S Radha Krishna (Chinna Babu) who produced Julayi and S/o Satya Murthy is not just a producer, but he has made director Trivikram his business partner too. This is what film industry says if we have to believe the reports coming in.
‘Haarika and Haasini Creations’ is the banner of this producer on which he made movies like Julayi and S/o Satyamurthy. Even the upcoming Nitin-Trivikram film and also another Mahesh Babu movie will be produced by the same banner. Reports have that his production house is nothing but home banner of Trivikram, as he is not charging a penny from Radha Krishna.
They say our magical writer-director is the business partner and takes him share only after the film makes profits. This talented director of Attarintiki Daredi might charge around 7-10 crores, but by this partnership he’s said to be pocketing around 15 crores.
The other day Radhakrishna and Trivikram have jointly issued a ‘Birthday’ poster on the eve of Mahesh Babu’s 40th birthday. Much before any film’s confirmation, no producer will be giving such ads to media. Probably that is the triggering point of this discussion.
Queen Refuses To Accept An Award
Craze for film awards is rampant among film stars and this fascination to grab top film honours is a bit more in Bollywood, where all the top and upcoming stars desperately vie for awards and even take part in numerous award functions throughout the year. However, there are a few exceptions like Aamir Khan, who refuse to accept or attend these award shows.
Latest to join this rare league now is the Bollywood Queen Kangana Ranaut. This National Award winning actress has recently refused to accept the reputed Melbourne International Film Festival’s Best Actress award. Kangana said that she does not believe in such awards and that she will gladly attend the film festival for the screening of her latest blockbuster, Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
Melbourne International Film Festival authorities wanted to honor Kangana for her impeccable performances in Queen and Tanu Weds Manu Returns. However, Kangana politely told them that she does not accept film awards even in India. Kangana, in her decade long career, won the Filmfare for Fashion and National Award for Queen.
Abdul Kalam’s valuable final assets
Former Indian President and Bharat Ratna Abdul Kalam, who earned the affectionate tag ‘People’s President’ from the one billion countrymen, lived a modest life till his last breath. The saint who revolutionized India’s nuclear prowess did not possess any valuable assets of his own even after his five decade long public service and also being the President of India.
Till his final depart, Abdul Kalam did not write any will for his relatives, and especially his elder brother, the 99 year old Mohammad Muthu Meera Lebbai Maraicker. However, all of Kalam’s savings will be handed over to his elder brother. Recently, Kalam’s prized possessions were listed out by his close acquaintances. The findings did shock everyone who could not believe that Kalam lived such an unbelievably simpleton life.
Kalam, throughout his life, never accepted any materialistic gifts from anyone. If only the gift was a book, Kalam would accept it and the rest were returned back politely. And during his tenure as the President of India, all the gifts from the foreign governments were duly transferred to the Indian government’s toshakhana. Even the government’s two-storey bungalow that was allotted to Kalam now lies abandoned.
2,500 books, a wristwatch, six shirts, four trousers, three suits, and a pair of shoes are the final savings and prized possessions of Abdul Kalam. There is no authentic information regarding Kalam’s pension savings. The ‘Missile Man of India’ did not even own a TV set as he was always averse to watching TV, citing that the Idiot Box is nothing but a waste of time. Kalam also did not own a fridge, car or even an AC machine.
These revelations are enough to remind us that such a great human can easily survive such a humble life which also acts as an inspiration to his peers, politicians and even the one billion plus countrymen.
Pawan’s Director Turns To Pornography
He is a talented director who made super hits with the then leading stars of Telugu film industry. His name is Jayanth C Paranji and his super hits include Preminchukudaam Ra, Baavagaru Bagunnaara, Lakshmi Narasimha and Shankardada MBBS. His last Telugu film was “Teenmaar” that starred Pawan Kalyan, and it was a mega flop. After this failure, Jayanth says, “I’m bored of scripting those star-scripts that don’t actually have any storytelling“.
What’s Jayant up to now? After 4 years of break, finally he has found a path which he would love to travel. Rather making those regular star-hero centric films, he’s now banking on subject oriented scripts that don’t fall in commercial-masala category, art films neither. “I’m coming up with the story of a drunkard cop who cracks his whip on child pornography and human trafficking.
