Copyrights issue for Nagarjuna’s next!

Nagarjuna and Karthi’s bilingual film in the direction of Vamshi Paidipalli is in a deep trouble now. The movie which was in shoot, was based on a French film, The untouchables. However recently Karan Johar had purchased the remake rights of the film and is likely to serve a copyrights notice to the makers.

The makers of the bilingual films are mulling on the options of dragging themselves out of this mess. Since they have already started shooting, they are likely to arrive at a compromise with Karan Johar paying a hefty fine.

Nagarjuna will be seen as a patient suffering from a deadly disease while Karthi will be his care taker. The film is having music by Gopi Sundar of Ustaad hotel. Potluri Vara Prasad is producing the film under his PVP Cinemas banner.

Srimanthudu’s Sensational business in Karnataka

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu Karnataka rights fetch a bomb for the makers. Like never before for a Mahesh Babu film, a new party, Srinivas paid a whopping 6.03 Crore for the Karnataka rights. Earlier the highest for Mahesh Babu in this region is 5 Crore including prints and publicity for Aagadu.

Srimanthudu shooting is expected to be complete in this week itself. The audio release event is planned on June 27th at Shilpa Kala Vedhika. Already the post production works are happening simultaneously. The first look teaser of the film which released recently had set high expectations on the movie.

As of now the makers are hell bent on July 17th release which means they are ready to have a clash with Baahubali, the most awaited movie of the year. The makers are not interested in foregoing the date since there is a holiday weekend due to Ramzan holiday on which they are hoping to cash in.

However analysts were firm that the clash will not take place and one movie will get postponed for sure as such the clash is detrimental to the interests of both the films.

Reshoots for Soggade Chinni Nayana!

Nagarjuna who is known to encourage new talent, gave a chance to a debutant, Kalyan Krishna with Soggade Chinni Nayana. Some portions of the movie are already canned but now it is said that the movie did not turn up well.

Nagarjuna who recently saw few rushes of the film asked for some reshoots. He even brought a senior writer on board and is reworking on the screenplay and dialogues of the film. Soggade Chinni Nayana will be back on track only after the changes are finalized.

Nagarjuna is simultaneously shooting for Soggade Chinni Nayana and a bilingual film with Karthi simultaneously. Nagarjuna bagged a very precious hit with Manam after a long time and so he is very careful in his career going further since his retirement is nearing.

And so he is not taking any chances with Soggade Chinni Nayana. Nagarjuna himself is producing the film under his Annapurna Studios banner.

Baahubali applies for Censor slot

The makers of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali had applied for a censor slot with Regional Censor Board in Hyderabad. The Censor Board will now have to allot a slot for scrutinizing the film and then awarding the censor certificate. Baahubali is slated for July 10th release.

Currently the post production works are going on. Rajamouli is personally supervising the VFX work which is happening in various companies across the globe. Baahubali is the biggest costliest film ever made on Telugu Screen.

Three years of hard work had gone in to the project and the movie is already creating never before seen records in Telugu film trade. Baahubali is expected to have a simultaneous release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages.

Like never before a Telugu film, Baahubali managed to make good buzz across the nation and even in international media. The makers are also planning an international release after the release of the second part.

ACB Serves Notice to Another TDP MLA

The sensational note-for-vote case in Telangana is taking many turns and twists and haunting the Telugu Desam Party to the core. The latest is that the Telangana Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has served notices to another Telangana TDP MLA. Sathupalli TP MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah were served notices by ACB on Tuesday night and the ACB sleuths asked him to appear for the interrogation.

It’s learnt that the notices were served under CRPC section 160. The ACB officials have visited Sandra Venkata Veeraiah’s quarters (Quarter 208) in Hyderguda. However, Sandra wasn’t present when the ACB officials came. He was asked to appear before the agency.

Not long ago (8 days ago), Sandra had claimed that he was getting blackmail calls from TRS. He alleged, “I’ve been getting threatening calls from TRS. They’re blackmailing to join TRS within three days else threatening of dire consequences. At first, they have sent mediators to my house. When I refused to take their offer and didn’t budge to their proposal, they’re resorting to these cheap techniques now.”

AP to Lodge Case Against That Media House

According to grapevine, the government of Andhra Pradesh is seriously contemplating to lodge case against a leading tabloid. AP government is toying with the idea to serve defamation notice on the tabloid following its news report that Chandrababu would quit his post if the Telangana ACB names him in the supplementary FIR.

The tabloid has reported that Chandrababu Naidu had made his plans to quit the post if an FIR is filed against him and he would make Union Minister P Ashok Gajapathi Raju as the CM who is loyalist and able administrator. As the report gone viral, AP government wants to take action against the media publication.

