Masculine Prabhas as Shivudu raises hype on Baahubali!
Tollywood’s Most Successful director, SS Rajamouli released the seconf Poster of Baahubali – ‘Prabhas as Shivudu’ a short while ago. Prabhas is seen sporting his very well chieseled body and carrying a heavy Shivalingam on his shoulder.
He looked macho and the poster went viral instantly trending Baahubali in all social networking sites. This new poster just doubled the hype on this magnum opus movie. Baahubali is the biggest budget movie ever made on Telugu Screen. Three years of hard work had gone in to the project.
Prabhas had pinned high hopes on the film to catapult him to the next level. The movie is already creating never before seen records in Telugu film trade. Sabu Cyril has created the sets while Senthil is handling the camera.
The movie, which is being produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni. under Arka Media banner, will be presented by K Raghavendra Rao. Renowned engineer P. M. Sateesh is working on the sound design and Debajit Changmai (Debu) is working on sound mixing.
Mahesh Babu’s title for Rajinikanth!
Kollywood sources are abuzz with the news that Sensational director Shankar will be directing Superstar Rajinikanth very soon. Both Shankar and Rajinikanth tasted their last success with Robo and are with out proper hits later. Now they are planning to join hands once again.
It is said that this project will take a while to go on floors and Shankar had registered a titled ‘Number 1’ for the movie. It may be reminded that Superstar Krishna and Mahesh Babu had acted in a film titled ‘1’. However ‘1’ did not leave Mahesh Babu with good memories.
It is said that Rajinikanth will do one more film before ‘1’, they say it will be directed by Ranjith, the young director who earlier directed critically acclaimed films like ‘Attakathi’ and ‘Madras’. Popular producer and Tamil Film Producer’s Council’s President Kalaipuli S Thanu is expected to produce this film.
Reddy Blames Naidu For Killings Of Party Cadre
YSR Congress party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy on Monday blamed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for the killings of his party cadres.
He called on Governor Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy to complain about the growing attacks on his party leaders and workers and sought his intervention in what he called deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
The leader of opposition demanded probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the murders of YSR Congress leaders.
He briefed the governor about the situation in Anantapur district, where party leader Prasad Reddy was murdered on April 29.
Jagan, as the young leader is popularly known, said Prasad Reddy was brutally murdered in a government office in broad daylight.
The YSR Congress leader said police arrested YSR Congress leaders in the district for staging protests to demand probe into the killing.
He recalled that another party leader, Vijaybhaskar Reddy, was killed in the same district on March 31.
Later, Jagan told reporters that Naidu was using police chief to eliminate YSR Congress leaders. He said Director General of Police J.V. Ramudu was very close to leaders of the ruling Telugu Desam Party.
Jagan said eight leaders of his party were murdered in Anantapur since Ramudu, who also hails from the same district, took over in July last year.
Meanwhile, a shutdown is being observed in Anantapur on Monday on a call of the YSR Congress to condemn the murder and the subsequent arrests of its leaders. Police have tightened security in the district.
NDTV embarrasses KCR in Gajwel
There is a lot of link and interrelation between politics and media and one of the major factors that has contributed to the success of Telangana statehood movement is the unstinted support of media. In this regard, KCR has been lucky enough to ensure he gets the support of national media which is not that easy.
Time and again, KTR, Kavitha and others hogged limelight during bifurcation drama from 2009-14 and they were the frequent guests on national TV channels while TDP even didn’t get any minimum representation there. Such was the power of Telangana movement that changed the for tunes of KCR.
However, NDTV has been focusing on farmer suicides nation wide as well as the distress caused among them due to government negligence. In this regard, NDTV has exclusively focused on suicides in KCR’s native constituency of Gajwel in Medak districts of Telangana highlighting their plight.
NDTV called for mass donations to the families of such farmers who passed away due to suicides recently and appeal for money for their children’s education, bread and butter. For around more than 60families, rich families in Gurgaon offered Rs. 3 lakh to each. Embarrassed by this program, TS government ordered an interim relief but national level reputation of TRS has been affected.
