Super Star Kills Mediation Business
In any business mediators mint more money than the investors. This trend is there in film industry too. Few corporate companies are buying outright theatrical rights of star heroes films for fancy amounts and selling them to local distributors with big margins. Bollywood baadshah Shah Rukh Khan has decided to kill the trend.
SRK didn’t give his upcoming film Dilwale theatrical rights to any corporate companies. He sold it directly to distributors and collected approximately Rs 130 cr from Indian theatrical. He should have easily recovered 250 Cr by selling all rights. And this 130 Cr is MG. If SRK had sold the rights to any third party, he wouldn’t have bagged 70% of the money and more importantly he signed the deal on MG (Minimum Guarantee) basis.
In fact, Shah Rukh has played key role in Indian cinema extending trade in overseas, branding and satellite. Now, he took another initiation that will help producers to conquer additional earnings. This is indeed handy for distributors too.
Interim, Dilwale co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan and directed by Rohit Shetty is scheduled for December 18th release.
Kidneys On Sale For Iphone 6S
Apple is a most growing corporation in the world and iPhone revenue is bigger than any other tech companies, beating HP, Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, Google etc. People do crazy things to get their hands on latest smart phones. But, two persons from China went to extreme lengths to acquire Apple iPhone 6s. They attempted to sell their kidneys in order to raise cash for smart phone.
The two friends from China’s Jiangsu province, Huang and Wu found an illegal agent online offering to buy the kidneys. A medical examination was reportedly scheduled for a hospital in Nanjing on 12 September; however, the agent did not turn up. They then reconsidered selling their organs. Wu suggested Huang to stop the plan but the latter did not pay attention to his friend’s words. In the awkward condition, Wu then approached the police. However, Huang is absconding.
It is not the first time reports have emerged of people keen to sell their internal organs in order to get hold of the latest Apple device. In 2012, five people were arrested in southern China in connection with illegal trade of kidneys.
One year later, when the iPhone 5 was released in China, a couple was charged with human trafficking after allegedly selling three of their newborn babies to help pay for the smart phone. Following the launch of iPhone 6 last year, a Chinese student attempted to rent out his girlfriend in order to pay for the must-have Apple smart phone.
Intense Look: Rana In Rudhramadevi
Handsome hunk Rana Daggubati who enthralled performing astonishing stunts in war-based film Baahubali is ready to engross audience in historical drama Rudhramadevi. Rana’s look in the film was already unveiled several times; however this intense look in the new poster is a stunner. He is looking as powerful as Bhallaladeva in Baahubali.
Holding a sword in hand, Rana appears like a real warrior king. His hand is wounded and blood is dipping. The intense in eye is a killer. Costumes designed by the ace designer Neeta Lulla are apposite. The background theme reminds of epic war in Mahabharat. Rudhramadevi is due for release on October 9th.
Nitin’s Views On Pawan, Charan & Kalyan
Young hero Nitin is gearing up to theatres with “Courier Boy Kalyan” this Friday. On this occassion he shared quite interesting stuff with media today. Probably, no interview of Nitin will not be done until he speaks about Pawan Kalyan, his favourite hero.
On Pawan: “Pawan is not attending Akhil’s Akhil audio launch. We’ve not yet invited him. I don’t know if he could make it to that day. If at all there is any chance to work with Pawan, I’ll grab it under any cost. Will stop all my films and produce it”
On Charan: “We’re not clashing with his ‘Bruce Lee’. Akhil is coming a week later of Bruce Lee. That gap is enough to amass revenues. Every film has their own set of revenues, there is no truth in saying one eats another“.
On Kalyan, we mean Courier Boy Kalyan: “Despite the fact that the film got delayed by 2 years, the content looks fresh. All these scenes are innovative and engaging. You’ll not see a different me, but respect for me gets multi-fold after this film“.
Shruti Haasan Hard Hitting In 3 Woods
After exhibiting her music skills, sultry siren Shruti Haasan made her acting debut with a Bollywood film Luck. Neither the film thrived at box office, nor did she get any recognition. Her second Hindi film Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji was also a disaster. Likewise, Shruti’s Tollywood and Kollywood launch pad films Anaganaga O Dheerudu and 7aum Arivu were also flops. Shruti was then called as iron leg by all the industries owing to her track record.
Fast forward to this year, Shruti is now considered as luckiest charm in all woods. She is most sought after actresses in Tollywood and Kollywood and is slowly getting recognition in Bollywood. The starlet who got first break with Gabbar Singh is enjoying top heroine slot in Telugu. Her last outing Srimanthudu is ending as second biggest grosser in Tollywood.
Coming to Kollywood, she is leading lady in much awaited film Puli starring Vijay and has bagful projects alongside top heroes there. Her last Tamil release Poojai (Pooja in Telugu) was an above average grosser. In Bollywood, Shruti scored three hits in 2 years time with D-Day, Gabbar Is Back and Welcome Back.
Very few South heroines made their mark in Bollywood and Shruti Haasan is one among them. The recent success of Welcome Back brought her eminence in Bollywood. Although she is getting many offers, Shruti is choosy. So, the doting daughter of Kamal Haasan is hard hitting in three woods. Great going gal!
