When there are big films happening, there are enough rumours on the release dates too. For now, it is highly rumoured about Akkineni scion Akhil’s debut flick in the same way. As there are rumours engulfing that the film will hit for Dasara, here is the clarity from producer Nitin about it.

‘For now there is no thought about the release date. So far only 50% of the shoot got complete. We’ll get a clarity of release date only after the completion of the shoot. For now the team is in Africa, canning certain action sequences’, said Nitin, while sharing his thoughts. When quizzed again about the release date, Nitin asserted, ‘Can’t say now’.

Earlier there are rumours that Akhil’s debut film under Vinayak’s direction is likely to hit on Dasara eve alongside Ram Charan and Sreenu Vytla’s movie that is slated for October 15th release. Anyway, Nitin is saying that he’s more excited about this ‘Production A’ as this is his first ever production venture.

Hilarious Speech By Balayya!

Senior actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna might be delivering powerful dialogues penned by dialogue writers in his films, but when it comes to delivering ex tempore speech, he miserably fails to attract the audience.

It was once again proved at Mahanadu held at Gandipet on Thursday.

Balayya, who now represents Hindupur Assembly constituency in Anantapur district, fumbled several times while recalling the glorious contribution made by his legendary father and TDP founder-president N T Rama Rao to the State.

He could not properly pronounce several words. For example, he said “Avirbhinchi” instead of “Avirbhavinchi” (formed); “viplamatmaka” instead of “Viplavaatmaka” (revolutionary), “Rendu kilo rupaayiki biyyam” instead of “Rendu rupaayalaki kilo biyyam” (Rs 2 a kg rice scheme) etc.

What is worse, Balakrishna could not even recall the name of National Front, a group of opposition parties at the national level, which was formed by NTR in 1989 against the Congress party.

Instead, Balakrishna fumbled, scratched his head and said: “NTR was the convenor of NDF and he brought all the opposition parties on a common platform.”

Well, it was hilarious for some and boring for many in the audiences!

Chennai: Actor-producer Suriya says he may act alongside his actress-wife Jyotika in a Tamil project next year. The duo has been reading scripts over the last few months for their comeback on screen.

Suriya and Jyotika were last seen on screen in 2006 Tamil romantic-drama “Sillunu Oru Kadhal”.

“Talks are on. We are listening to scripts and if everything goes as planned, we may act together next year,” Suriya said at the success meet of Jyotika’s comeback film “36 Vayadhinile”.

He is extremely elated with the response to “36 Vayadhinile”, which is also his maiden production venture.

“The response has been phenomenal. Jo (Jyotika) has been getting so many calls ever since the film released. The film has also done well at the box office and we’re thankful to everybody,” he said.

“My parents said Jo is a better actor than me and that only makes me proud. With this film, I think she has proved it,” Suriya added.

“36 Vayadhinile”, which was directed by Rosshan Andrrews, has raked in over Rs.10 crore in over two weeks since its release.

Buzz: Karan Johar Unhappy With Baahubali

Share

karan-johar

It has been widely reported that Bollywood biggie Karan Johar will be producing the Hindi version of Baahubali. But it is being reported that Karan Johar is unhappy with the unit of the film and especially with Rajamouli.

Since no date has been fixed for release, Karan is said to be upset. Apparently, he told the unit that he did not care if the film released this year or the next year and asked them to give a final date at the earliest.

But Rajamouli is said to be completely unsure of the release date and it is no mean task to write dialogues for the Hindi version and synchronise it with the dialogues of the Telugu version.

Naturally, all these are not time-bound processes and none can predict a final date. So looks like Baahubali surely has Rajamouli stressed out.

‘I Don’t Consider Myself A Star, But An Achiever’

priyanka

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra says she does not consider herself a star, but an achiever. In her 13-year-long career, Priyanka, who has seen highs and lows in the industry, said she wants to do good quality work and entertain the audience.

“I don’t think any one person is at the top alone. There is no top in the movie business. There is no number one slot, every Friday changes… Every movie changes one’s position in the industry. I believe I am among the top five actors,” Priyanka told PTI.

“There is no sense of satisfaction and if that happens then I will quit. I don’t think I am satisfied; I feel there is so much more to do. I don’t set benchmark for myself. I don’t consider myself as a star or actor, I consider myself as an achiever, I want to achieve the best in whatever I do,” she said.

