For her blue-cross and other charity activities, former heroine Amala, Nagarjuna Akkineni’s wife, is always in the news.

Recently this graceful lady has turned to acting when the role offered by Sekhar Kammula in ‘Life Is Beautiful’ impressed her. But the disastrous fate of that flick at box office has surely upset her. When things are going like this, none have noticed that she sizzled in another movie too.

With recently released ‘Hamaari Adhuri Kahaani’, Amala has sizzled on Bollywood screen after a long time. Though her role of a cabaret singer lasts just for 3-4 scenes and with a screen time of less than 10 minutes, it made some sense. Unfortunately this Mohit Suri directorial has bitten dust unlike his previous romantic blockbusters like Ek Villain and Aashiqui 2. As that has a domino effect on Amala’s presence too, none noticed her acts.

Poor Amala, she’s happy for the short role but film’s success would have got more attention for her stint.

Rakul Preet Singh is one of the most sought heroines in Tollywood today. She is at a time acting in two films opposite NTR and Ram Charan. Recently the actress had also increased her remuneration.

However the success seem to have gone in to Rakul’s head and she is unnecessarily poking other heroines. In one of her recent interview, she said, “I am a big fitness freak. Whenever we get some free time, most of the other heroines hit bed and spend their day lazy.

But I always try to spend quality time in gym and improve my shape”. Rakul playing her own trumphet about she being a fitness freak but for her unecessary comments on other heroines, she will definitely be shown in poor light. Off course its not easy to handle the new found stardom.

Director Hari Gopalakrishnan is ready with the third part in the highly successful Tamil action franchise “Singam”. He says “Singam 3” won’t be a standalone film and will have a connection with the first two parts.

“Technically, a sequel should have a connection with the prequel. Some of the recent sequels in Tamil cinema failed to make audiences connect with the prequels because they were standalone films. ‘Singam 3’ won’t fall in that category,” Hari told IANS.

Suriya returns as police officer Duraisingam in “Singam 3”, which will also feature Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles.

“‘Singam 3’ will have a connection with the first two parts in the franchise. This way it becomes easier for the audience to relate with the movie and its characters,” he said.

If all goes well, the team plans to simultaneously shoot the film in Telugu as well.

The regular shooting will start from August.

An old story from Tollywood is that late NTR wanted to act as Alluri Seetarama Raju. That did not happen and Krishna acted in the film which went on to become a big hit at the time.

So the story is that NTR and Krishna had a face off at the time as Krishna did not back off from making Alluri Seetarama Raju.

Cut to present times, there is a similar problem with Bhakta Kannappa right now. It is being said that a similar situation has come up between Krishnam Raju and Manchu Mohan Babu.

It has been reported in the past that Krishnam Raju wanted to make Bhakta Kannappa with Prabhas. Many years ago, he had produced and acted in the film of the same name under the direction of Bapu. So now he wants to make the film with Prabhas.

However, Tanikella Bharani who is a staunch devotee of Siva has a script for the same story and he intends to make it with Sunil.

But the film needs a big budget and it is said that the film has now gone to Manchu Vishnu who wants to make it in association with a Hollywood production house.

Also, since Prabhas has already acted in Baahubali, he wants to stay away from such subjects for some time now. But it is said that he wants to do it for his uncle’s sake. Meanwhile, Krishnam Raju is said to have spoken to Mohan Babu about going ahead with Bhakta Kannappa.

So the latest gossip in Tollywood is that Prabhas would be happiest if Bhakta Kannappa is made with Vishnu.
