Reactions Vs Collections On Srimanthudu

“Srimanthudu” opened to positive reports and blockbuster talk all over. Unanimously from critics to celebs, everyone gave a 3+ stars rating for the movie. And now, what has to be seen is how these ratings and reactions transform themselves into collections, with nearly 60 crores ‘share’ riding high on the flick from theatrical collections.

Two films have performed quite differently this year, alarming trade pundits too. One happens to be “Temper” and the other one is “S/o Satyamurthy”. Jr NTR’s movie carved by Puri Jagan, was rated with 3.5+ stars and declared a blockbuster on Day 1. However the movie failed to collect the producer’s full investment as it collected only 42+ crores share while it has to recover 50 crores. Coming to “S/o Satyamurthy”, the film is rated 2.75+ stars by critics but audiences liked it and helped it amass nearly 51+ crores.

So, all the ‘reactions’ on the day one haven’t translated exactly into ‘collections’ in these two cases. We have to see what happens in the case of “Srimanthudu” then.

Srimanthudu First day Collections

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu had collected a massive 12.83 Crore share only in the Telugu states on its release day. The movie will end up as the second highest first day figure of all time in Telugu films and first highest in non-Baahubali movies. To a large extent, the movie is helped by the midnight shows and flat rates in some areas, a new trend started with Baahubali.

Samantha Won’t Miss, Shruti A Little

Samantha. Shruti. These are the two names that ring bells in youths these days. While Sam has shot to fame big time, her other Chennai competitor Shruti picked up little later. Surprisingly these two hotties left their lucky Tollywood on a short break as they signed a horde of films in other languages.

Apart from Mahesh’s Brahmotsavam, Samantha is likely to star in Trivikram and Nitin’s upcoming flick in Tollywood, while she will be seeing films like 24, 10 Enradukulla and VIP 2 releasing in Tamil along with another project of Vijay. Coming back to Shruti Haasan, she signed no Telugu movie for the now while there are Bollywood films like Welcome Back, Yaara and Rocky Handsome in her hand along with Baadshaho.

Also she has Puli, Ajith’s 56th flick and another Tamil movie lined up for release. As these two are seen as major competitors in the circuits with nearly half-dozen projects lined up, Samantha would have very frequent Telugu releases as all those films get dubbed into Telugu, but Shruti will be seeing only Puli releasing while Ajith’s flick is unsure.

Even though these hotties are not doing straight Telugu films, they are somehow enthralling their fans here in Telugu states this way. Spread the charm ladies!!

Telugu Music Director Kidnaps Minor Girl

The Tanuku police are on a hunt to nab an amateur Tollywood music director named Saketh Sairam for allegedly kidnapping a minor girl. According to the reports, Saketh, who composed music for a few low budget films like Sontha Vooru and Usko, kidnapped the girl by promising her of singing chances in Tollywood.

Apparently, a person named Subramanyam, who hails from Katrenikona in East Godavari, requested Saketh to introduce his 17-year old daughter to playback signing. On 20th May, Saketh took the girl to Hyderabad without informing her parents on the pretext of offering singing chances in Telugu films.

When the worried parents filed a missing complaint with the Undrajavaram police, the cops traced the girl in Hyderabad and handed her over to her parents. Following the girl’s statement, the police learnt that Saketh took her hostage in Hyderabad, and he has been absconding since the cops traced the girl and even filed a petition for anticipatory bail.

The cops are now mulling over filing a counter petition in the court and are on a hunt to catch Saketh.

Before The World Knows, DSP Knows It

There is an interesting observation made by few film buffs, who are also hardcore fans of music composer Devi Sri Prasad. More than the tunes delivered by him for films, his background score is also equally popular among film lovers. Here are some folks who found an interesting thing about his background score.

Finding is that DSP’s background score for certain films is quite impressive and for few films it is mediocre. Halfway through the film, any film lover would understand that the background scores are not up to the benchmark set by our talented composer himself. And the twist is, those films flopped big time.

Now, film folks say that Devi Sri Prasad knows about the fate of any flick by looking at the first-copy of the film before the whole world knows and he’s not scoring well for the films which he knows that they are flops.

This hypothetical finding may not hold good. Here’s an example. Devi Sri Prasad has scored extra ordinary sound for 1-Nenokkadine film, and the film tanked at box office. Had he delivers the work basing on the output of the film he sees before anyone else, definitely he wouldn’t have given such wonderful background score. So, don’t blame him.

JC gives big shock to TDP

The senior TDP leader JC Diwakar Reddy who is always been in news for his shocking statements now startled the TDP high command with his stern comments. JC confirmed that Centre is not willing to grant Special Status to Andhra Pradesh in near future. He expressed his genuine feelings about not still cheating the innocent people Andhra Pradesh which will not fetch him anything.

He clarified that he is making such a statement after meeting the Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and Home Minister Rajnath Singh who were not keen about declaring the Special status in any time in future as well. He also reminded that he met BJP Chief Amit Shah to accord Special Status and explain about it to Modi, which was not been done!

However, Reddy said that Centre has sympathy on the newly formed state which is not useful in making them grant the Special Status. So, what do you think? In the midst where the TDP leaders are trying to pacify the situation in the state, JC seems to spread fire?

Here’s something interesting and embarrassing that happened during the launch of PHC in Kodangal constituency. As the event was happening in Kodangal constituency, the TDP MLA firebrand leader Revanth Reddy, took his own style and made the atmosphere a chaotic one.

The Telangana Health Minister Laxma Reddy who came down to the event started speaking off not to make any private allegations on the Ministers to which Revanth Reddy was irked and started to revolt on stage itself. The verbal war started off on stage which led to the supporters of both of groups yelling slogans.

As the situation was being deviated much, the police entered the scene and cleared the situation. The Minister then tried to wind up his speech as soon as possible. So, what do you think about this rebellious behaviour of Revanth Reddy?

After hailing Modi’s victory suddenly he started ignoring state BJP leaders. He started promoting himself as the next CM of Tamil Nadu and even met PM Modi in Delhi. He is shocking all saying he will have alliance with party that support total liqour ban. On the eve of PM Modi’s visit on Aug 7th, Captain’s comments are shocking BJP taking them completely.

Kamal Hassan wraps up Cheekati Rajyam at Record Pace!

Universal Hero Kamal Hassan’s Cheekati Rajyam shooting is now completed. The entire shooting was completed in a record 39 working days. The film will now enter in to extensive post production phase.

Strong Buzz emerging from Kollywood is that the movie is a heavily inspired from a French film in which the entire story takes place in one night. The story revolves around a reputed cop and Kamal Hassan will be seen as a cop in this flick.

Interestingly, Kamal had ropped in three action choreographers – Gilles Conseil, Silivain Gabet and Virginie Arnaud to compose the fight sequences of the film. Kamal Hassan’s associate Rajesh is directing the film which is a bilingual made simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. Trisha is the female lead.
