Generally Tollywood star heroes charge nothing less than Rs. 5 to 15 Crores per each film depending upon their past track record and present market value. Producers whoever are ready to invest on them have to get at least these amounts first to block the hero call sheets before setting other combinations. While no one knows the exact figures at which our star heroes work but latest buzz heard in film circles is Mega Power Star Ramcharan has decided to cut down the remuneration for his next film to be produced by DVV Danayya.

In fact, Danayya happens to be the same producer who lost decent amounts on ‘Bruce Lee.’ In order not to strain his producer any more, Charan has not only decided to cut a big portion of his pay cheque for ‘Thani Oruvan’ remake but also gave enough flexibility in payment norms. Charan is also not going to accept any advance amount from Danayya and only if the film secures enough profits recovering past losses, he will take a share in profits from ‘Thani Oruvan’ remake.

This could be a big respite for Danayya presently accumulating the needful finances to begin the production works. Meanwhile, Surender Reddy is working very hard in making necessary changes to the original Tamil script. Good to see, everyone struck to their respective jobs.

As expected, “Akhil” has weaved itself into a web of troubles with 1st Weekend collections proving that the film will leave a big dent for both producers and distributors.

Owing to the predictions of trade analysts, “Akhil” has collected nearly 16.3 crores ‘share’ after its First Weekend at box office. While it fetched 10+ crores on day one alone, for the next four days the film managed to pull only 6 crores more, just 1.25 core each day from all over the world.

Unanimous negative talk on opening day and spread of the talk like a tsunami, resulted in this box office collapse. From two Telugu states, Akkineni Akhil’s debut film managed 14.61 crores, while Karnataka helped fill 1.05 crores and 33 lakhs from USA to the collections.

While local distributors end up losing 55-60% losses, USA distributors who invested 4 crores will be burning their pockets with nearly 90% loss. While distributors in all territories lose big time, producer Nitin will also lose a heavy chunk as they distributed the film through own channels in Nizam area.

With such disastrous result delivered, real trouble starts as some distributors might seek some return of payment too. These are the days where that demand is more vogue.

December has always been a favorite month for Akkineni Nagarjuna. Many of his films released in this month have tasted good success. In fact, Akkineni Fans have dreamt big on watching either ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ or ‘Oopiri’ hitting the screens in December of this year. After a failure ‘Akhil;’ there were good hopes riding on Nagarjuna’s both the movies.

However, here comes latest update on none of these movies are going to grace theaters in December month. ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ is most probably looking for January 15 that is Pongal season to stay in battle field against Junior NTR ‘Nannaku Prematho’ and Balakrishna ‘Dictator.’

Starring Nagarjuna in dual roles, this film is debut directorial for Kalyan Krishna while Ramya Krishna and Lavanya Tripathi are to play the female leads. Meanwhile, we might have to wait for official announcement on audio launch of this flick too. Good news is, ‘SGS’ also has an horror, thrill element attached to it.

It’s a rarity in recent times in Telugu film industry. Young hero Nara Rohit has achieved this rare feat of shooting for two of his films simultaneously day and night in two shifts. Since both of his films are being shot in Ramoji Film City simultaneously, Rohit is shuttling the sets.

On one hand, Rohit is shooting for his upcoming film “Raja Cheyyi Vesthe” from 6 AM to 6 PM in RFC and on other hand, he is shooting for his up next film “Savitri” from 6 PM to 6 AM the next day. Though Rohit is taking minor breaks between the shots, Rohit’s hard working attitude has become discussion in the film circles.

While Raja Cheyyi Vesthe is being directed by newcomer Pradeep and produced by Sai Korrapati, Savitri is directed by Pavan Sadineni (of Prema Ishq Kaadhal). Rohit has allotted first half of day to former and later half to the latter one. Earlier, senior heroes like Superstar Krishna, senior NTR have worked hard like this. Many are now praising Rohit’s dedication, commitment to his projects. Great going Rohit.

