It’s Good To Leave Aishwarya Rai !
Whenever a Telugu film scores big hit, definitely our Bollywood counterparts are eyeing on the remake it. And sometimes hit Hindi movies also get remade in same way. Recently we have seen the likes of Kahani (Anamika in Telugu) and Oh My God (Gopala Gopala) remade in Telugu, while some scored hits others flopped.
All eyes are now set on the latest movie of Aishwarya Rai Bachhan. Though she won’t accept, “Jazbaa” is her comeback movie after a long hiatus post her daughter’s birth. After the trailer got released, expectations on Jazbaa just got doubled. She is portraying the role of a lawyer whose daughter gets kidnapped by a mafia such that she will defend a terrorist. Will this movie get remade in Telugu like an Anamika? Or in other south languages like a Delhi Belly?
Probably its better to leave Aishwarya Rai without remaking. With many remakes going haywire, business wise it won’t excite any. And selecting a heroine for that role would be another question. Apart from Anushka and Nayantara, who else could reprise that role which needs matured looks? As Aish is having good market down South, being a South starlet in her early days, maybe makers will directly release dubbed version here too.
Chiru’s Role In Bruce Lee Revealed ?
According to inside sources, the role of Mega Star Chiranjeevi in Ram Charan-starrer Bruce Lee has been revealed. Going by it, Chiru saves Ram Charan’s love interest Rakul Preet in the film. We hear that there is a crucial scene in the film where antagonists kidnap both Charan’s father (played by Rao Ramesh) and his romantic interest (Rakul Preet Singh) at same time and keep them at two different locations throwing a challenge to the protagonist whom he chooses.
At this juncture, Charan would be seen caught in two minds and unable to decide to save whom – his father or lover. Apparently at this portion, Mega Star Chiranjeevi comes into the scene and saves Rakul Preet while Ram Charan goes and saves his reel father Rao Ramesh.
It’s common knowledge that Chiranjeevi is playing a significant cameo in the film. Chiru will be seen doing few action scenes in an attempt to save Rakul and this is going to be one of the key highlights of the film. Chiru will soon be joining the shoot of the film and it’s buzzed that he will be part of the shoot for 3 days. Srinu Vaitla, who earlier directed Chiru in Andarivaadu a decade ago, is said to be preparing himself to direct Chiru again.
Mayuri Movie Review – 3.25/5
Ashwin Saravanan made debut as director with Tamil film Maya dubbed into Telugu as Mayuri. This film features Nayanthara in the lead role and had a simultaneous release in Telugu along with the Tamil version.
Story:
Mayuri (Nayanthara) is a single mom and a struggling actress. She is facing far too many financial troubles and decides to watch a horror film called Cheekati as the director throws a challenge. He says that he would pay 5 lakh rupees if anyone watches his film without showing the signs of fear. Mayuri’s life entirely changes after watching the movie.
Performances:
Nayanthara is a very fine actress and her talent is at full display in this film where she has excelled in getting into the skin of the character. Her pain, her fear and love everything can be felt in her brilliant performance. Aari is good as the male lead. Other actors are relatively new to us but everyone has done justice to their part.
Technicalities:
Ashwin Saravanan comes up with a very unique idea. An otherwise ordinary story proved to be something special with his screenplay. Direction is fantastic right from the start to end. Director never hit a wrong note in handling the film. He is a talent to watch out for. Ashwin will join the likes of talented young directors that have made significant impact on Tamil cinema.
There are hardly any songs in this film. Background music is terrific. Yohaan has done a very good job in enhancing the spookiness. Cinematography is equally brilliant. Editing is a class apart. Production design is too good. One of the best production designs you would get to see in Indian Cinema.

Analysis:
Mayuri is a genuine horror film that targets to scare you in each and every way. Even the toughest will be put to test with this film that has many spooky moments. If a horror film’s success lies in scaring the audience, Mayuri comes out in flying colors in doing so. This film is not for weak hearts. Director engages the audience by leaving some unconnected dots.
Mayuri is narrated in a non linear fashion that could be taxing on the minds of the viewers. It provides enough jump scares and terrifying moments that will leave a lasting impression on the audience. Film gets a bit confusing while the real story behind the ghost is revealed. First half is excellent and second half falls short in comparison. Despite the shortcomings and few holes in the script, Mayuri delivers more than we expect out of it.
