Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Lion which was earlier planned for May Day release missed out due to financial issues. The movie’s business will not be complete by then and so the makers have postponed their release. And now they have finalized every thing and the movie is all set for May 8th release. A press note regarding this will be sent to media very soon.

Lion comes after the super success of Legend and Balakrishna making political entry. But still Lion do not have proper buzz due to a new director at the helm. The theatrical trailer and music album of the film are also not able to make an impact on trade.

Trisha is romancing Balayya for the first time in this movie. Radhika Apte is playing the second heroine. A new comer Satyadeva is wielding megaphone for this project. Rudrapati Ramana Rao is producing the film under his SLV Cinema banner. Mani Sharma who gave several chart buster audios to Balayya in the past is composing the music for this film.

The old rivalry between Telugu film producers council and Telugu Critics surfaced once again. After its recent meeting, the Producers Council issued a press note that the reviews immediately after the film release are causing so much of damage for the films and producers. They requested critics to stop publishing film reviews.

This opens a debate in industry while the critics claim the request is against the Freedom of Press while some critics say Producers Council should concentrate on churning of out good films and then they need not worry about getting bad reviews or the reviews causing any damage.

However few other producer always maintain that reviews do not threaten film business except for influencing collections to some extent in Overseas. Audience there mostly prefer to read the reviews before spending a minimum of $10 on their tickets and also have very long distances to travel to watch the films.

Shocking News coming in! A Telugu film unit comprising of 20 members have gone missing in Nepal. The movie titled ‘Yetakaram.com’ is being canned in a location very near to where the Earth Quake occurred yesterday. The Himalayan country was completely damaged with high magnitude quake killing more than 1500 people. The movie unit can not be reached they say as the communication network in the country is completely damaged.

The director of Yetakaram.com, Veerender Reddy, is a close relative of senior director SV Krishna Reddy. Many Telugu tourists are stranded in Nepal as Telangana and Andhra Pradesh government are trying their level best to reach out to them and bring them back.

Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce do not have any information about the Yetakaram.com team. However they say they are pursuing the issue with the government to make sure they are rescued. The families of the missing crew members are very much worried about their whereabouts. We can only pray for their safe return!

Naga Chaitanya’s Dochey despite having the average talk could reflect in collections at the box office. The movie had very slow start and despite some betterment on the Weekend, is not putting up remarkable show. On the other side, the makers seem to be in no mood to intensify the publicity campaign. In case they do not, the movie business will almost end today leaving the film in severe losses.

Looks like the movie will end up as a loss venture despite being made on a very modest budget. The film had a decent hype as it comes from Sudheer Varma who delivered a successful film like Swamy Ra Ra for his debut film. But the makers could not cash it as they failed to maintain minimum publicity before the release.

It is interesting to note that Naga Chaitanya is yet to make a single Tweet about the movie days before the release. If such is the commitment of the actor, there is nothing that anything can do about him! On the other side, Akkineni fans are very disturbed with the movie performance.

Upcoming heroine Neetu Agarwal was arrested in Red Sandal smuggling case. She is in a live-in relationship with smuggler Mastan Vali who was arrested few days ago. He produced a film titled Prema Prayanam and they were seeing each other since then. Neetu Agarwal is alleged to have helped Mastan Vali in transportation of money.

Mastan Vali is also in to politics. He recently won as Mandal President from YSR Congress party in Kurnool district. He is said to have directed the illegal money in to films and politics. However Mastan Vali argues that he is innocent in this case and is only arrested due to Political harassment.

There are reports that huge amounts of money from Red Sandal smuggling were invested in Telugu and Tamil films. Smugglers have turned in to financiers and used to lead a lavish life enjoying with heroines paying huge money to them. With Andhra Pradesh government cracking whip on this smugglers, one by one are coming out.