According to Priyanka, the three achievements of her life are – becoming Miss India, Miss World at the age of 17 understanding that she can act and then taking up music as it was her father’s dream. The actress is also excited about her next release “Dil Dhadakne Do” in which she plays the role of Ayesha. “I had finished Mary Kom and after ten days I started shooting for this film. I had to go on a crash diet for this film as Ayesha is completely feminine, completely opposite of Mary Kom,” she said.

“I have always played strong characters, while in real life I am feminine and I never got to play this part. I just fell for Ayesha. Her character is just like me…except that I am outspoken,” she said.

In the film, her parents, played by Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah, tell her to compromise on her marriage and Priyanka insists that “love” is an important factor in marriage and there is no compromise on that. “In the film, I don’t love my husband and that alone is not the reason for my parents for me to leave the marriage. It is about the mentality that Indian families have. Whether it is love or arranged marriage you have to love your partner. I feel if you are not in love with your partner, then how do you stay with him?” Priyanka said.

“If I get married… whenever I get married I am not of that belief that if there is one fight with your partner, you leave him and go. I believe love sustains a lot of problems. As long as there is love you can overcome anything, if that is not there, then there is no point in living the life based on compromise,” she said.

The actress-singer, who has lent her voice for the film, says the idea of her singing a song just happened. “A creative person will have three-four avenues. For me it is in acting, writing, producing and singing. The decision of me singing in this film just happened at a party. The song is not modelled on anyone, I have sung it for everyone,” Priyanka said. “I would love to sing for another actress…it is my next dream. But I will have to change my voice, as my voice is unique. So it will be hard for me to do it,” she said.

The film also stars Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Shefali Shah and others.

For Priyanka working in an ensemble film was great fun. “In such films the entire pressure is not on you alone. The pressure is less, as there are other actors also in the film. The only people who had difficulty were our director Zoya Akhtar and producer Riteish Sidhwani,” she added.

The film is scheduled for release on 5 June.

Will Hyderabad Obsession Pull Him Down too?

Share

kcr111

TDP chief Chandrababu lost power after a nine year stint in the year 2004. One of his major short comings then was his excessive focus on Hyderabad, which even his party men agree. Naidu may have done that for creating good revenue source but people didn’t take his stand seriously.

Now the focus of KCR seems to be only on cities like Hyderabad and Warangal and all his decisions of late are being taken with elections in mind as earlier the pink party was rejected in the elections in Hyderabad, Hence he has started poaching leaders from other political outfits with success. At the same time, irrespective of elections, such obsession is not being taken kindly by the common man of Telangana.

Their dream of Telangana was to uplift backward areas and down trodden sections of Adilabad, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Karimnagar regions etc.,which remain backward to this day. Recently the TRS cabinet had approved the policy of building 2-bedroom houses for the weaker sections in Hyderabad and Warangal. Earlier too, KCR focused only on Warangal in North Telangana while neglecting other regions of the state.

The move is causing heart burn in the remaining regions of Telangana where the plight of the people continues is the same if not worse, even after the dream of a separate state. KCR can focus on improving public transport and other infrastructure of Hyderabad. But this shouldn’t be at expense of rest of the state.

Rakshasudu Inside Talk

Share

surya

After two back to back flops – 7th Sense and Brothers, Suriya’s market in Telugu had taken a severe beating and his next, Rakshasudu is releasing this Friday with minimum buzz. Here is the Inside Talk of the film from our sources in Censor Board.

The movie is kind of experimental venture for Suriya. The movie has high dose of Tamil nativity which may not go well with the Telugu audience. Finally they say the movie is of below average range and will do better in Tamil than Telugu.

Suriya is attempting the first horror comedy in his career. The movie is stuffed with some supernatural elements. Nayanthara and Pranitha are paired up with Suriya in this film directed by Venkat Prabhu.
Yuvan Shankar Raja is the film’s music composer and the album will also feature a special song composed by SS Thaman.

Pandaga Chesko Inside Talk

Share

pandaga4

We are just few hours away from the release of Ram’s Pandaga Chesko. For some reason, the movie is carrying very minimal buzz in audience. However the Inside Talk of the film is good and will keep the trade and as well as Ram fans interested.

The movie is in average to above average range according to the information we have. The second half is more engrossing than the first half with Brahmanandham making a kill with his laughter fest for about 30 minutes.

Ram’s last three films – Ongole Gitta, Endhukante Premanta and Masala failed to rake good money at the box office. The young actor had pinned all his hopes on this film. If the talk is good, the Summer holidays and no competition advantage will drive the film home safe and sound.
