As Srinivasa Mangapuram gears up for its theatrical release on July 30, director Ajay Bhupathi has opened up about an interesting casting decision involving the film’s female lead.

In a candid conversation with manatelugu, the director revealed that actress Sara Arjun was initially considered for the role. However, the casting did not materialise due to certain internal issues, forcing the team to explore other options.

The role eventually went to Rasha Thadani, who stars opposite Ghattamaneni Jayakrishna in the film. Ajay Bhupathi shared that during the initial casting discussions, Dhurandhar had not yet been released, and he personally felt that Sara appeared a little too young for the character they had envisioned.

Following further discussions, the makers decided to cast Rasha, believing she was a better fit for the role. According to Bhupathi, the young actress met the team’s expectations and delivered a performance that aligned perfectly with the character.

The director also had words of appreciation for both Rasha Thadani and Ghattamaneni Jayakrishna, praising their talent, professionalism, dedication, and maturity throughout the shoot.

Produced by veteran filmmaker Ashwini Dutt, Srinivasa Mangapuram is all set to arrive in theatres on July 30, with the makers confident that the film will connect with audiences.
