At a time when it was believed that Congress party would wipe off in 1998, it staged a spectacular comeback by 2004. Congresssuffered its worst defeat with only 44 MP’s it won last year.

AP Chief Minister CBN welcomes Actor Sivaji’s hunger strike on Special Status to AP. He indirectly said that he can welcomes agitation for special status to the state done by any person. By this statement, CBN shows his irritation on NDA Government. CBN moved strategically with NDA Government.

Though he got frustration, CBN is not willing to come out from NDA because of financial assistance. CBN has reiterated without Centre Government’s help, AP can’t sustain and compete with other neighboring states. CBN is keen pay more attention in generating more revenue from the natural resources in the state.

AP Government has received around 300 crores through the sale of sand in first 9 months of this financial year. In 2013-14, Congress got just 20 crores through the auction of sand. TDP has controlled sand mafia and generates more income. TDP was received 855 crores of revenue through the auction of 4K tones of red sandalwood.

In second phase, AP Government has decided to auction 3,500 tons of red sandalwood. This time Government expected another 1K crores. Now AP Government seeks to ask revenue from Oil and Natural Gas produced in KG Basin. If it happens, AP will get 10,000 crores from KG basin. On the other hand, AP has concentrated more revenue from barites metal which has more in AP.

We aren’t asking anything, we are only asking you to implement what has been promised. This was the statement made in Lok Sabha in chorus today by Telangana MP’s who have blocked the proceedings of the parliament repeatedly over the issue of separate high court for Telangana state.

This was the total unity displayed by the MP’s from this region which finally resulted in AP bifurcation and formation of Telangana state. Even before bifurcation the Congress MP’s from AP have proved to be no better than paper tigers, who surrendered before Sonia behind closed doors.

Most of the promises made by BJP and Modi have been unfulfilled even after nearly one year of state formation and both state and central governments taking charge. Railway zone, special incentives, special status and many of them have been brushed under the table. Ruling TDP MP’s and opposition YSRCP MP’s have been mum on this issue.

While on the other side, even after achieving their main objective of Telangana, MP’s from this region are unrelenting over separate high court even after being well aware that  this issue is now pending  in high court. This is their way of keeping pressure and flame alive while about AP’s MP’s the less spoken the better!