Reacting to the news report, TDP spokesperson Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu quashed it as baseless and ruled out any such “need” for an “alternative arrangement” in case Telangana ACB files FIR against AP CM. Communications’ Officer to AP CM, Parakala Prabhakar, called it as “cheap imagination” and further refused to comment on the report.

‘2 IPS, 1 IAS, 2 T-leaders Will Be Arrested In Few Hours’

Nobody will forget the dramatic line which KCR told his MLAs just a few hours before the arrest of Revanth Reddy. KCR reportedly said, “You will get to hear a sensational news in an hour”. Now, the T-TDP leader too has announced something similar in a press meet as a counter to Telangana government’s moves to corner AP CM Chandrababu.

Kothakota Dayakar Reddy, the prominent TDP leader from the Telangana region said in a press meet that 2 IPS officers, 1 IAS officer and 2 high profile senior leaders from Telangana wo played a key role in the phone tapping case will be arrested in just a few hours. The senior TDP leader also said that all the required evidences are ready and the arrests will be made any time now.

The cash for vote scandal and the phone tapping row have resulted in a murky war between the governments of both the Telugu states. Both the CMs have resorted to a war of words and even several bureaucrats and administrative authorities are stuck in this infamous war.

Flash: 48 hours for a Political Sensational Moment

Amidst the high tensed political situation in both the Telugu states, the leaders of Telangana TDP foretold the future in the note for vote scam. The T-TDP leader Kothakota Dayakar Reddy said that there would be a sensational moment in 48 hours. He said that the phone tapping investigation is done and the culprits are caught.

Dayakar Reddy said that there are IPS, IAS officers and another “very important person” involved in this case and the news is confirmed. He further said that they will be jailed in 48 hours and this will be a sensation. Dayakar Rao said that the Telangana Government is unnecessarily pulling Chandrababu into the case. He alleged that KCR is spinning a new story to disturb the peace of the people.

CBN received unexpected support from Undavalli

Former Parliament member from Rajahmundry Undavalli Arun Kumar came into the scene and forwarded made his comments on Section 8 of the Telangana bill and on Phone tapping. Undavalli argued valid points to oppose Telangana bill when the moment in peak. On one side Congress and YSRCP leaders in AP were attacked AP Chief Minister CBN on phone tapping and demand for resignation and arrest but Undavalli Arun Kumar made his comment against to them.

Participating in one discussion in TV Channel, Undavalli said that nothing will happen to CBN in Vote to note case. Even he received notices from ACB, case has not strong base to retain legally in the court. Undavalli feel sorry and said that CBN needlessly worried on this case. He feels that CBN didn’t talk any illegal point with the conversation with Stefenson.

Undavalli has thankful to CBN for raising Section (8) of the Telangana bill. There are many loopholes in the section. Undavalli said that every point in the bill drafted as per wishes of KCR at that time. He criticized that KCR agreed for Section (8) at that time now he did not accepted. He predicts danger to KCR if Telangana Government was really did phone tapping of AP IAS and IPS Officers.

Gopala Gopala Actor Surrenders Rs 1.2 Crore to ED

Noted Bollywood actor and Trinamool Congress MP Mithun on Tuesday surrendered to Enforcement Directorate (ED) an amount of about Rs 1.2 crore that he had received from scam-hit Saradha group of companies for being its brand ambassador. The actor had done so to back his claim to investigators that his association with Saradha Group was “purely professional” and that he had no intentions of cheating or duping anyone.

Mithun had also promised he would deposit the amount of Rs 1.2 crore he had received from Saradha Group so that it may be finally restored to the depositors who were allegedly cheated in the scam.

Mithun shot to fame in Telugu film industry as he played pivotal role in Pawan Kalyan-Venkatesh starrer Gopala Gopala. He will also be seen in upcoming Telugu movie Malupu which stars Aadhi Pinisetty. Mithun’s kind gesture of returning Rs 1.2 Crore has earned appreciation from various sections. Not many would think of returning the fee they receive. Mithun definitely stood as good example by showcasing his big heart.

Rudhrama Devi once again Postponed!

Gunasekhar’s dream project, Rudhrama Devi which was stated for June 26th release is now said to be postponed once again. There is no official confirmation regarding this but sources close to Rudhrama Devi say that the postponement is confirmed.

The poor quality trailer and unimpressive audio let down the film totally. Poor Business had prompted several postponements for the movie. Rudramma Devi is said to be India’s historical stereoscopic 3D film in which Anushka will play the title role while Rana will play the role of Chalukya Veerabhadrudu, the prince of Nidavardhyapuram (Present Nidadavole).

Allu Arjun is roped in to the project for the role of Gona Ganna Reddy to increase some hype. Catherine Tresa will pair up with Allu Arjun in the role of Anamika Devi. Guna himself is producing the movie and had roped in some top class technicians on to the project. Maestro Ilayaraja is the music composer. Thota Tharani has erected all the sets for this historical film.
