Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara Postponed
With the sudden postponement of Kingdom and Thammudu, the industry is left surprised by the growing silence surrounding Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara. As time slips away, uncertainty over the film’s release date is mounting, leaving mega fans increasingly anxious.
Following the successful re-release of Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, expectations for Vishwambhara—touted as Chiranjeevi’s next grand fantasy entertainer—are sky-high. However, despite early buzz, the production appears to have hit rough waters. With no fresh promotions and a murky release timeline, fans are growing worried.
Originally slated for Sankranthi 2025, Vishwambhara was postponed to May, then pushed to July 24th to continue the legacy of Indra. But sources close to UV Creations and the Mega camp now indicate a July release is unlikely. August is also off the table, especially with big releases like War 2 and Coolie lined up.
Both War 2 and Coolie carry massive hype, and the Vishwambhara team is keen to avoid clashes after witnessing the impact of War on Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. With Nithiin’s Thammudu gearing up for a July 24th release, it’s clear Vishwambhara is no longer in the race for that date.
Industry insiders hint that heavy VFX work is a major factor in the delay, alongside pending song shoots and the absence of re-recording sessions—signs that post-production is behind schedule.
Given these challenges, Vishwambhara is now expected to release in September or possibly during Dusshera festivities.
