Tamannah’s Jewellery Brand Goes Live
A day before the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya, actress Tamannah Bhatia’s jewellery line ‘Wite & Gold’ has gone live.The website www.witengold.com has elegant day wear, gemstones, work wear and diamond jewellery designed by Tamannah.
The collection features rings, earrings and pendants.
“I’m very happy that I’m going to bring out (jewellery) for my fans, who enjoy the element of style in me in my films,” Tamannaah had told IANS earlier.
Asked what pulled her into the jewellery designing business, she said: “My father has been in the jewellery business for many years and I have always watched him and spent time with him.
“I always feel that lucky are those people who get a chance to take their passion as profession and turn into something more. I was lucky twice, I got that first with acting and I am doing it again now with jewellery,” she said.

Ganga – Kanchana 2 Still In Doldrums
Lawrence’s latest Horror Comedy Kanchana 2 opened to packed houses all over Tamilnadu and has been declared a blockbuster right on its first day.
The Telugu version of this film Ganga missed to hit the screens on Friday due to financial issues. Buyers are expecting the film to release on this Friday, but things doesn’t look in favor of Ganga says the buzz from film nagar.
Bellamkonda Suresh, the producer of Ganga has to pay a very large amount to his financiers who are not ready to give some more time for him.
The issue has been taken to the court and Bellamkonda Suresh should clear all the dues to release the movie on time. As per inside sources, Ganga may not release on this Friday too.
If Ganga doesn’t make it to theaters by Friday, Dohchay will be released in all the theaters that were booked for the former.
Bellamkonda Suresh has been facing lot of financial troubles as he lost so much money on Jabardast, Alludu Seenu and Rabhasa. Sadly he has a potential winner on hands at the moment, but couldn’t release the film due to past losses.
Buyers Not Ready to Bet Big on Balakrishna
Balakrishna’s previous film Legend was a very good hit at the box office and the expectations on his upcoming film Lion are raising by the day.
Lion is all set to release on May 1st, but the business is yet to be closed in many areas. Producer is expecting high rates for Lion and the buyers are reluctant to bet big on Nata Simham.
As per rumor mills, the producer of Lion is expecting somewhere around 45 crores from the theatricals. That is a hefty price for Balakrishna who doesn’t have single 40 crore film to his credit.
Buyers would be willing to pay around 35 crore ratio. However the producer has spent so much over the film already and is not ready to settle for anything less than the investment plus interests.
Lion release date is fast approaching and the business is not closed in any area as of now. Buyers are playing the waiting game so that producer would come down due to the mounting pressure.
OK Bangaram Rules US Box Office
Mani Ratnam’s classy romantic entertainer OK Bangaram has done decent business across Telugu states over the weekend and has done tremendously well at the US Box Office.
The film opened to super positive reviews and picked up on Friday at US ticket windows and collected more than 1 crore 40 lakhs gross until Sunday.
OK Bangaram collected a total of $236K until Sunday. The collection from the premiere shows was very ordinary with just $13K.
Collections saw a big jump on Friday as the film went on to collect $64K. Saturday was the best day in terms of collections with $103K. Sunday was decent too as it collected $56K.
Tamil version of OK Bangaram is also a big hit in US. Mani Ratnam’s brand and positive word of mouth helped the film to rule the US Box Office.
Last week’s release S/o Satyamurthy has collected $72K in its second weekend.
The weekend numbers indicate that the business of SOS in US has almost come to a close.