After ‘Manam,’ there would have been a definite dream for young hero Akkineni Akhil to share the screen one more time with dad Nagarjuna. He might have never dreamt of enjoying such blessing with the very first heroic adventure ‘Akhil.’ The cameo of Nagarjuna in ‘Akhil’ song ‘Akkineni Akkineni’ dancing on ‘Kanne Pettaro’ tune has been a special moment for Fans too.

In fact, Akhil also enjoyed it to the core. ‘What an experience this was for me? Thank you dad for making the song so special,’ Akhil took special concern in thanking his father. Like Akhil, even Nagarjuna was so happy to recollect the memories of ‘Hello Brother’ while dancing on this song.

‘It was the exact time with ‘Hello Brother’ got super hit talk and Akhil was also born. This film stood as positive sentiment for me in many ways. It’s good for me to dance on ‘Akhil’ song so that I re-collected all of my old memories,’ Nagarjuna explained about nostalgic moments behind ‘Akhil’ cameo.

Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee had completed its run at the box office. The movie had amassed about 38 Crore in its full run making it one of the bigest disasters released this year. Mega fans could not digest the fact it could not even reach the bare minimum 40 Crore share mark despite having a comeback cameo by Megastar Chiranjeevi.

Further more this failure comes after the market expansion post Baahubali. The movie has got special midnight shows and hiked prices in some areas. But all this could not help the film.

While Vishnu himself will be the main hero, Raj Tharun will be seen in an important yet crucial character as second lead. Off late, Vishnu suffered a defeat with ‘Dynamite’ remained choosy.

G Nageswara Reddy happens to be most fun loving director who earlier delivered hit ‘Denikaina Ready’ for Vishnu and is currently working on ‘Aataadukundam Raa’ with Sushant as hero. The untitled Vishnu, Raj Tharun and Nageswara Reddy movie will take off early in next year.

Of late, all her films had flopped at the box office in Tollywood and in Tamil.So, goes without saying, Sam is lagging vis-a-vis her competitors. Well, like all who are still in the race, Samantha has now decided to put her media contacts to good use.

She has a couple of ‘friends’ in English publications both in Telugu and Tamil. And she is getting them to write positive stories about her. Though she was the top actress till about last year, Anushka, Shruti Haasan and Nayanatara in Tamil are giving her good competition. To avoid clash with each other movies, the makers of three upcoming movies have come forward to avoid direct fight among them and release their movies with a certain gap.Producers Prasad V Potluri and Radha Mohan along with Kona Venkat have come an understanding that that their three movies should have at least a week gap between their releases.

Hence, Anushka starrer PVP’s production Size Zero will release on November 27th as announced earlier. Size Zero is going to release in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously. Kona Venkat presented Nikhil starrer Sankarabharanam will be releasing a week after Size Zero hits the screens. The movie is confirmed for December 4th release worldwide. As per the understanding, Ravi Teja’s Bengal Tiger is pushed to December 10th to avoid direct clash with Anushka’s and Nikhil’s movies. Bengal Tiger was postponed twice already and has now been pushed further.

Not to disturbs one another’s business, producers of Bengal Tiger, Shankarabaranam and Size Zero have now come to an understanding that they will space out their films properly. So, Size Zero will release on Nov 27th, Shankarabaranam on Dec 4th and Bengal Tiger on 10th as per their plan. That’s good. But is this a good move for industry?

If all these big movies plan like One movie per week, then we will be seeing only 50 movies in a year. When nearly 200 films are being made to release in Telugu industry, on what equation this spacing really helps out is the question. In a minimum town, there are 8 theatres at least.

So, these kind of Size Zeroes and Shankarabaranams won’t be releasing in all the number of theatres but only in 1 or 2 theatres. In that case, what’s the problem if they release together? Except the fact that they may not get prime time everyday on TV channels to promote their films, there is nothing to lose if released collectively or separately.

If more films are released every week, then the percentage of audiences watching movies will shoot up. Otherwise, if people are spoon-fed with only 1 movie in 1 week kind of agenda, they may completely ignore movies and depend on TVs and other entertainment. If movie-watchers percentage is killed, then first the trade circuit, buyers and eventually Film Industry will get killed.
