The Shashtipoorthi celebrations of Megastar Chiranjeevi are getting bigger and grandiose as 22nd August is just a day away. On the 21st, Mega fans from all over the country will be celebrating Chiru’s 60th birthday amidst much fun and euphoria. And on the 22nd, Ram Charan is organizing a lavish birthday bash for his doting dad at a star hotel in Hyderabad.

Ram Charan’s party is only on invitation and for a select celebs from film, political and other spectrum of the society. There is a dress code to attend the do and several programs for enjoyment. Here’s the biggest news. As per the latest buzz, Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan are on the guests list and they said to have confirmed their participation.

Chiru-Amitabh’s friendship dates back to several decades and they both appeared together at several events on numerous occasions. On the other hand, Aamir’s association with the Mega family strengthened ever since he acted in Ghajini, produced by Allu Arvind. If both these Bollywood stars indeed make their presence felt at the birthday bash, no doubt that it will be a memorable sight.

Kannada actor Upendra is a well known face to Tollywood spectators with the films Raa, A, Upendra etc. Nevertheless, he lost Telugu audience adore by doing same kinds of films afterwards. Upendra made his comeback in Telugu with Allu Arjun starrer and Trivikram Srinivas directed Son Of Satyamurthy where he played a powerful role for which the Kannada superstar won applauses. The film regained old glory for Upendra in masses of Telugu states.

However, Upendra botched to utilize the craze. His recent outing Upendra 2, dubbed version of Kannada film Uppi 2, is a biggest test for audience patience owing to complexity in the narration. Moreover, the psychological thriller disturbed Telugu distributors psychologically, provided huge losses.

RS Films bought Upendra 2 rights for 1.08 crores and including printing publicity they shelled out 2 crores overall. The film directed as well as produced by Upendra collected 80 lakhs share and is set to throw out of all the theaters in AP and Nizam on this Friday with new arrivals.

On the other hand, Kannada version Uppi 2 reportedly grossed Rs.35 crores net domestically on the first day and Rs. 55 crores in the first 5 days, becoming the highest grosser in Upendra’s career.

Has mega hero Allu Sirish dated someone in the past and ended up in a bitter breakup? Going by a tweet he posted today, Film Nagar is now curious about this aspiring hero’s love life.

“Happy birthday, my angel. Stay happy and blessed where ever you are..” tweeted Sirish this afternoon. Who is our Gowravam and Kotha Janta star referring to, in this tweet? Pawan scored two blockbusters Gabbar Singh and Attarintiki Daredi after moving to this house. Now, Pawan Kalyan is looking for another house comprising good Vasthu.

Pawan Kalyan has his own house for office space in Jubilee Hills area. He planned of constructing a new house in empty space near the office premises. However, Pawan demolished the construction in the middle owing to Vastu issues, as well as he couldn’t get time to look after the construction owing to busy schedules. Now, Pawan Kalyan is back to hunting a new house. But, it should have good Vasthu. Hope, Pawan finds his desired house shortly.

Lately, Megastar Chiranjeevi announced to cast a heroine who suits his age for 150th film. Other South stars like Venkatesh, Rajinikanth, Ajith, Mohanlal etc are also keen on casting matured actresses. But, the scenario is quite contradictory in Bollywood.

Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan is all set to romance youngest heroine in the industry- Alia Bhatt in his next film to be directed by Gauri Shinde of English Vinglish fame. As a matter of fact, Gauri has a purpose of casting 22 years old Alia opposite 49 years old SRK. After making bang debut with the critically acclaimed and commercially successful English Vinglish, Gauri spent almost couple of years on the new film’s subject for perfection.

The film’s story requires age disparity between the lead pair. Hence, SRK and Alia alliance happened. Red Chillies Entertainment, Dharma Productions and Hope Productions are jointly producing the romantic family entertainer.

Another interesting scenario in Bollywood is the audiences accept heroines romancing heroes younger to them. Vidyabalan – Ali Fazal in Bobby Jasoos, Kareena Kapoor – Arjun Kapoor in Ki And Ka, Rani Mukherjee – Prithviraj in Aiyyaa, Priyanka Chopra – Arjun Kapoor – Ranveer Singh in Gunday are the examples.

It’s really tough for small movies to survive in the shade of big films. Defying these logics and sentiments, small budgeted Cinema Choopista Maava won attention even when Srimanthudu and Baahubali are at large. Sharing his thoughts, hero Raj Tarun revealed that director and dialogues worked heavily in his favour.

‘Mass theme inflicted by director Trinadha Rao and dialogues written by Prasanna have helped the film reach all corners. I’m happy that my second film is such a huge success’, says Raj Tarun. These are the days where young heroes are hiking their remuneration just after scoring one single hit.

What about this young chap from Vizag? ‘I wont sell myself’, pat comes the reply from this hero. ‘I can’t hike my remuneration like that, because I’ve to keep my movie budgets into consideration. Definitely I’m going to be a budgeted hero available for all’, he adds.

Well, that makes Raj Tarun a lovely boy. Because many other stars who got their happy days with a couple of flicks have started charging a bomb and vanished in time.

Director Koratala Siva is on cloud nine for sure. He believes that his village adoption concept is a huge hit with audiences and he wants to do only such motivational commercial films in the near future. But there is a problem here.

Such message oriented stories laced with fragile elements reach the audiences only if big stars do them. Otherwise if Srimanthudu is done with any younger star, or a secondary grade hero, then its reach would be limited and the preaching gets bored. Only if Mahesh rides a cycle, the applause is this way.

So many young stars have steered a bicycle in many of their films but that never influenced audience to buy themselves a pedaling cycle. So, if Koratala doesn’t get a star like Mahesh or Pawan in that case, these type of stories aren’t going to work.

Probably another best example is Trivikram, where his larger than life roles click only with superstars but not with ordinary heroes. That’s the reason our magical writer-director waits for big heroes dates rather making films with youngies, while Nitin is an exception.

Finally the much awaited trailer of Tamil Powerstar Vijay’s ‘Puli’ is here. This film is hyped to be a stunning competitor for ‘Baahubali’ and expected to smash all the South Indian records. However there is not such a scene evident if we have to go by the trailer.

Puli trailer features a punch dialogue from Vijay and many action sequences. Directed by newcomer Chimbudeva, the film has Sridevi as a queen, Hansika as a princess and Sudeep plays the villain. Shruti Haasan is another heroine.

On a whole, the visuals look disappointing because there is no grandeur like Baahubali and Magadheera flashback episode. All those visuals look like a remix of Siddarth’s Anaganana O Dheerudu and Arya’s Varna, while the background art work and costumes give an impression of a video game.

Vijay’s fans are showing their power as the Trailer got nearly 75 thousand hits in just 12 minutes after it is uploaded. But the number of YouTube hits is not the measure of a film’s classic appeal.

Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s next, Merupu is progressing at brisk pace in Hyderabad. The other day a formal pooja was held to mark the beginning of the dubbing works. This morning, the character artists have started dubbing for their characters.

After this schedule in Hyderabad, the team will fly to Thailand for one more major schedule. Chiranjeevi will be seen in a guest role in the film. Ileana was signed in to shake her booty for the item number in the movie.

The title announcement and the first look teaser release will take place on August 22nd as Chiranjeevi’s Birthday Special. The movie is being planned for October 15th release as Dussehra Special.

In this Mass Raja Raviteja starrer that is set for a release tomorrow (Aug 21), Nora Fatehi will be seen shaking her waist and legs for the song ‘dummu repe Kikkuro’. Already this peppy tune composed by Thaman became a stunning hit. Hope the film spells a hat-trick for her by becoming a blockbuster.
