The latest developments in the cash-for-vote case has rocked the both Telugu-speaking states on Tuesday. As the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) had submitted the alleged evidences of the audio tapes, video recordings to the Forensic Lab, the strong reports have it that ACB might serve notice to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu on the issue anytime. It’s suspected that Naidu would be invited to give his voice test to  as his purported conversation with nominated Indo-Anglian community MLA Elvis Stephenson was leaked.

Reacting to these developments, AP ministers are breathing fire on the Telanagana government. Strongly retaliating to TRS’ claims that Naidu would be put behind the bars, AP Agricultural Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao lashed out at Telangana CM KCR. “The evidences submitted by Telangana ACB won’t stand in the court of law. They’re weak. Chandrababu Naidu will come out clean and stand vindicate,” said Prathipati.

In blistering attack against TRS government, Prathipati stated, “It will be no wonder if KCR will lose his CM post in the episode. He’s facing serious charges of phone tapping of a Chief Minister. We’ll not leave the issue and will fight tooth and nail.”

All you need to spend is just 2-minutes to satisfy the hunger pangs with Maggi Noodles. But for Nestle India to recall noodles from stores across the country and destroy them as per the orders of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), it costs the company at least Rs 320 crore and several working days.

Nestle India informed Bombay Stock Exchange that the value of stock available in the market is Rs 210 crore and Materials in the factories and distribution centres were worth any where around Rs 110 crore.

Until now, Nestle India has brought back 11,483 tonnes of Maggi noodles from its distributors. On June 9th, The company began the destruction process and just 169 tonnes have been destroyed till date. It hired furnaces (enclosed structure where materials can be heated at high temperatures) of few Cement Manufacturers for the carrying out the destruction exercise.

Nestle India have altogether 38 Distribution Centres, 1,400 distributors and 3.5 million retailers across the country. It would actually take not less than 40 days to complete the destruction exercise involving 27,420 tonnes of noodles as the capacity of five furnaces used by Nestle for the process is just 700 tonnes. Shortage of labour could only stretch the whole process further.

Taking the battle between the Chief Ministers of two neighbour states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, to the new high, the leaders of AP are making serious statements. “If necessary, we will set up AP police stations in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad is the common capital for both states. According to the AP Reorganisation Act 2014, law and order should be maintained under the purview of governor. After tapping of phones of our CM, other politicians, we lost confidence on the Telangana police and officials,” said Labour & Employment minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu.

Atchannaidu went further and stated, “We have all the necessary evidences to prove that Telangana government tapped our phone conversations. The Telangana government underestimated our strengths. It has been testing our patience for a while. We’re going to fight out at their discrepancies.”

Meanwhile, the Deputy General of Police of Andhra Pradesh Ramudu has met the joint Governor ESL Narasimhan and told him that AP police would take care of the protection of AP politicians staying in the common capital. CS of AP and other officials will be demanding the governor to impose Section 8 of the AP Reorganisation Act.

With the battle between the two governments escalating and Centre maintaining stoic silence on the issue, political analysts are keeping their fingers crossed in the matter.

TDP to merge in to BJP?

Share

bjp2

Amid the Cash for Vote and Phone Tapping issues, lot of rumours are cropping up in media over Andhra Pradesh government. One section of media today published news that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will step down and Ashok Gajapathi Raju who is currently the Union Civil Aviation Minister will take his place.

Some highly placed sources of APHerald.com in BJP tells us that the Central government do not want to interfere in this issue. They want both TRS and TDP to fight and the party wants to film the political vacuum in the state where one of them is eliminated. On the other side, one section of BJP tells us that Modi and Amit Shah wants KCR to corner Chandrababu Naidu as much as possible in this case.

Modi will interfere only when the situations go totally out of hand for Chandrababu and TDP. When the AP CM is desperate for help, Modi will come to his rescue only on one condition that Telugu Desam Party should be merged in to BJP. In that way, BJP is planning to grow in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as both the states fight each other. We will have to see how this finally ends up!
