer Harish Pai, who was supposed to direct Pawan earlier in a film titled ‘Tashwa Maidan’, happens to be official creative head of Sardaar Gabbar Singh.
Above all, there is Pawan Kalyan, who is also a writer and director himself, who has almost co-written this film’s story along with Sampath Nandi earlier and KS Ravindra now.
With too many creative brains involved in cooking this dish, anyone will wonder how the film’s output will shape up. Generally a writer and director takes care of Telugu movies, but Pawan’s films are becoming something special with the choicest of people working on his films.
