Akkineni Nagarjuna continues to actively promote Lenin, starring Akhil Akkineni, even after its theatrical release. With the film performing steadily at the box office, the makers recently organized a success meet in Hyderabad, attended by Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Akhil, producer Naga Vamsi, and the film’s core team.

Speaking at the event, Nagarjuna addressed one of the biggest challenges currently facing the Telugu film industry—the frequent postponement of movie releases. Drawing a comparison with Hollywood, he cited The Odyssey, pointing out that its makers announced the release date nearly a year in advance and released the film as promised without any delays.

The veteran actor questioned why such consistency is difficult to achieve in Tollywood, where release dates often change repeatedly. He candidly admitted that even Lenin had to be postponed due to pending technical work, adding that such situations should become exceptions rather than the norm.

Recalling the filmmaking process from earlier days, Nagarjuna said that during the releases of classics like Ninne Pelladatha and Annamayya, films were usually completed and ready at least a month before their release dates. He expressed concern over the current trend, where many productions struggle to finish post-production work until the final days before release.

Concluding his speech, Nagarjuna urged filmmakers to prioritize timely planning and complete their projects as scheduled. He emphasized that honoring announced release dates would not only benefit audiences and exhibitors but also contribute to the overall growth and credibility of the Telugu film industry.

Lenin, written and directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, stars Akhil Akkineni in the lead role alongside Bhagyashri Borse. The film continues its theatrical run with encouraging support from audiences.
