Upon knowing about the incident, Big B immediately tweeted, “The 1873 – Okay !! Shooting at Film City .. and a gang war shootout 20 feet from where we are … !!1 dead .. cops all over ..” Apprehensive fans expressed their shock at Amitabh’s tweet and urged him to safe.
‘I Love My Work And See God In It’
Well, film industry is full of beliefs and superstitions. Even today, a film starts off with the breaking of a coconut and a film is usually wrapped up with the breaking of a pumpkin.
In fact, there was a time when the producers would go to Tirumala and put the reels at the feet of Lord Venkateswara before releasing it. Well, now the prints are digital, so that is no longer possible.
And when it comes to atheists in the industry, one can think of Akkineni Nageswara Rao and then comes Kamal Haasan. Being a Tamilian, it is rather surprising that he does not believe in God, but he insists that work is god for him. He says be believes in his work and that amounts to worship for him.
Though he confesses that when he was a child, he would believe in Subramanya Swamy like many Tamilians do, Kamal Haasan says once he started seeing all the pujas and prayers of people and to what extent they can go to fulfill them, he stopped believed in the existence of god.
He says he also does not like many people cashing in on the name of god. Ironically, while Kamal Haasan who happens to be a disciple of K Balachander is an atheist, KB’s other disciple Rajinikanth is a staunch believer in god.
Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan insists that god is just a belief and that he detests all the rituals that people do to please the almighty.
First Look: True King ‘Baahubali’ On War Field
It didn’t sounded too heavy when big stalwarts like Rajnikanth and Karan Johar are throwing all the praises for “Baahubali” after looking at few rushes of the film. Living up to their words, beating people’s expectations, and carving out a golden history with just posters, Rajamouli finally released the final installment of his poster attack. And, he delivers.
Warrior Baahubali, is not just a brilliant warlord and sword wielding soldier but a true king also. Seen in the poster is Prabhas in action with all of his armour around and fighting the enemies. Slashing their throats with a sword and beating their torsos out of his way with an axe, Prabhas lives truly in the role.
Rajamouli has given us a feeling whether he has made a Telugu film in last four years or any Hollywood film. Such are the standards of this poster. This is truly epic.
Tank Bund Road Blocked For 2 Weeks
The famous Tank Bund Road in Hyderabad will be closed for at least two weeks due to the repair works. The government of Telangana has issued a public notice regarding the same and also included the traffic diversions list in the same notice. Until now, the untreated sewerage water from the areas of Balanagar and Kukatpally are being released into the beautiful Hussain Sagar lake. With the new pipelines, the waste water will be diverted and released into the Kalasiguda Nala from the July 2015.
HMWSSB – Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board has planned to lay around 4 kilometers of new Trunk Sewer lines to carry the industrial & sewerage water from Kukatpally and due to this, the busy road of Ranigunj and Tank Bund needs to be blocked at least for 10 to 15 days. Appropriate diversions have been planned and were notified to the public in advance.
Project director M Konda Reddy is closely monitoring the whole process and has been acting as a liaison between Chief Minister Office and Traffic authorities. He is committed to deliver the project by end of June month and thus support the initiative of “Clean Hussain Sagar” by KCR. Though the traffic may go haywire for few days and the public goes through some commuting woes, this will surely help the government in bringing back the lost glory of Clean Lakes in and around Hyderabad.

Akhil Shuts Down All The Rumours
As director VV Vinaykak’s photos launching first look of a Telugu film appeared in media circles, it is widely believed that the dashing director is not supervising the action scenes filming of Akkineni Akhil’s debut flick.
Also with Nagarjuna and Amala too visited Spain to have a look at how the shooting is coming out, speculations are rife that Vinayak left the mantle to Nagarjuna. But there is no truth in it, and here comes the mighty proof.
With Akhil sharing the picture of his dad Nag and mom Amala from the spot, sitting in front of the monitor and blushing over their son’s decent fighting work, we could notice an elated V V Vinayak who happens to be the first audience of the film showcasing his work to second audience Nag and Amala.
