Opinion: Wrong Move By TANA!
It was quite surprising to see KCR get an invitation from TANA (Telugu Association of North America) for its meetings scheduled at Detroit in 2015. Normally, the Telugu representative bodies are dominated by Seemandhra people and especially, the top functionaries of these organizations. While there is absolutely no doubt that these associations definitely uphold and propagate Telugu culture overseas and assist Telugu people in times of crisis, the latest invitation to KCR is uncalled for.
He and his band of men have repeatedly denigrated Seemandhra people using the vilest of language. KCR himself said that, “Our language is different, our dialect is different, and our culture is different.” In essence, he was repudiating his status and that of the Telangana people as ‘telugus’. Lending further credibility to this assumption is the destruction of statues of Seemandhra luminaries on Tank Bund and the burning of the effigy of ‘Telugu Talli’.
The last act in itself is sufficient enough to sever any kinds of ties with KCR and his people forever. In this context, no self-respecting Telugu Association would ever extend an invitation to KCR. Why did TANA do it? One reason could be that TANA top brass are friends and community mates of Thummala Nageswara Rao, the latest addition to KCR’s cabinet.
Thummala might have convinced them to extend an invitation to KCR keeping in mind his own political future. Whatever may have been the reason, it is wrong on the part of Telugu associations to extend invitations to people who deride our culture and label us ‘looters, cheaters’ and what not! By inviting them, we are only endorsing what they have spoken of us.
The Telangana people should form their own associations wherever they are located and retain their own distinctness. It will also prevent politics of opportunism as in the above instance.
Talasani buddies with TDP gang once again?
Talasani Srinivas Yadav, once the TDP strongman in Secunderabad, has now defected to TRS and although he never spoke in support of Telangana, he has been made a minister.
Now with Talasani being given the crucial cinematography given his close links with them, even those in TDP feel KCR is using Talasani efficiently. With the controversy growing over what name should be given to film chamber and commerce based in Hyderabad, now Talasani’s decision is key.
Hence, there are reports that to make sure that there is no animosity and everything gets resolved peacefully, sources say that Talasani Yadav is having fair discussions with the film fraternity which is again closely linked to TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu!
Don’t Pull Latha Rajnikanth Into This
With Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank) setting stage of auction of Rajnikanth’s wife’s two acre land in Kanchipuram Districit, it is highly publicized in media that the Superstar has fallen into a crust of loses as he failed to repay the 20 Crores loan. As the company Mediaone Entertainment that produced Kochadaiyan has taken loan of 20 crores from Exim Bank with Latha Rajnikanth’s surety, bank officials have decided to auction the guaranteed asset for loan recovery.
In a statement issued today, Mediaone has asked media house to not speculate about Rajnikanth’s financial status. As the loan is in the process of settlement, they want everyone to not pull Latha Rajnikanth into the matter.
According to discussions in media, as Eros Entertainment has brought the whole of Kochadaiyaan, why did the money paid by Eros was not paid to Exim Bank by Mediaone? Anyway, Rajni’s fans need not worry as the dispute is between Mediaone and Exim Bank, but not regarding Rajni’s properties.

Chandrababu angry on his MLAs! Why?
Well, the internal conflicts and ego differences between the TDP leaders is now making Chandrababu angry. Who do you think are those leaders? Firstly, the Ministers Ayyanna Patrudu and Ganta Srinivasa Rao at Vizag, Kesineni and Devineni Uma at Vijayawada.
The Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao along with MLA Avanthi Srinivas, MLA Gopal and TDP leader Bandaru Satyanarayana have all set to stop the joining of Konathala Ramakrishna into the TDP. However, Ayyanna Patrudu is willing to get in Konathal into the party.
After them, it is Kesineni and Devineni who are in neck to neck war. Addressing the media, Kesineni said “There is no coordination between the elected representatives and the officials. They are not bothered to intimate us about any official programs conducted in the district.
” Kesineni also added” It appears they believe that they are accountable to Irrigation Minister and need not to consult or intimate anyone of us. I strongly condemn their attitude. I fear to say that our government could do nothing for Vijayawada development all these months due to lack of coordination between us and the officials.”
However, Chandrababu warned Kesineni for making such statements in front of the media. So, what do you think? Will Babu take a serious action against these fights?
‘PK’ witnessing unprecedented growth trajectory: Disney India
New Delhi: Christmas and New Year season seems to have spelled magic for Aamir Khan’s latest release “PK” as the movie is doing phenomenally well not only in India but in the international market too. Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films, in association with Disney India, released “PK” Dec 19 and since then it has been soaring high at the box office both in India and abroad.
“PK has performed exceptionally well in India and many international markets, and with each day of its theatrical run, the movie is setting new benchmarks in many countries! Our distribution strategy ensured a wide availability for the movie across countries in all key centres.
“The film has performed phenomenally well – and is now the highest grossing Hindi film ever in its first week in India, North America, Australia and many more. Most importantly, the movie has seen an unprecedented growth trajectory.

Rajini Fan dies while watching Lingaa
A die-hard fan of Rajinikanth was found dead in a theatre screening ‘Lingaa’ in Coimbatore on Friday. C Rajendran, who was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer 3 months ago and being treated for it ever since then, went to watch ‘Lingaa’ against the advice of the doctors and family.
The 58-Year-Old went out of his house on Thursday night and boarded a bus to catch the 9.45 PM show that lasted till 12.55 AM. When the cleaning staff came to do their job, they spotted at this man lying in the seat and tried to wake him up thinking he might have fallen asleep. As there was no response, they grew suspicious and informed Race Course police.
Eye Witness say, Rajendran bought himself popcorn and soft drink during the interval and he thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Police handed over the body to family members after post mortem at Coimbatore Medical College. A case under section 174 of CrPC (unnatural death) has been registered.
Super Star Meeting with KCR
Bollywood Mega Star-Big B Amitabh Bachchan on Saturday met Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at CM Camp Office in Begumpet. Amitabh Bachchan, who is in city to receive ANR National Award constituted by ANR International Foundation, formally met KCR as a courtesy call and congratulated him for his success in achieving the new state of Telangana.
Amitabh Bachchan’s meeting with KCR has wondered many and set tongues wagging in tinsel town. Especially, Amitabh’s meeting with KCR comes close on the heels days after his visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Amitabh, the former member of Congress, quit politics sometime back. However, he maintains friendship with politicians cutting across party lines.
