Sunny Leone’s Condom Ad Will Increase Rapes
Ever since she stepped on Indian soil to act in Bollywood, popular adult film star Sunny Leone has been facing the wrath of politicians and woman’s organizations. After a series of police cases on obscenity charges and receiving flak for her erotic Bollywood thrillers, Sunny found herself at the receiving end once again.
Accusing Sunny of inciting rapes in India now is the Communist Party of India leader Atul Kumar Anjan. Speaking at a rally in Uttar Pradesh yesterday, the left leader said, “There is a woman Sunny Leone. She has worked in many nude films. There is an ad in which she’s lying down and one man is coming to her. It’s a condom ad. If they are shown everywhere on TV and newspapers, rape incidents will increase.”
The leader further said that he once watched porn for 2 minutes and immediately vomited. “They destroy sensibilities and develop sexuality,” said the leader talking about Sunny Leone’s condom ad. It is high time the leaders stop targeting Sunny Leone for their failures and realize that they are regulatory bodies like censor board and Advertising Standards Council of India to keep the offensive content in check.
Bunny Turns Designer For Mumbai Apartment
Already a bunch of Telugu actors like Ram Charan and Rana Daggubati own couple of apartments in the posh suburbans of Mumbai city as these actors want to maintain close ties with Bollywood counterparts. Treading on the same lines, even Stylish Star Allu Arjun has also joined the league by buying a simple 2BHK apartment in the Bollywood capital.
Whether he will venture into Bollywood or not, Bunny has decided to design the interiors of his own apartment. Taking help from art-department workers in Mumbai, he has done the interiors in a Mediterranean feel by using tones of brown and grey mostly, while blue and white are splashed at places. From buying antiques to paintings, every single piece on the wall is Bunny’s personal taste. His little brother Allu Sirish has shared these pictures and info with a leading media house.
Maybe like Bollywood’s star wives Gauri Khan and Suzanne Roshan, who knows, Bunny will also start his own Interior Designing business too.
Koratala to direct Akhil Akkineni?
Akhil Akkineni seem to be very good in planning. He got commercially viable Vinayak for his debut movie, Akhil and now it is said that he is in talks with Koratala Siva who bagged back to back successes in his career with Mirchi and Srimanthudu.
Mirchi was the biggest hit in Prabhas’ career then and now Srimanthudu is the second biggest hit of all time in Telugu film industry only after Baahubali. So the choice seem to be good.
But they said Koratala will be directing NTR’s next which will begin in December, we will have to see how this project will be accommodated. If materialized, Bandla Ganesh will be producing the film.
KCR Steps Back on Cheap Liquor
At last, Telangana CM KCR has bowed down to all round pressure from civil activists, opposition leaders and women organizations. Although the TS government was determined to the introduction of cheap liquor, it backtracked owing to pressure from various corners. Instead, the government decided to create new districts by reorganising the existing 10 districts. TS Cabinet on Wednesday approved the creation of new districts in line with national population average.
The Cabinet, which met after 3 months, took several crucial decisions in the over four-hour long meeting. It decided to spend over Rs 81,000 Crore on Telangana irrigation projects in the next three years. With an aim to utilise Godavari and Krishna waters to the fullest possible extent, it allotted a budget of Rs 25,000 Crore every year starting from 2016-17.
Meanwhile, TS government has decided to hand over TSRTC bus operations to GHMC as the TSRTC in Hyderabad operates over 3800 buses and incurs a loss of Rs 218 Crore per year. GHMC will be taking over bus operations in Hyderabad and GHMC Commissioner will be included in the TSRTC management board, KCR said.
KCR was also quoted as saying on irrigation projects, “If we don’t redesign irrigation projects in Telangana, the state will soon become desert.” On whole, KCR stepping back on cheap liquor has come as a major surprise for many.
Thanks to Volunteers, Hyd Traffic to be Regulated
In what is considered as a good move, Telangana traffic police have come up with an innovative initiative by making citizens part of traffic governance. Hyderabad Traffic police are taking help of 1200 residents of city, of which most of them are senior school students, to regulate traffic during peak hours. As part of the initiative, about 1200 citizens were serving as traffic volunteers in Hyderabad of which daily 200 to 300 would help traffic police during peak hours. All these 1200 citizens were trained by cops in Traffic Training Institute in order to make them professionals.
The move not only cut costs to the government but also brings awareness among students, citizens and inculcate traffic rules among them. Since most of these 1200 citizens are senior school students, they’re usually deployed at School zones in the city where they do their bit during the bell timings for starting/dismissal for the day.
Hyderabad Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Jitender proudly states that they’re nominating citizens as ‘traffic volunteers’. He says that they’re planning to increase the number of ‘traffic volunteers’ and looking to train more at Traffic Training Institute. Involving citizens in the governance has been a huge hit across the world. Let’s hope that it works in Telangana too.
Karimnagar Girl in Guinness Book of Records!
A teenage girl from Karimnagar has done a unique feat and entered into prestigious Guinness Book of World Records. According to reports, a 14-year-old girl from the cit has entered the Guinness Book of Records for her feat of carving 12 idols of Ganesha on an 8 cm-long piece of chalk.
P Madvika carved the idols in 60 seconds flat in the presence of Guinness Book officials in Karimnagar on November 14 last year, and recently received a certificate validating her record.
Elated with joy, her family members corroborated the news to media on Wednesday. Madvika has already entered the Limca Book of Records for this feat earlier. Madvika’s father, who is working as an inspector in Armed Reserve Police, was all smiles as Karimnagar district Superintendent of Police D Joel Davis congratulated her on her feat.
Rana guest role in Saahasame Swaasaga Saagipo!
Rana Daggubati gives a helping hand to Naga Chaitanya for his upcoming film, Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo. The giant is playing a little guest role in the movie according to the sources. The recently released first look teaser has got good response from the audience.
The makers have recently shot the film in Araku and until now more than 60% of the movie shooting is complete. The movie is a bilingual and the Tamil version has Simbu playing the lead role.
Ravindra Reddy is producing the film in Telugu under his Dwaraka Creations banner while Kona Venkat is co-producing it. AR Rahman is scoring the music.