Though Kona Venkat and Nitin had clarified earlier that Vinayak is very much in Spain, some critics never believed them. But this picture would answer everything.
“A proud moment for me, both mom and dad visited our set in Spain. My first abroad schedule for a film”, says Akhil, happy with his parents presence on location.

Surprisingly this treat is offered only in limited theatres across AP and T, in nearly 150+ theatres. Coming to Mosagallaku Mosagadu, director AN Bose is quite sure on the film’s success due to the stylish screenplay he incorporated. What’s more talked about this film is, Sudhir got almost 300 theatres confirmed for his treat.
On the other hand Ajith’s “Yennai Arindaal” is releasing in Telugu today as “Enthavadu Gaani” and the film happens to be a flop in Tamil version. However, the craze for Ajith and director Gowtham Menon won nearly 200+ theatres for him.
It’s not the number of theatres that matters but the content for heroes other than stars. So, wait for our reviews to find more about these films.
Mosagallaku Mosagadu Review – 2.5/5
Story:
Krish (Sudhir Babu) makes a living out of the money made from cheating people. One day he is assigned a task of stealing of Seeta – Rama Idols of Ramalayyam in Ayodhya, by Kaushik (Jaya Prakash Reddy) and his gang who works for a don (Abhimanyu Singh). When they were about to cut a big deal with that statue, Krish runs away with it shocking the gang. Why did he do that? What happens next is the remaining part of the story.
Performances:
Sudhir Babu put up a better performance in the character. Pankaj Kesari is too good as the investigating officer while Rakta charitra fame Abhimanyu Singh is decent but is not proper used in poorly etched character. Nandini Rai is good locking with innocent features and delivers a fine performance.
Jaya Prakash Reddy, Duvvasi Mohan, Fish Venkat and Sapthagiri brings in the much needed laughs to the story. Chandra Mohan is okay as a school teacher.
Analysis:
The movie is publicized as the sequel to Swamy Ra Ra but is incomparable to the film in any case. Director Bose Nelluri is the culprit with average direction and poor narration combined with very predictable scenes and slow pace. The actual story of the film only begins just before the interval until then, the director bores us with badly written love track between the lead pair.
The second half also suffers predictability but the only saving grace is some good chemistry. The movie being a crime thriller should have some good pace and interesting twists which are totally absent. Technical Performances: Kannada musician Manikanth Kadri came up with an average album. Two songs have been well shot.
The Background Score is good and he needs a pat on the back for the introduction scores for Sudheer Babu and Abhimanyu Singh. Cinematography by Ummadisingu Sai Prakash is good. He managed to capture some good locales to give a fresh feel to the film. The Editor should have easily chopped off some good 20 minutes in the first half. The Production values are appropriate.
Plus Points:
- Few Performances
- Some Comedy towards the end
Minus Points:
- Predictable Narration
- Dragged screenplay
- Chemistry between the leads
- Dragged First Half
- Direction
Final Say: If you are carrying the impression of Swamy Ra Ra on this film, you may have to learn that you are just being cheated. The film is not match to Swamy Ra Ra or for that matter any good crime thriller due to the poor job of the director. Try it only if you want that comedy coming towards the end of the film.
Jayalalithaa invited to form government
Accepting the resignation of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O.Panneerselvam and his council of ministers on Friday Governor K. Rosaiah invited AIADMK general secretary J.Jayalaltihaa to form the ministry at the earliest, a Raj Bhavan statement said.
In two different statements issued, Raj Bhavan said Rosaiah accepted the resignation of O.Panneerselvam and his council of ministers.
“The Governor has requested the Chief Minister and his present council of ministers to function until alternative arrangements are made,” the statement said.
Rosaiah has also invited AIADMK general secretary and the leader of legislature party Jayalalithaa to form the ministry at the earliest.
Rosaiah also requested Jayalalithaa to send the list of people to be appointed as ministers with their portfolios.
It was a day of fast paced political development on the expected lines within in the ruling party since morning.