Few scenes are unnecessarily stretched and there are few drags here and there. It would have been crisper had the runtime is cut short by ten to fifteen minutes. Nevertheless Mayuri works due to the technical finesse and a well written script. Nayanthara adds value to the film with her flawless performance. Mayuri may not appeal to each and everyone but it will be applauded by the genuine horror movie fans. For them it is a movie that shouldn’t be missed.

Rakul Preet Singh is fully exhausted
Rakul Preet Singh is currently the most sought heroine in Telugu film industry. However everything comes with a price they say. It is also the case with Rakul now. She currently has three very high profile projects in her kitty – Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee, NTR’s Nannaku Prematho and Allu Arjun’s Sarainodu (Working title).
The actress just completed her part in the ongoing London schedule of Nannaku Prematho and came back to Hyderabad. She will be joining the team of Bruce Lee now and will finish her left over portions of the film. After Bruce Lee completion, she will have to fly to Spain for the next schedule of Nannaku Prematho.
Nannaku Prematho is expected to complete by November and from then she will solely focus on Sarainodu. Since the actress is busy Boyapati Srinu is completing the portions not involving the heroine first. Owing to these busy schedules, Rakul also had to let go Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam
Nagarjuna plans Shiva Sequel
If the buzz in Filmnagar is to be believed, Nagarjuna is planning a sequel of his classical blockbuster, Shiva. The movie then has Nagarjuna and his wife Amala playing the lead role. The sequel will also have the same pair.
As Shiva-2 happens after 25 years of Shiva, the couple will have two sons. If everything goes as per plan, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil will play the roles. So unlike Shiva which is an action entertainer, Shiva-2 will be a family oriented film.
Ram Gopal Varma who made his debut with Shiva, a decade ago remade it as Shiva-2006 but this Sequel project will be interesting. We are not sure if Ramu will wield megaphone for the sequel project as well.
Priyamani reveals marriage plans!
It is quite common that actress do settle down with marriage once they pass their prime. It is also the case with Priyamani, she openly admitted that she is in a relationship with Mumbai based businessman Mushtufa Raja.
The actress now announced that their marriage will happen sometime in 2016 and both of them prefer to make it very simple. When asked about career after marriage, she replied positive.
“It’s all up to the industry. We will probably settle down in Mumbai. If offers come my way after marriage, I will definitely act”, said Priyamani in a media interview very recently.
Soggade Chinni Nayana Final schedule underway!
Akkineni Nagarjuna’s upcoming film, Soggade Chinni Nayana is nearing completion. The last schedule of the movie is currently going on in Mysore. The schedule is likely to end in a week’s time.
The post production works are already going on. Even though the first copy will be ready by October end. They are planning to release the film only in December to maintain good gap from Akhil and Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo.
The recently released first look teaser had garnered extraordinary response from the audience. Nagarjuna will be seen in a dual role after a long time. This is the first time he will be seen as father and son in a film.
Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’s extraordinary run in USA!
Nani’s blockbuster, Bhale Bhale Magadivoy is having a dream run at the box office not only in India but also in the overseas. The movie had a sensational third weekend at the box office.
Even in USA, the movie is pretty strong. On par and better than many star films, the movie is being screened in 51 screens in USA. Our readers are already aware that the movie already crossed one million dollars gross there.
It is interesting to note that the movie had recovered its budget just from the first week share in USA. The movie by the end of its run will end up as one of the most profitable ventures of this year.
Akhil Introduction song begins!
The shooting of the Introduction song in Akhil Akkineni’s debut movie, Akhil began today in Hyderabad. They have erected five huge sets in Annapurna 7 acres Studio.
The entire movie shoot will be complete by the end of this shoot. On the other side, elaborate arrangements are being made for the audio release event day after tomorrow.
The movie is all ready for grand release on 22nd October as Dussehra Special. The movie is likely to clash with Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee for the festival season.
Nagarjuna – Karthi multistarrer titled Oopiri !
The first look poster of King Nagarjuna and Tamil actor Karthi’s bilingual movie was released this afternoon. The movie which is the remake of French film, Untouchables is titled Oopiri in Telugu and Thozha in Tamil.
The film comes with a tagline, Celebration of Life. Nagarjuna is seen as patient and Karthi as his caretaker. The initial response for the first look poster is too goo. The last schedule of the movie will begin this month end.
The makers are planning Sankranthi 2016 release for the movie. Yevadu fame Vamshi Paidipalli is wielding megaphone for this film. Tamannah is playing the female lead while Anushka will be seen in a little cameo. Gopi Sunder is the music composer.
