Director Puri Jagannadh condemned all the claims that the story of Megastar’s 150th film was lifted by writer BVS Ravi from an upcoming writer.

He also made it very clear that the concept and story of this film is his brainchild.

Puri Jagannath announced the title of the film while clearing off the air. As speculated, the title of Megastar’s 150th movie is Auto Jaani.

“Auto Jaani story is completely and originally conceived by me. Don’t believe false claims and rumors made in media,” tweeted Puri Jagannadh.

His co writer BVS Ravi who has been working on Auto Jaani script also condemned few rumors about the film being a period drama.

“#150 is neither periodical nor any social problem related one nor did Gopimohan share with me any idea. Any doubts can be cleared through unions. It’s a new age stylish storyline designed by Purijagan garu keeping in mind all the mega fans and expectations of all the audience. All kinds of publicity stunts shud be put to rest and dealt with respected Unions,” stated BVS Ravi.

Yes, the heroine who is busy doing roles in other languages took time off from her busy schedule and was seen posting photographs of her along with her mom.

Well, both of them were seen making avakaya for the season. Incidentally, she is the same actress who was also seen in the film titled Avakaya Biryani. Later, she got to act in films such as Bumper Offer, Om Shanti, Pilla Zamindaru.

Actor Nara Rohit’s upcoming Telugu crime-drama “Appatlo Okkadundevadu”, currently in pre-production, is said to be based on true events that transpired between the years 1992 and 1996 in Hyderabad.

“It’s inspired from true events that happened during this time period. I have fictionalised these events for the screen. It’s partly based on a crime biography. I can’t reveal more at this moment,” the film’s director Sagar Chandra told IANS.

It also features actor Sri Vishnu as one of the leads.

“The story will revolve around Rohit and Vishnu. We’re on the lookout for two heroines. We’re also in talks with a popular Kannada actress to play the role of a sister. We should be able to finalise the cast in a week’s time,” he said.

Known for directing the underrated 2012 Telugu drama “Ayyare”, Chandra says “Appatlo…” will be “very different”.

“When I made ‘Ayyare’, it stood out among the films that came out that year. It was different from the usual crop of movies. I’m trying something different with my second film as well,” said Chandra, and added that the film’s story will jump between present day and the 1990s.

He adds that recreating the bygone years will be a major challenge.

“The entire topography of Hyderabad has changed. Its people have also changed. I need to keep all that in mind when we start shooting. It’ll be tough to make a 100 percent fool-proof film but we’ll try our best to do justice to the time period in the story,” he said.

The movie will be officially launched in the first week of June, followed by regular shooting.

Lashing out at the newly formed producers’ syndicate, Posani said that this trend is not at all good for the film industry as it will lead to grave issues in the future.

Apparently, a section of producers were not ready to attend the promotional event since journalists from the ‘banned media houses’ attended the event. Appealing to the producers in his usual style, Posani requested them not to divide media since the media will in turn help everyone’s films and thus the industry. Posani also lamented that this ban will also result in many media men going jobless. We will have to wait and see if the producers will bow down to Posani’s suggestions.