Trade: Allu Arjun’s biggest failure in Kerala
Stylish Star Allu Arjun commands huge following in Kerala. The actor’s films get dubbed in to Malayalam and do on par with the local star heroes there. So Allu Arjun always makes it a point to go to Kerala and promote his films there before the release. He even did the same for his recent film, Son of Satyamurthy.
The movie released there in 71 theaters on its opening day, a very big number considering Kerala market. The movie had an average start at the box office collecting 2.05 Crore in the first week of its release. However it ended as a one week affair witnessing heavy drops in the second week and ended up as a big flop there.
Few box office experts in Kerala say that the movie is the biggest failure of Allu Arjun in Kerala. Back in Telugu, the movie is still a flop venture here despite doing decent at the box office due to the heavy rates of the film. A minimum 7-9 Crore is on cards. The loss would have been more if the movie did not release in Summer. No hit films after the movie release except Ganga also helped the film.
A Sad Farewell to Mighty T-JAC
If KCR has been the first factor which has resulted in the culmination of five—decade old struggle for Telangana statehood, then the immediate next factor is the T-JAC (Telangana Joint Action Committee). After KCR’s fast, Centre’s midnight announcement on December 9 and Centre going back on its decision on December 24th, things reached a standstill.
From here, depending on who was strong, AP could be eventually bifurcated or status quo would have been in place with some package given to Telangana before 2019 elections. It was then that KCR realized a need for everyone to come together and he consulted Jana Reddy who in turn consulted Nagam of TDP to form T—JAC.
This served as the umbrella organization that resulted in creation of similar JAC’s in every government department, university, colleges,and other important aspects of society and finally their unstinted efforts forced Congress to conceded Telangana. But with Kodandaram sataying neutral and informing the same first to Congress leadership in Delhi and then to KCR, T—JAC earned all round praise.
But with the formation of TS, KCR becoming CM changed everything. Aspart of a plan, KCR started targeting T-JAC and many leaders had tojoin TRS and those who were left were discredited including Kodandaram. Now with AP vacating T-JAC office, no one in TRS is even bothered about giving them shelter.
While crores are given for sports persons and all caste associations to build their own bhavans, the pillar of Telangana agitation, T-JAC is being confined to history!
‘My Father Is Not Scared Of Trying Something New’
Actress Shruti Haasan, the elder daughter of actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan and actress Sarika, says her father is not scared of trying something new.
“I think my mother is very strong and independent. As far as my father is concerned, he is very honest and he is not scared of anyone. As an actor, he is not scared of trying something new,” Shruti told reporters in a group interview for her film “Gabbar is Back”.
She added: “In terms of acting, my mom is spontaneous and papa is a natural actor.”
Meanwhile, the actress is also proud of her sister Akshara who made her debut with 2015 released film “Shamitabh”.
“I am very proud of her. She is very different and unique and is smart also,” she said.
Based on a common man waging war against corruption, “Gabbar is Back” also features Akshay Kumar along with Sunil Grover, Suman Talwar and a friendly appearance by Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film has been directed by Krish.
‘I Totally Trust Puri And Jyothi Lakshmi’
Glam diva Charmme who is now shooting for Puri’s Jyothi Lakshmi says that a director is like the heart for a film.
It is important that the cast and crew trust him and deliver whatever he wants. Only then will the film will be a success, says the Punjabi kudi.
She confesses that she totally trusts her director Puri Jagannadh and says that when she is working with him, she does not care about knowing the story. When he narrates the scene, she performs as per his wishes she adds.
In fact, Charmme says that he fulfilled her dream of acting with Amitabh Bachchan and reveals that the offer came out of the blue when Puri called her one day to make the offer.
Now, with Jyothi Lakshmi, she is hopeful that he will show her in a totally different angle and shares that the whole process has made her films and acting all over again.