At 7 a.m., the lawmakers of AIADMK at their meeting the party headquarters elected Jayalalithaa as the leader of the legislature party.
Panneerselvam proposing Jayalalithaa’s name as the leader of the legislature party, much to the clapping of all the law makers, also said he would resign as chief minister and leader of legislature party.
“It was a short meeting mainly to elect Amma (Jayalalithaa) as the AIADMK’s legislature party leader,” a party leader told IANS.
It is also expected that Jayalalithaa would be sworn in as the chief minister on Saturday, according to party sources.
Party cadres in large numbers assembled at the AIADMK headquarters here since early Friday morning.
Later in the day, Jayalalithaa would offer floral tributes at the party founder late M.G. Ramachandran’s (MGR) statue, DMK founder late C.N. Annadurai’s and Dravidar Kazhagam founder late E.V. Ramaswamy’s statue here.
Jayalalithaa had to leave the position of chief minister and assembly seat (Srirangam constituency) after she was convicted and given a four-year jail term along with Rs.100 crore fine by a trial court in Bengaluru in a disproportionate assets case.
The Karnataka High Court upheld her appeal against the conviction and acquitted her recently.
On May 17, P. Vetrivel, a party legislator representing Radhakrishnan Nagar assembly constituency, resigned from his post and the same was accepted by the speaker.
It is expected that Jayalalithaa would contest for re-election from Radhakrishnan Nagar constituency.
With Vetrivel’s resignation, the AIADMK’s strength in the 234-member assembly comes down by one to 150, excluding the speaker.
Jyotika’s Comeback Film Rakes In Over Rs.8 Crore
Making a comeback after eight long years, actress Jyotika’s latest Tamil release “36 Vayadhinile”, which is about a woman and her pursuit of dreams, has raked in over Rs.8 crore in the six days since its release in Tamil Nadu.
“The film opened to highly positive word-of-mouth. Although targeted at women, even men and family audiences have lapped up the film. It has minted Rs.8 crore and above in six days. At this rate, the film may collect over Rs.20 crore in another week in the cinemas,” trade analyst Trinath told IANS.
According to a statement released by the film’s makers, the movie has been shifted to bigger screens across select cinema screens in multiplexes.
Buoyed with the positive response to her film, Jyotika recently said: “I’m overwhelmed with the love and respect towards ’36 Vayadhinile’. I did the film with a fire inside me believing that women should be respected for being homemakers as they juggle between many roles in day-to-day life, thereby losing the drive to chase their own dreams.”
She also did the film because “I felt it will give heroines a better standing in this male-dominated industry and make women understand that our identity lie in our self-respect, confidence and achievements, and not just in marital status”.
Directed by Rosshan Andrews, the film is produced by Jyotika’s actor-husband Suriya under his home banner 2D Entertainment.
Suriya has already bought the remake rights of the movie in all India languages. And according to an insider, talks are on with a leading Telugu star to start work on the Telugu version.
T-Staff threaten to use Secret Weapon?
Right after the crushing defeat of Congress party in the last general elections, many wrote of its leadership Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. When Rahul Gandhi disappeared for months during Parliament session, many mocked fun of him.
However on return, Rahul Gandhi shocked everyone with his renewed aggression and ballistic attacks on Central Government led by PM Modi. He even started visiting various places in India and recently conducted Padayatra in Telangana.
He took on CM KCR and his TRS led Telangana Government. KCR however made fun of him saying ” Many Gandhis will come and go”. But it seems Rahul Gandhi many become secret weapon of Telangana staff.
Telangana staff for long have been demanding only native employees of the state be allotted in the state. However with Government not heeding to their request, are now threatening to go to Delhi and bring in Rahul Gandhi come to Telangana and take up their cause.
They warned “Come to our rescue immediately. Don’t push us into a situation where we will be forced to approach Rahul Gandhi to fight for our cause,” Associations said if KCR govt will not heed to their request they will bring in Rahul Gandhi inviting him to be the chief guest for their meeting soon to be held in the city.
