Today, when Stylish Star Allu Arjun wished his younger brother on his micro-blogging site, the reply that has come from Sirish gained attention.
“Happy Birthday Siri. My dearest, most sensible friend & brother. Have a greattt day !!!“, said Allu Arjun today. In response, Sirish said, “Thank you Bunny! Bday gift ga ee sari pedda band eh veyyabotunna!!! Hehehe” (Thank you, I’ll be demanding a shocking gift from you this time). Everyone is wondered what is that gift Sirish is demanding for.
We hear that he is asking Bunny to give a nod to a fresh script narrated by some new director. Because Allu Arvind and Bunny have to finalise the script and production-budget for Sirish to start his next. Is this what you’re asking for Sirish? If so, we hope you get your birthday gift soon.
State’s Police get flashy Harley Davidson bikes
VIP protection has gotten more sleek and stylish as the Gujarat police have set an unprecedented record. The state’s police department is all set to give its special patrolling officers nine customized high-end Street-750 Harley Davidson bikes. Each costing 4.32 lakhs, six bikes have already been purchased from a local Harley Davidson dealer.
Gujarat Police’s technical committee has proposed to purchase twenty superbikes, including nice Harley Davidsons. These flashy bikes will be used as the pilots for VIPs during the official summits of Pravas Bharatiya Divas and Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ summit, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Street 750s have a capacity starting from liquid cooled 750 cc to 1000 cc with V-Twin engine capable of 65 Nm torque and can attain 100 kms acceleration in just 6 seconds. Special trainers will be hired to train the policemen to learn using these high-end bikes during the ‘quick response actions’ and also to escort top level dignitaries and senior ministers.
Logo Look – Mahesh’s Brahmotsavam May 30th
Much to anyone’s shock, Superstar Mahesh Babu has now signed a second film on his own banner “G Mahesh Babu Entertainment Pvt Limited”. This film is none other than “Brahmotsavam” which has popular financier PVP producing it.
As the shooting of this film is going to be started from tomorrow, May 31st, on Superstar Krishna’s birthday eve, here comes the poster wishing the senior poster. For the first time, the logo design of “Brahmotsavam” is revealed. For its clean and traditional look, we could assume that director Srikanth Addala is making another riveting family drama like “Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu” with Mahesh.
After this director, composer Mickey J Meyer is also scoring second time for our big hero. Talented cinematographer Ratnavelu is also working second time with Mahesh after 1-Nenokkadine. Tipped to be a complete family entertainer with loads of sentiments and emotions, this film is likely to have Rakul Preet Singh as the lead girl.
What’s Wrong With Kick 2?
For a film that was scheduled to hit cinemas on May 8th, do you think re-recording work will be still pending? Sitting in his lavish sound recording studio in Chennai, talented composer Thaman is right now scoring background music for Raviteja and Surender Reddy’s “Kick 2”.
As Thaman revealed that he is finding the visuals shot of Manoj Paramahamsa awesome and is scoring for the flick quite energetically, one gets a doubt as to what happened to this film from a long time. All these days it is being publicised that the film isn’t finding any right release date.
Earlier the flick got postponed from May 8th to May 14th, but they said that to avoid clash with Balayya’s “Lion”, this Nandamuri Kalyan Ram production stepped back. But it seems like pending post-production work is the real culprit.
Also some insiders shared that post-production is completed long back but as the film got some time to be released, director Surender Reddy asked Thaman to re-work on some parts of the movie. Whatever it maybe, Mass Raja will be missing the high potential summer season for sure. In June and July, we have biggies like Baahubali, Rudramadevi and Srimanthudu lined up.
Reel Talk: Pawan Kalyan Is God
Nithin is simply unable to come out of his hero worship of Pawan Kalyan. Goes without saying apart from people, the heroes also consider him god.
When asked if he will act with Pawan Kalyan, Nithin says he is ready to play even a small role in his film.
It is known that Nithin hadn’t started a film after Chinnadana Nee Kosam, but he has announced that he will do a film soon and that the details will be announced within a week.
He is also producing Akhil’s film and since the film is complete 50 per cent, he says Akhil will be the next superstar.
Nithin who received unconditional support from Pawan’s fans will also get the support of Akkineni fans from now on.
How Does Bubbly Actress Beat The Heat?
Young and bubbly actress Alia Bhatt remains cool in the scorching summer heat by making sure she eats and drinks right.
Giving out some tips for her fans, who hope for skin as radiant as that of the 22-year-old, the “2 States” actress told IANS: “One should drink a lot of water and stay hydrated” to beat the scorching heat in summers.
“I have atleast 5 liters of water a day. I also eat a lot of fruits, it fills me up and gives me energy that I need. I have a lot of nimbu paani (lime water). To keep the body cool, I have sabja seeds (sweet basil seeds) with milk,” added the actress, who will be seen sharing screen space with her mother Soni Razdan for the first time in an ad campaign of Garnier Fructis Oil-In-Cream.
Alia will be seen in the forthcoming film, “Shaandaar”, which is scheduled to release on September 4.
Successful writers changes way for Balayya!
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Dictator was launched on Friday in Ramanaidu Studios. For the first time, famous writers duo – Kona Venkat and Gopimohan are working for a film of Balakrishna. Both the writers are known for their quirky, comedy and punch dialogues. However they seem to have changed their way for Dictator to suit Balayya’s image.