It will be as real and rugged”, he says. We hear that Jayanth is filming this movie without any songs, romance or lights-reflectors for the shooting. Only a shoe-string budget will be put into the film, but the content will do the talking.
Tollywood is looking for such welcome change from a long time, as most of our films became 6 songs and 3 fights routine. Hope Jayanth gets his equations right.
Shruti Showing Stars to Producers?
According to grapevine, sultry siren Shruti Haasan is buzzed to be “Tantrum Queen” as she is showing stars to producers and unit people. Apparently while shooting for her recent Telugu film which she shot with ace star, she troubled the production people a lot.
“Whenever director planned combined scenes with her and hero on a particular day, she used to arrive into city on the same day flight giving production people jitters. Production people had to face a lot of difficulty in getting her onto location on time. Unit people used to fear a lot as if anything gets delay, they might have to face the anger of director, hero as the total plan would go awry,” said a source in the know on condition of anonymity.
Source added that it’s not so easy to work with Shruti divulging that she even spent only single day for the movie promotion. Many opine that it’s not fair for daughter of a committed actor like Kamal Haasan to resort to such starry tantrums.
Chandrababu – The Best CM in India
Off late, JC Diwakar Reddy isn’t missing any opportunity to heap praises on AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Earlier, He compared the TDP Supremo with none other than Mahatma Gandhi for working relentlessly to achieve the desired goals such as Pattiseema & Handri Neeva Projects. This Senior Politician have many more good things to say about his party chief.
The Anantapur MP opined AP was able to obtain more funds than other states in the country from centre only because Chandrababu Naidu is a statesman and have maintained good contacts with influential National leaders over the years. ‘In the current circumstances, Chandrababu Naidu is the best Chief Minister in the country,’ he declares.
JC feels Chandrababu Naidu who used to be very aggressive until he lost the power in 2004 has calmed down a bit now. He claims to have never expected Naidu to take up Pattiseema project which is a boon for the drought-hit Rayalseema region. He also reveals the plan of Chandrababu to divert water from Pattiseema project to Krishna barrage and water from Srisailam reservoir to Rayalseema.
Ram Charan back from Bangkok
Mega Power Star Ram Charan and the team of his next under the direction of Srinu Vaitla are now back in Hyderabad after the completion of a schedule in Bangkok. They have canned the climax of the film and some song montages in this schedule.
The next schedule of the movie will begin this week itself in Hyderabad. The film is walking on tight rope to release the film as planned. The makers have already announced that they are coming for Dussehra.
The title announcement and the first look release of the movie are likely to take place on August 22nd as Chiranjeevi’s Birthday Special. Rakul Preet Singh is romancing Charan for the first time. DVV Danayya is lolling out the money bags for this project under his Universal Movies Banner. Thaman is the music composer
Robot-2 script locked
Our readers are aware that Sensational director Shankar is working on the script of the sequel project to his and Rajinikanth’s successful movie, Robot. Shankar had hired popular novelist and screenplay writer B.Jeymohan to help him in penning a solid story.
It is now emerging that Rajini was recently given a narration of the script and he was very much impressed with the way it is shaped out. The superstar reportedly gave a green signal to Shankar.
The preproduction works of the movie will begin very soon and the movie is likely to start rolling from December. On the other side, Rajini will very soon start the shooting of his next project which will be directed by Ranjith Pa. Rajini will wrap up the film before shifting on to Robot-2.
AP Bandh to damage Srimanthudu?
The statewide Bandh call given by Communists tomorrow in Andhra Pradesh may have mixed results for Srimanthudu which is running successfully across the state. The movie’s noon and matinee shows may not be possible in some areas if the bandh is intense.
At the same time as schools and colleges are likely to be closed. The evening and night shows will record good foot falls even on a working day. So the bandh is likely to have mixed effect on the movie. If only the noon shows are effected, it will be a plus for Srimanthudu.
If Matinees are also affected, then it will be a minus for the movie at the box office. All the opposition parties have united for this bandh.
