What’s Wrong In Doing An Item Number?
Well, up north heroines who are hot and on top do item numbers to have some special songs in their kitty. Now no matter what is said, it is the item songs that people remember the most and they are the ones played at clubs and weddings.
So, Ileana who has been trying her luck in Bollywood has decided to do an item number in Akhil’s yet-to-be-titled film that is being directed by VV Vinayak.
But down south there is a common feeling that heroines who don’t have roles end up doing item numbers.
Well, when asked the same, Ileana doesn’t bat an eyelid and says that there is nothing wrong in doing an item number when one does not have films. Her logic is that when one gets paid a huge amount for barely two days of work, why should it hurt anyone?
And Ileana also reminds us that according to a survey, most bachelors had posters of Ileana in their rooms. So, she says she is happy with the offer as she gets to shake a leg with Akhil in his debut film and sizzle on screen once again.
Of course, she did have her share of films and Ileana says she will get the offers that are meant for her which anyways.
Hero Lives Up To Promise Made To His Mother
He is one of the top heroes in Tollywood with a sizeable fan following. An educated person as well, he hails from a top film production family and is known to be on good terms with other top heroes without a penchant for publicity or controversies.
Here, one thing in particular needs to be mentioned about this hero. This hero is a remarkable exception in that he strictly stays away from the women in the industry.
It is very difficult to resist the temptations of the opposite sex in the film industry but this hero has been very principled on that count. And there is a reason for this too. This hero entered the industry at a relatively young age just like his dad.
This hero’s dad did not spare anyone in the industry whether heroine, junior artiste or item girl much to the chagrin of the hero’s mother.
So when the hero decided to enter the industry as well, she apparently took a promise from him that he would not become like his dad and strictly keep away from the temptations of Tollywood.
The hero promised her accordingly before making his debut. To date, he has kept his promise and is devoted only to his family and children. A real role model!
Trade Talk: Ganga Continues To Make Money
Balayya’s Lion did have great openings. It is being said that the film had better collections than Legend in some centres. However, since the talk is not very encouraging, it remains to be seen how it fares in future.
On the other hand, Ganga is still making decent money. The film was declared a hit in the first week and it was declared a super hit in the second week and it is making lots of money in the mass centres.
Meanwhile, Lakshmi Manchu’s Dongata did have positive reviews, but that hasn’t translated into collections at the box office. Though it did have positive response in A centres, it failed to attract audiences in B, C centres.
And Daagudumoota Dandakor did not work at the box office, despite the big names it was associated with.