For the first time, they have attempted mass dialogues for Balakrishna. The actor said this dialogue for the opening shot, “Pranam teese bhayam kanna, pranam pose aayudham minna, aa weapone nenu. Dhaani pere dictator”. As many as five writers have working on this film script. The regular shooting of the movie will begin from the first week of June and they are aiming at a possible Sankranthi release.
Srivas who garnered a super success with Loukyam will be wielding megaphone for this project. The script is said to be based on Mafia backdrop. Eros International will be producing this film. Anjali will be romancing Balayya for the first time. Other heroine of the project is yet to be finalized. Srivas himself is also co-producing the project.
Difference Between AP And T Students
Telangana formation day, June 2 is to be observed as ‘Black Day’ by the student bodies and no, not by student bodies from Andhra Pradesh.
It is students from Telangana that will be taking protest rally on June 2 for the government’s failure to issue a single job notification to date.
With the TRS having completed one year of governance, the students are understandably impatient as are many sections of society thanks to KCR’s promises made during the T-agitation.
On the other hand, if we take the state of Andhra Pradesh, leave aside job notifications, the government is resorting to land grabbing in the name of development. But the students more or less tend to be apolitical and concentrate only on their education. Only for the ‘Samaikhyandhra’ agitation did they take to the streets along with their parents.
But it is really sad to see that the very students who called the formation of Telangana a ‘sixty-year dream’ now calling the very day of the formation a ‘black day’.
KCR to dissolve Assembly?
Telangana CM KCR shocked all by thundering that he will dissolve assembly. Addressing TRS party MLAs, Ministers he said TRS party will sweep the elections to the five MLC seats. He said after the elections there will be only TRS and MIM in Telangana.
He however sounded strong warning when he said if the results come in a different manner then he will sack the ministers. He also warned he will even go to the extent of dissolving the assembly.
MLC elections under MLA quota will be held on June 1st and as a part of preparations KCR conducted review meet at Telangana Bhavan. He asked party leaders to take the achievements of the government to the people.
He made it clear to everyone that district Ministers are responsible for MLA votes in the particular constituency. He said if they fail to do their duty they will lose their posts.
Rakshasudu Movie Review – 3/5
Tamil superstar Suriya’s Massu Engira Masilamani is dubbed into Telugu as Rakshasudu. Directed by Venkat Prabhu this is a very different film from the usual commercial stuff. However it may not appeal to everyone.
Story :
Mass aka Madhusudan (Suriya) is a thief who meets with a terrible accident and wakes up with the power to see ghosts. He uses that ability to make money by turning into ghostbuster. Everything goes as per plan until Mass meets a very typical and well planned ghost Siva (Suriya dual role). Siva meets Mass with a big agenda and that puts the latter in unavoidable circumstances.
Perfomances:
Suriya is topnotch in both his characters. He tried different hair styles for his dual roles and has done an exceptional job by shouldering the film even during the dull moments. Premji gets a meaty character and he sustained himself from going overboard this time.
However a seasoned comedian would have made a world of difference to this character. Nayantara has not much to do. So does Praneetha. Karunas, Srimaan and others did well as the ghosts in distress. Parthipan is okay in a brief role. Samuthirakani is alright. Brahmanandam’s scene appeals to the masses.
Technicalities:
Venkat Prabhu has written a very complicated screenplay for this film. The film keeps on jumping from one genre to the other and keeps you guessing all the time. Despite the lows and loopholes this will be remembered as a creative film from the director.
Songs are not impressive. Yuvan Shankar Raja makes up for the bad soundtrack with a neat background score. Cinematography is brilliant. Visual effects are pretty bad. We cannot expect such low grade stuff from the film that has big names associated with it.

Analysis:
Rakshasudu is a different movie in many ways. Not many directors have attempted this kind of movie in the past. Mixing various genres into one film that has a commercial base plot is not as easy as it appears. Venkat Prabhu must have done lot of work on the script front to develop this idea into what it has turned out to be. Rakshasudu throws many surprises and keeps the viewers guessing.
Few ideas are so bizarre that we expect something even bizarre to happen. For instance we would almost convince ourselves that Suriya has turned into a ghost for five minutes or so. In spite of the different treatment Venkat Prabhu didn’t sacrifice on the commercial elements. There are some very good unexpected twists to keep you glued to the screen.
Although the screenplay is fairly engaging the pace of the movie is uneven many a time. Second half of the movie is better compared to the clumsy and confusing first half. Venkat Pabhu made sure to make it more commercial and less confusing in the second half that Rakshasudu ended up as a film that appeals to everyone.
That being said this film may not impress the audience who are inclined to watch masala movies with loads of popcorn entertainment. This film has been sold for decent rates and therefore it has scope to do well on the commercial front.
Verdict: Brand New Entertainment.
Charmi’s Live Performance for film Promotion!
Charmi is out of focus for several years and the actress had pinned high hopes on her next, Jyothi Lakshmi to make a comeback. She is even the presenter of the film. The audio release event of the film will take place on June 4th and to grab as many as eyeballs possible to the film, the actress will be performing live that day.
The film directed by Puri Jagannadh is creating good interest in the trade. As the film is coming from the stable of a star director like Puri, distributors are quoting good amounts. For an instance, the movie was bought for a whopping 1 Crore in Uttarandhra. Puri Jagannadh is one of the most in-demand directors in Tollywood despite the movie results.
However he came out of the cocoon and is directing a low budget film, Jyothi Lakshmi starring Charmi. Puri himself revealed that the movie is inspired from a novel titled ‘Mrs.Parankusam’ which was written by ace writer Malladi Venkata Krishna Murthy at the age of 19 years.
