Lawerence’s Horror Comedy film, Ganga which released last Friday is doing sensationally well at the box office. The movie had opening on par with Rajinikanth or Shankar films (dubbing category). It has amassed a whopping 8.39 Crore share in both the Telugu states in the first weekend itself. All the buyers will be entering the profit zone by the end of first week.

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu has completed a major schedule in Malaysia and has headed to Hyderabad. The next schedule of the movie will very soon begin here. On the other side, the makers are planning to begin the dubbing works of the film from May 5th.

First the character artists will dub for their roles in the film. According to the latest update, the makers are working on the first look teaser on May 31st on the eve of Superstar Krishna’s birthday. Koratala Siva had to struggle a lot to take his second film on to sets even after delivering a blockbuster like Mirchi with his first.

Mahesh Babu is also raring to go at the box office especially after those back to back failures with 1-Nenokkadine and Aagadu in 2014. Srimanthudu is being planned for July 17th release on the occasion of Ramzan. Shruti Hassan is romancing Mahesh Babu in this film, she was last seen shaking her booty for an item song in Aagadu.

The movie has Jagapathi Babu playing father of Mahesh Babu. Popular Overseas distributors Mytri Film Makers are turning producers for this film. Yerineni Naveen, Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar (Thammudu) and CVM (Mohan) are the producers. Devi Sri Prasad will be composing the music.

Run-Time is very crucial for any film. The director have to bind audience to their seats through out the film and so lengthy films often find it difficult to be hits and so it is always said that crispier the film the better. Ideal runtime for Telugu films is 2 hours 30 minutes.

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Lion may have got exactly the same. Sources tell us that the movie is 2 Hours 29 Minutes long. In that, first half is said to be 1 Hour 16 minutes long while second half will last for 1 hour 13 minutes.

On the other side, the Censor formalities of the movie will be completed today. The movie is all set for a grand release on May 8th. A Special muhurtham of 10.04 AM was set on that day for the release. Lion comes after the super success of Legend and Balakrishna making political entry.

But still Lion do not have proper buzz due to a new director at the helm. The theatrical trailer and music album of the film are also not able to make an impact on trade and the audience. Trisha is romancing Balayya for the first time in this movie. Radhika Apte is playing the second heroine.

A new comer Satyadeva is wielding megaphone for this project. Rudrapati Ramana Rao is producing the film under his SLV Cinema banner. Mani Sharma who gave several chart buster audios to Balayya in the past is composing the music for this film.

With the Super success of Kick, there is so much of curiosity and expectations on Mass Maharaja’s Kick-2. The movie is gearing for Summer release and is currently busy in its post production works. The makers have finalized the audio release event on May 9th.

The venue and other details are yet to be finalized. Kick-2 is not exactly a sequel to Kick but Ravi Teja will carry some continuity from that film to this one. The director promises that Kick-2 will be more entertaining than Kick.

Rakul Preet Singh plays the female lead while Thaman composes the music. This is the first production venture of Kalyan Ram with another hero than himself.

It is interesting to note that it is Kalyan Ram who introduced Surrender Reddy with his blockbuster movie, Athanokkade. Vakkantham Vamsi who penned Kick is also the writer of this film.

Our readers are aware that Veteran director Dasari Narayana Rao will be producing a film with Powerstar Pawan Kalyan. The project even though announced few months ago still surprises every one about how it materialized since Dasari and Mega family do not see eye to eye.

We have seen Ram Charan making very harsh comments on Dasari very recently. In an interview Dasari revealed few interesting things about the project. Here it is in his own words. “I am seeing Pawan Kalyan since Lankeswarudu.

He has grownup in to a towering hero now. But he is so modesty to respect elders and approached me for a project. I will not direct the film as the current generation audience have a contrasting taste. My audience are confined to their homes in recent times and are not coming to the theaters.

I am listening out side stories for Pawan Kalyan”. Dasari also added that this project will not be politically related film in any way. “We would have attempted a political satire but it is not the mood of the people right now as elections are not round the corner”.

Ram Gopal Varma off late is known for churning out films on a weekly basis. Weekly may be an exaggerating term but the frequency of his film announcements is simply mindblowing. The other day, he announced a project titled ‘Mogali Puvvu’ and the poster says the film is about the secrets which a married man hides from his wife.

It is said that Ram Gopal Varma had observed this culture at their regular hangout place in Hyderabad i.e., Puri Jagannadh’ cave. There is a special batch there for RGV – Puri Jagannadh, BVS Ravi, Sirasri and others. Sources close to RGV tells us that he observed these habit of his companions hiding several secrets from their better halves. There are several dark stories in the industry about Puri Jagannadh’s office, we will have to see how far Ram Gopal Varma reveals them.

He is making a film with these topics. The movie is touted to be a Psychological Crime Thriller with family drama and romance. The film will go on floors very soon. Ram Gopal Varma himself admitted that the title of the film is copied from Megastar Chiranjeevi’s super hit song “Raguluthondhi Mogali podha” from “Khaidhi”
